If you all could, I am being a little selfish, please say a little prayer for me. I just applied for a new job for a company I have wanted to work for for a long time. The time has come to switch careers. I am hoping this is the right way to go.
Good night all!

nothing selfish about that, we all deserve to work at what we love doing and actually get paid for it!

Good Morning, Everyone.
My last "Good Morning" of the Christmas Countdown 2012 thread.
{{ sniff }}

But chin up. We must think of midnight and the launch of Christmas Countdown 2013!

What a great year it's been with yet another new posting record set, thanks to all of your help. It's truly a team effort here!

Enjoy the rest of the day, the month and the year, Friends.
And try to be here tonight for our final posts! (This thread will lock promptly at midnight, Eastern Time.)

Have a Marvelous Monday, Guys!
I will try to get on at work, it depends on how many customers we get. Not expecting a lot since most will be at parties, most likely will just end up with a few drunks...but they ususally over tip so that works for me! LOL

For the 1st time in years I actually stuck to my new years resolution. This time last year I resolved that my wife would not pump gas anymore. About twice a week I would ask her what her tank read and if it was anywhere near a quarter, I would take it out and fill it up. Up until two weeks ago she had only filled it twice during the year and I couldn't really control that since she was out of town. She did have to fill it up recently because I was working late & couldn't get to it and she jokingly harrassed me about it for days.

I haven't come up with a new resolution yet but I will continue last years. For all of you guys out there, your wives will greatly appreciate this gesture.
you are so sweet!

Will do, Xmas!

Good night all!

That was a great resolution. I haven't pumped my own gas in about 16 years! Like your wife, I was out of town when I did it a few times! That is one chore that I truly appreciate Hubby's doing!

Xmas, praying for you! I hope that you get the job!

Good morning, MMC! I can't believe it is already Dec 31st! What do you all have planned for this evening? Any resolutions made? Do you make it up to midnight or do you end up crashing before? Any good food or drinks?

We were supposed to have company over, but they had to change plans and cannot come. That means it'll be a quiet night in with my family. We are still going to try to make it fun. We have plenty of snacks - wings, cocktail hot dogs in a homemade sauce, popcorn, a variety of cheese and crackers, pizza bites, and breaded pickles. Plus we still have plenty of yummy Christmas cookies for dessert! Oh, you can't forget the champagne on NYE, either!

I am trying to figure out a resolution or two for this year. I always want to pick something that I actually have to try for but that is achievable. There is no point in making a resolution if I'm going to break it within a week. I think I am going to try to be more patient for one....but I don't know about that. It'll be a challenge!

It is a frosty morning here in northern California. We have no real plans for this evening, but we will have a great meal tomorrow. I will try to be here off and on throughout the day and evening. TTYL

Hi all... I know I have been MIA lately but just spending time enjoying Christmas and all the season offers. We we to a local play in Port Jefferson, NY it was wonderful they do a Christmas Carol like no other can. We also went to a light show it was so much fun. I like what Xmas said yesterday, I too am not ready to let go we are having so much fun. CAH I love your plans for New Years Eve... We have a block party - we can't wait so no one has to drive and no one is left out by us it is going to be good fun!!!

My resolutions this year is going to be to exercise more patience and to be a more courteous driver (if you ever drove with me you would know why I am going to try to do this LOL)

For me 2012 was wonderful and good to me; I will do all I can to make 2013 just as good and I will be wishing you all the best this coming year. I have a good feeling about 2013 as 13 is my lucky #!!!!

Speak with you all as soon as I can and HAPPY NEW YEAR MMC!!!!!!!!

good morning on this the last day of 2012!

I am making croquettes for tonight's snack. Leaving a bunch here for everyone to enjoy and taking some to work for me and my co worker to enjoy. She is bringing egg nog, so the 2 of us will have a bit of our own party.

Still trying to drown this cold, right now having some spicy chicken wings again hoping to kill off a few of these germs! LOL, something has to work!

Sounds like people are going to have fun tonight. Stop by in the jet and have a sub with me!

Hello, everyone! I'm here at work, and thought I would take a moment to get on the 2012 countdown one more time. It's been a tough year for my family, but we made it through. Many times when I didn't actually post, I was still here checking out all the news and getting in a better frame of mind. Of course, no year can be all bad, so we had some good times too. Here's hoping that 2013 lives up to my hopes of being a great year. I wasn't brought up with any superstitions about numbers, but 13 always seems to pop up in connection with fortunate occurences for me. I hope it's a good year for all of you too, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you on the 2013 countdown.

nice to see you could make it on this last day of the countdown thread for 2012!
Good luck with the resolutions!

I just opened up my 2013 Farmers' Almanac and the, "Thought of the Year" is:

"One can complain because rosebushes have thorns - or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses".

It might be an old saying but it's a great reminder on how to look at life and start off the New Year with this kind of thinking!

drive by.. I''ll stop by later tonight to sign off the thread... its been a great one...

YABBAAAAAAAAAAAA!
