I forgot to add that here in northern California, we are in the below normal range for winter weather. What a surprise!!! Glad you had a good time at the concert!

Good Monday morning everyone. Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends.

We had a very good weekend. The Casting Crowns concert Saturday night was great. We had a very nice day at church yesterday. We have Sunday School at 9:45, Worship service at 11:00 and finally Sunday night service at 6:00. Just enough time in between services to eat lunch and watch some playoff baseball.

Back to work today. Temp was 45 this morning with some light rain. We are forecast to reach 50 for a high with a low of 38 tonight.

Sure hope Accuweather is correct with their winter forecast. They say we will have "much above normal" snowfall. Here is the link...

Have a blessed day everyone.

By the way, you are all invited here for Thanksgiving dinner on Monday! Bring desert and wine.

Oh, I was just thinking how I am hungry already this morning (for lunch) - Thanksgiving dinner sounds absolutely delish! I will be over!! I'm excited for you all celebrating Thanksgiving today!

we are back from Disneyland Paris and as soon as I will be able to load up pictures again....i will post em....we had blast...now Kandice is watching Ariel....and I am chilling on the couch....the house is a bit of a mess today....but after a 7 hour bus ride and hardly any sleep....I didnt have the energy to do much....tomorrow is another day!!!

WELCOME BACK!!! Glad to hear you had a great time!!!

I am so glad (((Buster))) is feeling well !! Wish is still going along pretty good !! I looked up his age and since he is 16 he is the equivalent of 80 years old !!!! Is that how old Buster is too ??? I forget xo

Buster is around 16 1/2. When we got him in Sept. of 1996, the vet thought he was about 6 months old. So I always say his birthday is March 15, 1996 as March 15 is our wedding anniversary & we can celebrate together. Lol!

Our dinner will be at 6 p.m. You are welcome to come, but stop and pick up others on the way!!! We woke up late this morning-- 7 a.m.!

Wow! I slept and slept and slept and it was GREEEEEEAT! My granddaughter will not be over until later this morning and I slept until almost 9 am. I went to sleep around 10 pm, got lots of sleep.

Now I am sitting here snuggled with my doggies and drinking coffee. It's chilly in here!

All the Canadians having Thanksgiving today is getting me excited for ours! Enjoy your day! What time is dinner???

Good FROSTY morning!!! :cold: Looks like I once again have a lot of catching up to do!! I'll never get to read all the posts since Friday afternoon, but I'll read what I can!!! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! We had a pretty good frost this morning. When I got up at 5am to walk, the thermometer said 30º! Brrrr!!! One of the girls I walk with works for the post office, so she has the day off. (Columbus Day) She was goingto go out shopping for Christmas. *SO envious*!!!

Have a great day!!!

Our cat adopted us in 1997. The vet told us she was about six months old, too. We celebrate her B-Day in January. Love that cat!

You have the lear jet so I need to borrow it. I will pick up everyone who wants to come! Be ready MMC, we are going to Seawaters for dinner! :D

Thanksgiving hello to everyone who's celebrating today, whether you're Canadian or not!

:gobble:

Should be a slow day here. We'll go out for lunch a little later before Mr. goes to spend the evening helping his mom.

Gorgeous cool day so far, and all of you are getting and keeping me in the holiday mood! I think another round of tweaking on the DVD menu will finish up the Christmas DVD. Having said that, something else that needs tweaking will probably pop up! For a time yesterday I seriously considered replacing our small TV with a new digital one so I could properly test the DVD.

Merrymistetoe, I know I'm going to do sausage balls...might make some cookies...

Oooh, sausage balls! That reminds me that I made them one time & they were delicious! I should make them again! YUM! Great idea to make them ahead & freeze them!

Speaking of Cookies, has anyone ever tried to make these? I found the recipie on-line and it sounds good, different, and definitely not fat free!!!But, it has caught my attention...

Ho-Ho SnowBalls

Ingredients

(2) 6-ounce packages of white chocolate chips
¼ cup of Heavy Cream
(2) Tablespoons Bourbon or additional heavy cream
6-ounce package slivered almonds, very finely ground
1-1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut

Directions

Place chocolate chips and cream in a medium bowl set over a pan of hot (not boiling) water; stir until melted and smooth.
Stir in Bourbon (or additional heavy cream) and almonds.
Spread in a lightly greased 8”x8” pan.
Chill for 1 hour, until firm.
Cut into one-inch squares; roll each square into ball, then roll into coconut. keep chilled.

Makes about 5 dozen

I have never made them, but I sure would like to try! Thanks for sharing. They sound delish!!!!

Friday morning hello! Still dragging some, but we're going into a three-day weekend, so I can stand it. Here in the U.S. Monday is Columbus Day, but seeing as how it'll be Thanksgiving in Canada, there's a good excuse to have a turkey dinner sometime during the weekend! As the LOLcats say, "Nom!"

Part of my "tired" is because Mr. hasn't been getting as much sleep as he should, from looking after his dad, and if he doesn't sleep well, neither do I. Wednesday the doctor told MIL that it could be a matter of days ... he's getting "clingy" and afraid to be left alone in a room. Although, when the doctor gave FIL about 3 months, that was 7 or 8 months ago. Mr. is "on duty" for a few hours each on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'm hoping I can get him to relax some in between.

I'm hoping all of YOU get to relax some this weekend, too.

My heart goes out to you & your hubby's family. That is so hard! :( Prayers going up!

Good evening, MMC!!

Hope you're all having a nice Friday night!!

I just finished watching one of my faves, The Family Stone. Put me in a nostalgic, Christmassy mood. :tree:

Adrian & I are going to watch Cabin In The Woods soon, and make some popcorn. Hope it's scary...now I'm in the mood for this:
:boo::zombie:hahaha!!

Oh man...I just gave "The Family Stone" dvd back to my friend over the weekend. Now I want to watch it again!!!! How was Cabin In The Woods?

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's a little chilly here in central Indy with a high near 56 today. I'm moving pretty slow this morning. So I think today is just going to be a lazy day. If I find some energy I still have some apples that I need to do something with. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
