Coach, I cannot thank you enough for sharing with me about your dog's health! I had told Caninemom and Made about Chico's heart problem. Caninemom has been a great help as well since her dog has suffered the same problem. Made had told me about your dog as well. These stories are giving me great hope with my little doggy. I was a mess thinking the absolute worse! That diagnosis, congestive heart failure, sounds HORRIBLE! I am just exhausted with emotion. Well, now we will move forward to celebrate a fantastic Christmas since my dog is feeling well! He goes back in a couple of weeks for a check up.

I wish I had stayed awake for the countdown to the season so sad I missed it.

Today lunch and shopping with my best friend...hopefully getting my Christmas shopping started since I have yet to buy 1 gift. Tonight is date night with Michael, but we will probably stay in and watch a movie and play video games:merry:

It was purt'near as much fun reliving the Season countdown by reading the posts, as being there in person! Got my morning off to a good start, even though it's chilly and dark and rainy. Mr. had tossed my fall jacket into the washer and dryer, so it was nice and toasty when I put it on to go out this morning. Wish I could just stay here an enjoy your company all day, but I have to work here at the office and earn money for Christmas gifts and decorations and postage stamps! :wink:

I should have reloaded the Christmas music first. I have too much music.

If RJD had been here, he would've said something like: There's NO such thing as too much music! And that goes double for Christmas music!

you can find my recipe in that cookbook we put out here....still do not have mine, but have been told it does exist! I think when it got sent out the Bermuda triangle got it and Amelia Erhart is now cooking Christmas dinner using all our recipes.

THAT is one of the best lines of the year!

Yep and I have the dark circles under my eye's to prove it.

I do too, but this was totally unexpected and more like true winter camping than being inside!

I love winter camping!!! When I was in scouts, our December and January camp outs use to be my favorite.

Uh oh, the turkeys have it in for me then.

Unfortunately, they probably do.

Thanks for the encouragement, but ... we're at that awkward age. Too old to function after staying up late ... not old enough to retire. I'm just about to jump in and try to catch up with the 30+ pages of posts that happened after I logged off. I'm sure a (coffee- and tea-fueled) jolly and festive time was had by all!

Hey everyone! 6 weeks until Christmas! Happy start to the season! just checking in quick on a break, then I am off for the day.

My family will be celebrating tonight, with a huge meal, the Elf on the Shelf DVD, book, and the kids will also be introduced to the elf for the first time. They will have to give him a name and I will let you know what it is.
