Good evening, Christmas family

Just relaxing now and watching The Polar Express !!

I want to thank everyone for all your encouragement about starting the methotrex*te. I know you all want the best for me and after a lot of consideration and reading, I am considering not starting this med. It is a DANGEROUS drug. It is notorious for causing liver problems, mouth sores, nausea, tumors and hair loss. Now, I want to get improvment in my psoriatic arthritis but not if it means I am going to be sicker which it sounds like I would be. I was on this drug once before orally and got sicker than a dog. The doctor yesterday told me that the injectable form has less side effects. I don't know about that after some of the things I read. Does any of this make sense to anyone ??? I am very scared of this drug........At any rate I feel there is no hurry to start this and I plan to hang on to my prescription and talk to the doctor further and express my concerns. Maybe there is something else....I hope.....

I hope everyone has a wonderful, Christmassy evening.

Jennifer, I hope you feel better - you have been sick far too long.

Xmas, I hope you feel better soon. Vacation is just around the corner !!

MerryMistletoe - Praying for Will's grandmother xo

Have a Christmassy night everyone !!! xoxo

My last radiation is over!!! Hooray!!! For some reason, today was extra tiring. I am going to take a nap and will be back on afterwards. Take care, everyone. Track, I think endoscopy is through the mouth and proctoscopy is the other end! Hubby has had many endosopies done to have his esophogus "stretched" out.

I'm so happy for you... I believe you deserve to be taken out and treated to something very nice and special! I hope that Santa is extra good to you this year!!! God Bless you and I hope and pray that nothing but good things, always come your way... Merry Christmas Seawaters~

Good evening friends! I too am watching ABC family, but Home Alone is just starting for me. The Polar Express must be after :-) Yay! Thinking of you and hoping you find something else that will help soon :) Hope that all of you wonderful Christmas people have a fabulous evening! XO

hi everyone....I wasn´t on mmc very much the last few days....I would like to ask for prayers for me....on Monday I will have to have a Proctoscopy (not looking forward to that procedure ;) )......and as always I am panicing that the outcome will be devastating...it is part of my character to always worry terribly and expect the worst....so I would appreciate if You guys could pray for me that all is fine....or that it is nothing major....as both doctors have already said...that they think it is nothing serious...so I would appreciate You guys to say a lil prayer for me....thank You in advance

i actually think it is an endoscopy...not sure about the english term

You're in my thoughts.

Snowflake, so good to see you. How is the move coming along?

I received my smoked brown sugar, and it smells and tastes divine. I think I will try it on some ham first.

Brent, take care. I have had two knee surgeries and they are not really too bad. I healed fairly quickly and then had physical therapy. No more pain! Good luck to you.

Nap time!!!

Congrats on finishing up radiation.

Honestly, if I were in the pain that you are - I would try anything. Look at just about any drug on the market and you will see all kind of side effects, some of them very serious. I think it truly depends on the form of the medication (pill, shot, etc) and your personal tolerance. If the doctor said this form is different than taking it orally, I would give it a go. I think you would know relatively quickly if you were having any serious trouble and you could go off of the shots. You might get a huge surprise and have a ton of relief without any side effects. I see it as you are taking a risk and a leap of faith, but it might have an enormous payout. All drugs are very, very scary and intimidating at first, but you never know.

Go with your gut and do what is right in your heart, but I wanted to weigh in.

Thank you, Jennifer. You are wise beyond your years !! Which doesn't surprise me. I am still considering it and also considering what you just wrote. Thank you for helping me look at it in a new perspective. (((HUGS))) xo

So cute!

I just let my cat play Catzilla through my Christmas Village!

I didn't put my whole village out, it takes 2 days to do so. I just put out a few pieces. My cat was just so curious, jumped up on the table and walked through the whole village sniffing each piece. I just let him go for it because once he can sniff everything, he is done. He was very careful and only knocked over a couple of pieces, nothing broke! I should have taken a video of it then add some crashing sounds to it!!!

Not my kitty here. (No one was hurt during the making of this picture).

Excellent news, MC. I, myself, have seen something similar happening at our Lodge!!! Thanks for sharing!

Magical Christmas things are happening with the afghan I put up for sale in the Merry Marketplace to benefit Santa's Sleigh---not one, but TWO anonymous members separately bought the afghan and immediately re-gifted it to MMC. In other words, the afghan's price has TWICE been donated to Santa's Sleigh, and the afghan is still available for purchase! (The sale ends Dec. 10 at 10 p.m.) Such generosity has me speechless. But it's so typical of MMC!

That is great!

Thank you Xmastidings. You and all the other members here are SO special to me. You have made this journey much more bearable!

It is time for some wine and TV! Since I don't have radiation anymore, I might just sleep in until 6:45 tomorrow!!! Goodnight, all!

Good evening,

Long productive night at work, but it wasn't a good night. Someone who I thought was a friend threw me under the bus to get what she wants, I do everything by the book and keep to myself but she finds a way to bring me into her problem. I am sure management will want to talk to me now and there is a slim chance I may lose my vacation, even though it has been approved for months, due to her issues. Whenever she doesn't get what she wants, everyone else suffers and management just strokes her ego. Sorry for ranting but I am so ticked off about this.

I should probably get to sleep, I have to head back to the funhouse for 7am.

Good night all.

It is a dangerous drug. They use it for Chemotherapy. The side effects can be managed though. The main side effect of the shot is going to be an upset stomach. The folic acid should really help with that according to my sister. They will also probably do blood work on you a lot to check your liver function (they check my niece every month). After being on it for 2 years my niece's blood work did come back with decreased liver function a couple of months ago. They cut her back for a month and everything went back to normal. She's never really had any other problems with it. That being said, my sister thought long and hard before putting my niece on it and she has friends whose kids have had worse reactions. So it's really up to you. It's a drug that works for a lot of other people but if you want to try something else first, I wouldn't blame you.
