I still can't wrap my head around tomorrow being Halloween ... it snuck up on me like a ghost. Gotta get my Christmas music, movies, and books out and ready to go!

Me, too! I still haven't finished Dracula. Puts me behind on where I wanted to be at this time. I guess I will have to read the one his great something or other wrote a few years back in January so that I can read all some of my Christmas books. They are far better reads! I hope things slow down for you, Merry, so that you and Mr. can enjoy the Season!!!

They loved it and we actually all slept really well!! They are now busily climbing what was a neatly folded pile of blankets and pillows and jumping off! :)

Thank you, that's so kind ... One thing that may help is coming tomorrow. Back in September I pre-ordered Tom Baker's unabridged audiobook of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." It wasn't supposed to arrive until November 15, but I got an email saying it will be delivered tomorrow, and I've really been looking forward to it. I've also found an unabridged reading by Dickens' great-great-grandson Gerald Dickens, but I already have THREE unabridged readings, counting Tom Baker's! The temptation to hear Dickens read by a Dickens descendant will probably win out in the end. cheesy

Wilson is Palmer's bigger neon green ball with a smiley face on it. She loves it and is devastated that I cannot find it.
I think houses have the Bermuda Triangle effect when it comes to cat toys! We sell cat toys at the feed store I work at and customers come in constantly replacing toys that they cannot find. It is usually the little furry mice. Their cats do not go outside either so it's not like they lost it outdoors. My parents have cats and their toys always come up missing (same with my cats), never to be found. Maybe cats eat their toys!!!

Nothing major ~ thank you, Made! How did your family fare?

So far so good!! The wind seems to have died off a little here. This morning is was just howling in between the apartment buildings. Now we just have to deal with the annoying rain.

This is SO FUNNY!!! I needed this.

I am so glad you have an electrician coming. That stuff is so dangerous!

Good morning,

It is pretty much back to normal here, wife is at work, kids are at school and preschool, I was hoping for a day with them today. I guess it is good things are relatively okay here. I went to Kmart this morning to buy some candy for trick or treaters, which will be postponed until Sunday as a precaution before the storm got here. Then went to Goodwill shop and looked at their Christmas stuff good stuff there today, I finally picked up a copy of the book "Miracle On 34th Street" it came with a tree ornament for $2.

Something happened to the house last night though, I cannot figure out what it is. One of our rooms keeps tripping the circuit breaker, I turn it back on and it just goes right back off again. I don't know if some rain got inside the wall and is tripping it or what but it has me worried, I have it off now and I am hoping the sun being out will dry things up a bit. Looks like the electrician will be here at some point.

Oh yeah, Kmart has there Christmas stuff up, it looks great as usual.

Have a great day, and continue to stay safe.

Dickens read by a Dickens descendant would be cool to hear ~ enjoy!

It has to be one or the other!

That's good news! I hope the rain lessens.

Good Tuesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's chilly down south, and windy, but the sun is shining. I've been trying to wash the house for a couple days now...Nancy wants it clean for trick-or-treating visitors...but Sandy keeps the wind blowing so hard, I can't spray the soap on the house. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My best friend, cousin, and keyboard player, Ed, called last night to say that our band has a gig...! It's been almost a year since we've played anywhere. Everyone got so busy with real life, we didn't have time for the band. But after a year, we're all missing it. Heck, our lead guitar player lives in Birmingham and our bass player is moving to Atlanta, but they both want to play. I'm ready!

I hope everyone is faring well after the storm.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

It has turned out to be a beautiful day here, the sun has been out all day, and it is almost 70*F. I see that some places in WV has gotten over 30 inches of snow and it is still falling. I hope everyone there is safe. The rooms electricity is now working, it must be a moisture issue in there, we still need it to be checked out though. I am looking forward 3 days from now, Music Choice goes Christmas, I cannot wait!!!! My wife keeps saying it is to early, but I tell her its fair game because it is on a tv channel and I didn't put the music on myself. I am already thinking of staying up to watch the switch from Halloween music to Christmas music. (I think I need help) cheesy

Enjoy the rest of your day, and continue to stay safe!

LOL!!! Me too then because I did it last year and will probably do it again this year.

I talked to my aunt in Holidaysburg, PA and she said it's pretty nasty back that way. There's over 10,000 people in their county without power. So I'm guessing that Sugar probably doesn't have power since she isn't to far away from my aunt.

Sugar just posted on facebook that they are okay.

Checking in! Yes, it did get very nasty back this way. As I had said last night, that house had fallen, then bricks were falling off of two buildings too in the city. The worst of it came on my way to work or around that time. There were trees down everywhere and I just had to drive around them. Just thankful I got to work safely.

No, we actually didn't lose power. A lot in Altoona did and parts of the section of Altoona that we live in lost power, but we luckily didn't! Praying for people who still don't have power and who were affected by the storm.
