I am on my way to bed. I am super, super tired tonight. I am a little worried about my Hermione. The right side of her face is all swollen up. She is not acting sick. She is breathing just fine, playing normally, eating normally but that side of her face is REALLY swollen. I looked in her mouth, no sores, no tenderness. I can't figure it out. I am going to see if it resolves in the next day or so and if not, to the doctor she goes.

What about a tooth problem. or coming from a gland or wood she have got bit by anything ??? or her ear. a swelling can be coming from the outside as much as inside hope she bes ok ~}

I still on the edge of a flu. As long as I am able to work tomorrow everything is fine. Tomorrow I am the only one of my team who is in the office, everyone else is at the company fair.

I got a question for you. Maybe someone can help me. I'm very interested in the american history, mostly in the time of the westward expansion and the whole daily life of the pioneers during that time (I honestly admit I got inspired through Little house on the prairie). I read a lot of books about it but I would like to join a online community to talk about those times. Does anyone knows such a community or forum? I searched with Uncle Google but so far didn't find anything.

I am in a rush this morning! I am packing a lot of last minute things, weighing my suitcase, tossing liquids into the bag, and hoping that I didn't forget anything. I hate that feeling - no matter what, I keep thinking that I forgot something. I made a list a few weeks ago and as I pack things, I scratch them off. I hope I didn't forget anything obvious. I have to finish getting ready and then my flight is in a few hours. I will hopefully talk to you guys at the beginning of next week! I might be able to pop online at some point since I will have internet access in the room.

I remember how some of us were lamenting the end of the Season last year, but time has quickly flown; and we are now at a new beginning! I LOVE this time of year! Hubby is taking me to work a little early. A friend is driving me to my radiation appointment this afternoon because Hubby has to go to the Elks Lodge and work on the Scouts' Dinner for tonight. Since Hubby is taking me to work, I don't have to have my friend follow me home to park my car. Then after the radiation, we are treating her and her husband to the dinner. That way, it's a win-win situation: I am thanking her and the Scouts make money! Have a great day, everyone!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, it's crazy here at work today. Doggone engineering consultants for the power companies are trying to prove that they are needed, so they force me into revision after revision. Grrr.

My mom has decided to visit the Smoky Mountains by herself since no one else can take to go with her. I don't usually mind her going alone; her place is in a great area, and she's still very capable and independent, but she's getting over a recent shoulder surgery. She saw her doctor this morning, and he released her to drive and told her a trip like this was ok, so who am I to try to stop her? I'm just jealous that I can't go, too!

I am feeling quite yucky today, my head is pounding. I have not watched any of QVC today, but I did watch Bad Santa, it is funny but not really the best representation of a Christmas movie. Give me Clark, Ralphie, Hermey, and anyone else for Christmas any day. Once again the political phone calls have not stopped today.

i am getting oober excited about Christmas!! i wasn't like this last year. i mean i was but not this soon & it seemed to be more of a chore to decorate & this year i'm getting all kinds of new ideas to do around the house!! yippee!

my rents are back from my sister's @ the beach. house & dog sitting again as sis *& b-i-l went on a cruise. i really missed them this time. i do every time though. my daddy came back w/ a cough. i worry so much about him. he had this same cough last month & here it is again. my daddy's 80 but acts like a 60 yr. old. usually full of energy. he's got some Mucinex he's taking but he has heart & blood pressure issues so he won't take anything else. i'll keep a tight watch on him. please keep him in your prayers.

my mama is well. she's the cutest little thing. she asked me to take her to an appt. on Monday so i'm going. she & my daddy worked in the textile mills here in our tiny town for years. it was discovered in the last several years that aspestos (spelling?) was all over everything they used. long story short my mama has some lung issues from it. she has a specialist she goes to. my mama is 76 & runs circles around me any day!!!!! this appt. is to discuss some breathing issues she has @ times. lordy lordy, don't know what i would ever do w/out them!!!!!!!

we are having leftover chili tonight so yaay-mama ain't gotta cook! woo hoo. i just love those small blessings.

My parents will be 85 (Dad in December) & 84 (Mom in February) They are both doing pretty well - my Dad likes to grump. Lol! He had a dehabilitating stroke when he was 69, so things are harder for him sometimes. But generally they are both really good - Mom takes water aerobics at the Y 3 days a week... but yes, we always worry about them! I hope your Dad is feeling better quick!

Long time, no see....good evening. Had to work late tonight...just getting home. Having some issues with some things at school with some unhappy parents and trying to get things resolved. Then you got paperwork, then more paperwork.

Anyways....it sure makes me ready for Thanksgiving. We gotta go buy some stuff for Halloween this weekend, but Thursday I'm getting Christmas light out and Sunday I'm putting them up. Not going to get them plugged up, but they will be ready for the night before Thanksgiving.

Was going to try to catch up, but there are over 50 some odd pages, so it's gonna have to wait!

Can't believe we are just a mere 2 months from Christmas Eve!!! Wow...Just checking in the say hello to all my Christmas buddies! I hope e veryone has a great hump day!! We are getting some great halloween weather just in time...we just have a few more days of 80's then I think we are getting down in the 40's at night and 60,s and 70's in the day which is normal...anyhow Last sunday I finished with the rest of my fall decorations! It's almost noon on a momentous day. Three weeks from today we will be celebrating the beginning of the Christmas Season. How fantastic! I can't wait to countdown the minutes with you in less than three weeks. The Season is nearing and that is quite evident by all the contributions in the Blossoms thread. Speaking of threads, this thread seems to have exploded today. There must be some real interesting happenings on QVC!

I think I might even start watching it now just because of all the funny talking I have to see this live

Following today, I don't know if I will be around until next Monday... I'll attempt to post if I have time. As I mentioned earlier this month, I will be flying to Tampa Bay and then driving to Sarasota tomorrow to take part in Division II USAU Nationals. It should be a real good time. The weather looks to be beautiful, but how could it not - it is the Gulf Coast, after all!

I'm excited for my trip. It will be my first time flying into the U.S. I've flown within Canada and Europe, but never to the U.S... A 7:30 AM flight requires me to be up and traveling to the airport at about 5 AM. I'm not looking forward to that! Oh well, it will be a great experience overall. I just hope that my knee holds up during the games... It's been feeling much better within the past couple days. We'll see if it is too early or not while I'm there. At least I have the opportunity to play and experience the nice weather!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday. Tomorrow is 'Pines Day. Maybe I can stop in while waiting at Laguardia? And then the next day is Rudolph Day. The second last Rudolph Day before Christmas. Excellent! Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning everyone. It is too warm here for me. Yesterday, today and for the next couple of days highs in lower 70s and lows in lower 40s. But better weather is coming, starting Sunday forecast highs are lower 50s and lows in lower 30s. Much better mid fall weather.

I have a lot of leaves to move. Our home is in the woods so I just rake/blow them away from the house and off the driveway. I worked on it this past weekend but lots more have fallen since.

Can't believe how fast time is moving by. Our family's Christmas season always starts the weekend of Nov 9. It is son's birthday and since he was 5, we go to Pigeon Forge for the weekend to celebrate. They turn on their Christmas lights that weekend and we always look forward to it. Our son will turn 17 this year so he probably will not be going with us too many more times.

Good morning! Happy Pines Day!!! After reading posts this morning I am totally shocked that 2 months from today is CHRISTMAS EVE!!! I can't believe I didn't think of that when I wrote the date this morning!!! I must have tooo much on my mind! :lol: Anyway....AWESOME!!!! :grin:

Tomorrow night I am getting together with 2 (maybe 3) friends & their kids to watch It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown AND Garfield Halloween! I am bringing some warm wine with mulling spices & of course we'll have snacks! We are all bringing something to work on while we watch... (I'm bringing my afghan, another friend is making an afghan & I'm not sure what the other 2 are bringing to work on) - I'm really looking forward to it!! Go figure tomorrow is supposed to be almost 80º & we planned for warm wine. Ah well...it will set the mood for some awesome Halloween shows. This might have to become a yearly tradtions!

I posted in a reply that I watched a cute Christmas movie last night "Christmas Angel" on Netflix. I will definately watch that one again. Sweet movie!

Good morning everyone. It is too warm here for me. Yesterday, today and for the next couple of days highs in lower 70s and lows in lower 40s. But better weather is coming, starting Sunday forecast highs are lower 50s and lows in lower 30s. Much better mid fall weather.

Can't believe how fast time is moving by. Our family's Christmas season always starts the weekend of Nov 9. I raked leaves last night...wew...what a job!!!! And that was just leaves from 1 large maple tree!!! Since it rained yesterday, they all came down & stayed - we needed some wind to blow them away!!! :lol:
