Waiting for daughter to come out of Staples,. The colours on the trees are getting brighter and more abundant every day. Looks great! Chilly right now but is going to be a nice day. Off to grocery stores next then home again to get some yard work done.... Or bake or work on cakes, will see what I feel like. She is back, have to go.

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm here at Bernie's, running the cash register and drinking coffee...ahhh!

It'll only be a half-day today; the doctor still has me on light duty. I had to go back to the emergency room Thursday in Savannah. I was having some discomfort, and I've recently gotten nervous about chest pains, for some reason :-D. Anyway, I had another procedure, but now we're certain that my heart is doing great! It was just some indigestion due to the change in my diet, and all the medicine I'm taking now...thank the Lord!

So, I'm a happy camper again! Elizabeth is off to her first rehersal for the Nutcracker ballet. She has to go every Saturday and Sunday from now until Thanksgiving. We're so very proud of her!

Good morning everyone!


Oh! Today is my Friday. I received an email on Tuesday to write an exam for another job. The position is for a Compensation Advisor with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I am very excited and nervous to write this exam. This job would be incredible for me and it's the break that I have been waiting for. I need the entire day off tomorrow to write the exam. It's three hours long, but since I am on a limited day schedule at work, working half a day would count toward a full day of work. I just wouldn't be paid full. I don't want that! Anyway, please, wish me luck for tomorrow. I'd love nothing more than to have this job. I've done a bit of studying and hope to be very prepared.

heading out to the thrift stores this morning, want to find one of those mini pack packs for Saturday so I do not have to fuss with my purse all day.
Already been working on making cranberries for the cake. I think I finally figured out how to make them look more real. Next will be the carrots.
My fingers are red now LOL

Good Morning Christmas Aficionado's!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got off to a cool rainy start here in central Indy this morning but the sun is beginning to come out and we are headed to a high of 72 later today. Unfortunately we didn't get enough rain to keep the farmers out of their fields. I can already here the combines cutting down the corn in the distance. So it's time for me to live like a hermit and shut all the windows and stay inside for a few days. Hopefully that will keep me out of a full fledge allergy attack. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, I missed you guys!!! The last day I posted, my modem died and it took me this long to get a replacement. I tried going local, but all I ended up doing is going on a wild goose chase. I even called ahead of time and was assured they had one ~ I really wish that employees would learn the basics of the items they carry in stores. Ended up ordering one online and it took a week to get here.

Mouse, Palmer and Bo are fine, although Bo did give me a scare the other day. He was not acting right, but seems okay now. One of the missing kittens showed up and a friend of my cousin's posted a picture on his FB page of what looks like one of my missing cats. He lives about a mile from me, so it is likely that it is Bob

So glad to see you back & everything is ok! We were worried about you!! WELCOME BACK!!!

Good morning everyone. The last couple of days have been nice but too warm. It was 53 when I left for work and we're looking at a high in the upper 70s. But the weekend is coming with cooler weather; lows back into the 40s and highs only in the 60s. Definitely something to look forward to.

We finally have high speed internet at home. It was installed yesterday. Our son said we moved up a century overnight. Still no cell phone service at home. We may never get that.

I noticed on my way to work this morning that the trees are really getting pretty!!!! LOVE IT! :grin: Wish it lasted longer!!!

I don't have much to say this morning either other than my SIL didn't get her full pathology report back yet but it doesn't sound like the preliminary is great. She doesn't want all of us to know the full report, just that she does need further treatment. (which we already knew)- anyway...my sis (who was with her) says we can read between the lines. I'll just keep hoping & praying the radiation can get all of it & she can be be happy, healthy, & ALIVE after!! My hubby & I are going to see her Saturday. I'm working on making roast beef barley/veggie soup to bring her. :smile:

My girlfriends are taking me out tonight for my birthday...which was Sept 6th. We've been so busy, this is our 1st chance to go! I'll probably be tired tomorrow!!! Lol!!

Good morning, MMC! How is everyone today? I am well - just so very excitied - there is 99 days to Christmas, which is so wonderful! How can that be? I better get busy!

Today EA's birthday party. We spent a nice day together yesterday and her party will be a blast today. We have lots of family coming and some of our close friends coming. She is excited, but as Shellie said to me on Facebook, I am probably more excited than her. I love seeing my children so happy.

I bought my first Christmas gift last evening. It's for EA - she's so easy to buy for. It's a little styling set - with a kids curling iron, flat iron, hair dryer, etc. It's a Disney Princess set. I know she'll love it.

Well, I have a lot to do and DH is working on his end of stuff to help, so I better get going. I will talk to you all later on this evening. Have a great day! God Bless and talk soon!

Christmasstar, I keep thinking about you and those onions! Did you ever get any results other than onion odor? You deserve applause for being the guinea pig for this remedy! I relied on a different strong odor last night to help my bug: Vicks VapoRub. And it helped.

fabreeze got rid of the smell! Open windows helped too.
I like the smell of vicks, something comforting about it.

Good morning MMC!

I hope you all had a great weekend. The Bike For Mike event went really well! It was a beautiful day! The temps started out at 43º on our drive to the event, & worked its way up to mid 70's, sunny & gorgeous! Great day for a bike ride. The coffee tasted so good in the morning! Lol! I think eveyone had a great time & we don't have all the numbers in yet, but we should have about $2000.00 to put towards the scholarship. Not bad for the 1st year! I am so tired today though! We had to be up at 4:15 on Saturday morning. I was up til midnight Friday night. There was a music fest Saturday night in the park accross the road from our house, so we had a bonfire. I was up til 2:45am Saturday night, then we had mass for Mike Sunday morning, chicken dinners at my parents for lunch, then off to the lake we went. I am supposed to be off work tomorrow (Mikes birthday) so maybe somewhere along the line I can catch up on a little sleep! HA!
