Good afternoon, everyone! Sitting here enjoying looking at the snow. DH just called me and said he arrived at work and the roads are really bad. I imagine they will have a busy night. Praying for everyone's safety.

What are the rest of you up to? Not much going on here. I need to decide what to make for dinner. EA seems to be feeling better. I think maybe I will make a homemade pizza.

I guess I spoke too soon...DH just got called out for a fire.

I will be praying for your DH, Sugar. I'm glad EA is better.

What a bummer EA's present is broke. I hope she is better soon!

Thanks! Walmart gave us a little bit of a hassle about. DH actually had to unscrew the tv to get her brand new DVD out because they couldn't replace that. That made me very unhappy. We better get our money back and not store credit. I am buying the next one somewhere else.

Uh oh, CAH. Don't let Made hear you! He will definitely find something for you to do! You know that, don't you?

I am trying to figure out what to do today. No work, no babysitting, Wayne works today, snow on the ground and the temps are freezing outside. My spirits are better than expected, seeing that it's the day after Christmas. I think I should tackle a project here at the house. I know there is something around here that needs some organizing!

What does everyone else have planned for today???

I think if we had snow on the ground I would definitely still be in a super Christmas mood with no blues anywhere on the horizon!

Hubby and I are going to our Edward Jones rep to discuss our income when I retire. I am not looking forward to it. Even though I am good at math, retirement, Medicare, and insurance baffle me. I always feel so dumb, especially when there are so many plans, schedules, and policies to choose from, and when there are deadlines to meet. Calgon, take me away!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I pray everyone is safe and warm!

My goodness, it is dark out right now! I'm not sure what is going on, but as soon as it gets dark out, my energy plummets. So much to do yet today! Mouse had me up early ~ she was cold and hungry. The heat was on and there was food in her bowl, but it wasn't what she wanted. She has gotten quite bossy of late. She loved her Christmas presents ~ a turquoise fuzzy blanket and her favorite cat food. I took a picture of her while she was resting on her blanket. I even put a Santa hat on her ~ so cute. It is on my cell phone and when I remember to transfer the photos to my email I will post them on here. Palmer had a good Christmas, too. She got a new bed which I put on top of her old one so it is now super cushy where she sleeps. She also got several ping pong balls ~ my she loves playing with those!

Please take care! I wish all of you MERRY dreams!

Happy first day of Christmas 2013! Or maybe it's just the 2nd day of Christmas because Christmas is going loud and strong still in our house! Anyone get any good deals today? I picked up some lights but it was messy today - snow and ice and now WIND and rain. Can someone send some REAL snow to the east coast? We've been ripped off big time! Last year was a bust and I can't deal with another snow-less winter!!

I agree, the blues are real I used to have them real bad, mostly the years after my ex first left. Since finding these forums and spending time with all of you they have mostly gone. Now I focus on the wonderful memories of Christmas and what is to come.

The Post-Christmas Blues are the main reason I joined just after New Year's 3 years ago. I cannot stand that feeling, I use to feel so weird, out there, not normal because I use to cry a lot over Christmas being over. I still get the occasional tinge of that feeling but coming here has helped the most and doing something daily involving Christmas like my Christmas Song A Day thread has helped especially in the dog days of summer when Christmas is still just a dream away.

Praying all will be well, Christmasstar!

I agree with the blues disappearing after finding MMC... I just see it as the blessing of early planning now! I start thinking about things I want to do the day after (today!) for the next year! Like, Thanksgiving is REALLY late this year (the 28th!) so we will definitely be getting our tree prior! And I am thinkign about stringing colored lights all over the boys' ceiling. They would love it! We are knocking out the add-on closet in our room so our middle room (playroom, soon to be guest/playroom) so I will have room for my BIG faux tree in there next year... and I think I will just do MORE LIGHTS everywhere inside!! We've perfecetd our outdoor lights.. but we could always use more (in my opinion!!)

Good evening,

Watching Fred Claus on ABCFamily right now, they have Christmas movies on all night tonight. I am so glad they are still showing them, I would always be upset when they would just stop showing them. We went out and did some day after shopping, it is depressing to see Valentine's Day stuff where the Christmas stuff was. We did get some great deals, we bought 2 two foot tall trees for the boys rooms next year, 2 new stockings, and 2 nutcrackers. LC wants to collect nutcrackers now. His favorite gift from Santa Claus was the nutcracker he left him. It is so cute, he carries it around with him everywhere. Time for The Santa Clause 2 on ABCFamily, I hope everyone is still enjoying the Christmas Season.

ttyl

Merry Christmas.

I watched the last hour of Fred Claus and now I'm watching November Christmas on Hallmark.

Wow Brad, thats awsome! That engine looks sweet in the photos.... (Your brother did a real nice job; what a christmas gift, that's one nice brother you got there!) Sounds like you were a good boy this year in Santas eyes...lol

Funny thing here again... I used to own a 79 camaro! I bought for 100.00 dollars (It ran but had 4 flats for sitting so long) I had it towed to my grandfathers garage and started working on it for 2 years. I ended up putting about 10/ 11 grand into it and then had it painted a midnight metallic blue color! I sold it when I decided to get settled down, then I heard that some time later on, the girl I sold the car to, she totaled it, driving too fast in the snow....
I should have kept my old car, but we lived down a bumpy old dirt road for so long, most of the body & engine parts vibrated off through the years...LOL!

We're planning on silver with two black stripes down the middle, and a black interior.

I had a nice day with lots of relaxing, tons of snow, and I still treated today like Christmas. My dad's work got all of the drivers off of the road early and sent everyone home. The roads are horrible. The salt truck finally came into my neighborhood and I think they buried my car in with even more snow. I don't think I'll be going anywhere tomorrow. I'd say we probably have seven inches of snow now and they are calling for two or three more this evening.

Nine houses on my street were lit up on Christmas Eve and yesterday. Tonight? Not one but ours. I just don't understand how people can go from being in the Christmas spirit for months and then suddenly just shut it off, act like it never existed, and move on once midnight strikes on the 26th. Once your birthday is over you don't stop celebrating with people at midnight on the dot and I am pretty sure no one says to you "It's 12:00, your birthday is over! You're not important any more! Time to move on!"

I am going to go turn on a Christmas movie and have some snacks!
