Don't worry about me. I'm just a bit burned out with everything that is going on here. I need to head out into the woods again.
If you want to get into the woods, you can drive the tractor for me while I plant the rye patch for the deer. cheesy

How are you all guys today? I hope that much better than me because I'm terribly freezing. I cannot even feel my feet. Everytime I turn on the heating, my landlord turns it off. He says it's too hot for him. I required for heater and I really REALLY hope to get it tomorrow otherwise I won't take it anymore in such a cold. That's mental!

I also did some reading today for lectures but still plenty of it is left for the weekend. Urgh. I suppose that higher education has never been easy to achieve, hasn't it? ^^

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a cool rainy day here in central Indy with a high near 54 degree's. Quite a change from yesterdays 78 degree high. I'm just hoping that the rain moves out tonight and doesn't stick around for our big fall festival tomorrow. Well it's actually going on today too. So the people with booths are probably hoping that it doesn't rain today also. If the rain does hold off. I may run out there for lunch. Some hot apple cider and a deep fried milky way sounds good. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my well either you received our rainy weather or we received your beautiful weather - no matter which I hope it clears up so everyone can enjoy the festival

Homecoming high school football tonight. School gets out at 1:00 with the homecoming parade at 4 and the game at 7:30. Big stuff for a small town.

A group from our church is going to Hiawassee, Ga on Saturday evening to see the Christian singing group Casing Crowns in concert. Should be a great time.

Have a blessed day everyone.

I love homecoming games and such - if you are going hope you all have fun and the home team INS!!!! I have never seen them live boy that must be something are you going?

The only thing better than seeing Casting Crowns live is seeing them live in the Smoky Mountains! Have a great time!

Now I must say that would be something, but are you trying to rub it in that you get to go to those mountains!!!! *pouting here* J/K

Friday morning hello! Still dragging some, but we're going into a three-day weekend, so I can stand it. Here in the U.S. Monday is Columbus Day, but seeing as how it'll be Thanksgiving in Canada, there's a good excuse to have a turkey dinner sometime during the weekend! As the LOLcats say, "Nom!"

Part of my "tired" is because Mr. hasn't been getting as much sleep as he should, from looking after his dad, and if he doesn't sleep well, neither do I. Wednesday the doctor told MIL that it could be a matter of days ... he's getting "clingy" and afraid to be left alone in a room. Although, when the doctor gave FIL about 3 months, that was 7 or 8 months ago. Mr. is "on duty" for a few hours each on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'm hoping I can get him to relax some in between.

I'm hoping all of YOU get to relax some this weekend, too.

I like your idea of have a grand turkey dinner in honor of our northern neighbors!!!

Sorry to read about your family and what you all are going though, hopping you all find some peace, praying for you.

I uploaded a few more pictures from the StealthCam. They include a few cool shots of a bobcat walking through, and Farmer Brad on a tractor...LOL!

Wow, cool doesn't really express it - holy cabooses!!! I love it. Thx for sharing.

No work, no babysitting today. Going to get busy and get caught up on laundry and other stuff around the house.

We are planning to buy Six Flags season passes this year. We use to get them when the kids were little now we are going to enjoy it with the grandchildren. I am looking forward to Holiday in the Park and Fright Fest, it's been a few years since I went to it.

I hope you all have a Merry Weekend!!!

I love Fright Fest - hope everyone has fun!!!!

That's not normal to wear that after Labor Day? That's what I have on right now.

If you lived in Texas you would understand. We get cold during the fall/winter but we also have our weird warm days when everyone is out in December and January wearing shorts! cheesy

As I mentioned already today will be up in the 80's then drop drastically over the weekend down in the 40's! Capris and Flip Flops today, tomorrow a winter coat. Cloudy, winds up to 25 mph and COLD!

LOL!!! Crazy weather CAH!!!

I forgot to mention but last night my daughter invited me to a dinner at the college she teaches at. They have a Culinary School there and every few months they let the staff invite friends and family for a gourmet 3 course dinner for free! It's part of their schooling to cook up dinner and serve it. Tipping is not allowed and makes me feel a bit guilty because of the hard work they do but it's a school project they get graded on. The food was excellent!

My son-in-law, his brother, his mother and my mom were all there as well. We had such a nice time visiting with his family and lots of laughs! I love hanging out with them.

Sounds like it was a blast glad you were all able to get together.

Well now you know what happens when the reindeer can't keep up anymore, Seawaters.

Wow, who knew Santa ran such a tightly competitive sleigh team!!! LOL

Sorry I spoiled the surprise, Seawaters, I just couldn't resist showing Made what you are making him. When you're finished, I want one too!!!

OH MANN!!! I WANT ONE TOO!!!! PLEASE - PRETTY PLEASE... With a marshmallow hot cocoa type of PLEASE!!!!!

I was just looking at this video again that our very own, MerryCarey, uploaded. If you haven't seen it yet check it out! It will put you in the mood for Christmas!

Snowtime Serenade with Gloria Jean

thanks for the reminder I am going to watch it now

That sounds like a miracle! Is it something you can get at Walmart or Target? I have never seen it before...I know you live in PA like I do...could it be a regional thing (I'm not sure where in PA you live)?

I live outside of Pittsburgh. You can definitely buy it at Walmart and Target! My mom always picks it up at Walmart for us. Here is what it looks like:

It is the best cough suppressant I have ever used. We swear by it in our house. I used to have asthma really bad as a kid and I still mildly have it now so when I get a cold/cough it gets REALLY bad...my cough sound likes a barking dog lol. It really is great and I hope when you find it that it works for you!

Well it appears that as we were questioning Chad's passion for blue shirts during QVC's Christmas in September. He was raking in a small fortune for all of the company's involved. 9.2 million to be exact. Just in Christmas tree sales that day. Wow.

From another thread here on MMC:

We're looking in the Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, & New York area (within a 2 hour drive of these cities) for individual homeowners that elaborately decorate their homes for Christmas to compete against each other for a cash prize.

If you or someone you know lives in this area check out this post!

Hey VLT... Listen I am behind in posts and such so I am not sure where you live (I should have looked at your post) but in NYC all landlords must have the heating on and available for all rental properties starting 10/1/2012. If you share the heating from the same unit they are not allowed by law here to deny you; now that being said I know how uncomfortable it can be trying to reason with a landlord... I can recommend some good space heaters if you need more info send me an email.

Lauriebear too! Who else in here is from the areas listed? We can travel all over to help! :???:

YAY!!! We can make it a crazy cookie. sweater, decorating party!!!

Hmm. Maybe I can rent a house closer to Chicago and enter.

Chicago.... Yes, made we need to get you into this contest OK fire up the Jet we need to find a good place for made to settle so we can all decorate!!!

Well it sounds like my aunt is wore out and now she is going to bring my niece's in to stay the night. So if you don't hear from me the rest of the day don't worry. I'll just be going crazy.

Great Thread

I check the countdown often, but have never actually registered and posted until today! I'm excited to join in the discussion. This weekend in Oklahoma the high temp is only about 50 or so, so its going to feel like winter! Had to listen to some Christmas songs on my way to work this morning.
While I sneak some Christmas music in earlier, the Season for me always starts with Halloween. I love taking my kids trick-or-treating and watching them have a good time. I love it too because the next morning, on Nov. 1, I switch the decorations, music, and other things over to Christmas! Anyone else start the season then?

I hope Bo is okay, Meceka !!! xo

Thank you, CM3! Although he tries, he cannot climb all the way up the porch steps any more. Someone has to be there to help him up. He was very scared the first time we helped him as he didn't know what we were doing, but now he trusts us. It is so sad to see him getting this way :(

so cool, your brother writing a book. let me know how it is. i don't read alot but i do love a good 1 now & then.

I think it is cool, too. Once I get his rough draft read, he is going to clean it up and try to get it published. Since I read so much he wants my opinion on it :???:

Good afternoon Christmas friends!
It's Friday! Here we have Fall break all next week!
Yay! The kids are exiting!!

We are staying at home, but are taking some road trips.
Tonight I'm taking the boys out around seven. We will look at the stars
and I have bought them some new flashlights to use on our walk.
Its getting dark here around six! (and cold)

We thought of going up the mountains next week, but there is
something wrong with the water in the cabin. So we stay home.
I also promised the boys to take them fishing on Monday.

Im feeling better! Hurray! So GLAD it's Friday!

Join me for a cup hot chocolate with marshmallows?
I'll make one for you =]
