Sure hope Accuweather is correct with their winter forecast. They say we will have "much above normal" snowfall. Here is the link...

http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/forecast-snow-days-for-winter/83754

Have a blessed day everyone.

It sounds like I have to plan some extra trips to the Smokies this winter.

Yea!!!! Happy days are here again.... My snow blower was awful lonely/ neglected last winter. Hopefully, it will get plenty of attention and get a good work out this winter!!!!

:playing:

Hey All! Just writing you from the treadmill hahaha trying to burn some calories before I feast at not one, but two thanksgiving dinners this week hahaa yum yum can't wait!! I am painting some mini pumpkins tonight

Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night!

OH MY I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU!!! SO GLAD YOU POSTED!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hi CAH !! My sister and I went today !!! I finally got the polar bear ornament with the light house !!!!!!! And lots others too !!!! xoxo There isn't much help or hope I am afraid for the insurance situation....Just can't get a straight answer as to when these changes are implemented.......But they WILL be implented........ xoxo

What a great ornament!!! Perfect for you... I love lighthouses I need to check it out

Had a great day out on the road. Only got lost briefly. Found a great thrift store, hung out at a Cracker Barrel, visited a super Walmart with the worlds slowest cashier running the till. Moms plane was only 10 min late. Construction on I94 put us on the road home 1/2 longer than the trip would normally take. Crossing the boarder both ways only took a few minutes, no line ups at all! Found a cute row of snowmen for my front window. Bought 3 shopping bags and a pumpkin that plays the Adam Family theme song. Stopped at Big Boy and got my son his favorite burger. Stopped at one of those road side rest stops, me and my daughter went in the stalls and started laughing, you could look right over the wall into the next stall!!! Glad no one else was in there at the time.
Now we are home, tired, out of money, and ready for a sleep.

Now this sounds like a GREAT time had by all!!!

Hey everyone! How is your Monday going? Mine is well - I slept for 2 hours or so, once coming home from work, then had to get up and get myself ready for family pictures this morning and got the kids ready as well. The pictures went well - I'm sure they'll be beautiful!

What is everyone up to otherwise? I am just relaxing with the kids and DH. I thought I would check in here for a little bit and see what is going on. I am off tomorrow and looking foward to it. I need the day off!

Hope all is well with everyone. I know I say it time and time again in my posts, but I do miss catching up with all of you. With DH being more busy with his work, that makes things more difficult for me to gets things done too, like getting on here. Miss you all!

Well, I am going to read the posts from today. God Bless and keep smiling. Prayers for you, your families, and furbabies!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's going to be another busy day.

We go to a small country church. It's so small, we have to share a preacher with another church. Our services are from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, then he has 30 minutes to get to the 11:00 am service at the other church. So we're aleays ruching around on Sunday morning getting ready for church, then we're home by 11.

Anyway, today we're having lunch at church after service, with a 2pm window dedication. A few years ago, we started a remodel that included changing the plain house windows out for stained glass. The windows were very expensive, so each family bought one. Today is the window dedication, and our window will be dedicated to the memory of my Dad. It should be a nice service.

After that, Elizabeth goes to Nutcracker practice while Jacob and I get back on the tractor. The kids are out of school tomorrow, but I have to work.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

ETA: Rub it in, coach. It's 68° here, going to 88°. Grrr.

How was the service on Sunday... I bet it was beautiful.

Hubby and I stopped at Bed, Bath, and Beyond when we were in Redding. We picked up some Keurig K-Cups. One is called Rocket Fuel! I think that might give a jumpstart to your day!

Tee hee over by where I live is an island we take the boat to "Fire Island" there is a bar called Flynn's you can dock at - the specialty drink is Rocket Fuel... Some good times I cannot recall do to partaking in a few of those but we have the pictures!!!! HA, HA, HA!!! I have got to try this coffee

hi guys this he the airblown that i was talking about earllier its new from gemmy what you,s think of it its 16 foot, i got the new 16ft they had out last year and yes it nice but i like the disney charactors as i already have a few other mickey/minnie airblown . my mate says she will buy the other one as i dont have room for everything if i go on the way am doing am gonna have to buy a field lol

I love it!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!

I think the plan is to tidy it up and then look for an agent/publisher.

That is very exciting!!! hope it is picked up in a flash!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian MMC friends! I hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends filled with plenty of good food, conversation, and fun. Let us all know how you enjoyed your day! I hope nobody had to cook too much - last Thanksgiving my mom and I spent the entire day cleaning up and cooking while everyone else hung out LOL!

Even though it's only 4:30, it seems like today has dragged on forever. I guess Mondays will do that to you! I had class this morning and I have spent most of my afternoon getting things done around the house and working on assignments. Not exactly exciting, but what else is there to do on a Monday? I might go out with a couple of my friends tonight, if not I will just stay in. The temperatures never got out of the mid 40s today - it's freezing! I am not even sure I want to go out because it is so cold.

I am glad that last week is over - it was hectic. This week is just going to be busier because I have a dentist appointment and some extra things to do for work and school. I feel like I don't get much time to relax! The weekends need to be longer, if you ask me :]

Time to go get some more assignments done, I swear they are never-ending! Then I might go outside to snap a few shots of the leaves before it gets even colder out with the sun going down. Have a good evening!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Yes I know Americans have it in November heh. Here are some scrumptious pictures for your mouth watering pleasure! hah!

Im so hungry seeing these pics hehe!! Glad your having a great day!!

Evening all!! Had a busy evening, got home from work, made tea then bathed the girls and read them a story before bed, having a quick cup of coffee now before heading to bed myself!!

Hope you having a good day peeps!!!:playing:

My wife and I rarely get to watch any movies but over the weekend we sat down & watched Courageous. It was a great flick and I think all dads should see it.

I've been wanting DH and myself to watch this - it's so hard for us to get time alone together, especially with our different schedules, but maybe on one of nights off soon, that's what we could do!

I LOVE the smell og turkey filling the house!
Tomorrow sound so great! You are so lucky =]
I wish you and your family the best Thanksgiving tomorow! ♥
-HAPPY THANKSGIVING-

Solice I guess I could just Goggle this but figured I just ask... Do they celebrate Thanksgiving Day in Norway, if so when?

QUOTE=Christmasstar;469758]the smell of turkey fills the house. Started making the pumpkin cheese cake. Still have to make gravy and stuffing. Then it all goes in the fridge for tomorrows family Thanksgiving dinner at my brothers place. With so many coming and such a small kitchen we have to pre-cook everything. .[/QUOTE

Have a lovly day tomorrow with your family

How about in Ireland Shellie do you celebrate Thanksgiving Day if so when?

We went to church this morning then I went to work this afternoon.

It's been very chilly all day and I LOVE IT! It's that time of year when the dogs get extra snuggly to keep warm! I have chihuahuas and they get cold easily.

Tee hee my golden Snickers, does the same thing, loves to snuggle on the couch we share this blanket it is so cute because when I pull it out her tail starts to wag and she shighs!!!

As Rafiki said in the Lion King, "It is Time!" :boo:

Yes... It is time, I love that from themovie good one Xma

Gobble Gobble my Canadian friends:march: i hope all of you have a wonderfully memorable Thanksgiving up there!

good morning My MC cuties!!!! hope this morning finds each of you feeling better than before a good nights rest.

my b-i-l's mother passed away last evening. they had went back home on friday morning. his brother called him yesterday & said to come back, their mothers breathing was very bad. he got here & saw her & about 10 minutes later she passed. i am so thankful he was able to see & speak to her before she left for her heavenly home. her name was Maggie Lou Stacks. she had 2 sons, 2 daughters, & made a career as a beautician. had numerous grands, some she helped raise. over 5 years ago she was diagnosed w/ Alzheimer's & had gotten really bad. she was 1 month shy of turning 90. Miss Maggie had a very full life. i don't think she would want anyone to be sad now.so i'm just gonna be happy for her & pray i live that long & happy.

i got up BEFORE the roosters this morning! hubby woke me in a panic. scared the bajeebers outta me, the dishwasher had flooded the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i got all over him for that. as long as it's not someONE it's ok. besides seeing him so upset, i had to stay calm, ya' know? he said, "you'll have to get the mop to dry it up". now let me tell y'all, my mop is a rag head mop about 12" long & my kitchen ain't small. do you have any idea how long i would've been there doing that w/ that little mop????? i'll tell ya', TOO LONG! i went & gathered towels & started soaking it up & squeezing them out & soaking more up. bless his heart he started helping me. it was up in just a little bit so here i am now, wide awake on my 2nd cup'o joe.

daughter is out of school today for Columbus day & assuming i didn't have to get up early this morning, i stayed up till midnight watching TV. i think i may be dragging in a bit now.

our choc.lab, Maggie(coincidentally same name) hurt her leg last week some how. Seth noticed her limping & we checked her over & found a single puncture wound on her front right leg. this is hubby's pup & he wasn't here. w/ seth's help i cleaned the wound, put salv on it & covered it w/ the top of 1 of hubby's socks. she is the sweetest thing & i can't stand to see any of them hurt. we didn't play ball w/ her because no matter how bad she's hurt she would still try to run & jump. her limp is almost gone now & the wound has healed over on the outside.
she's our gentle giant. she probably weighs about 100lbs. & in the a.m. when we feed them all she stands right over the food, her head up, looking around, & lets' Daisy, Diva, & Mickey eat. when she knows they're finished she'll look around 1 more time & then she will begin to eat. God love her, she is so sweet. our cat, Holly doesn't like any of us (lol) but Maggie. Holly will get on her stoop & if any of them come over she hisses & swats @ them w/ fangs showing, but not w/ Maggie. Maggie will put her face up to Holly & Holly will lean over & lick her & they rub faces. precious!

wow, i am really talking this morning huh? sorry. on saturday & sunday i have no one to talk to because hubby & Seth are watching football ALL DAY, daughter is usually gone, & Will is @ work.i have to catch up w/ y'all!

have a blessed day friends!!!!!:merry:

It really was, and it even had a nice surprise. The new windows were too expensive for Nancy and me to be able to buy one. At that time she was home with the kids, and wasn't working at all. Anyway, after I read the dedication for our family window, I sat down. Then they called me up again. Apparently, Dad bought another window with Nancy & my names as the givers.

He's been gone 7 years this month, and he's still surprising me.

cheesy

The answer would be no. Thanksgiving is strictly a North American holiday. It was started to give thanks for a strong harvest that would help our first settlers make it safely throughout the cold winter months in the new world.
