Good morning everyone.

I am up early to get some work done. I was up most of the night as my mom was really sick. She had stomach pains and a burning sensation in her stomach all day/night long to the point where it made her sick. Not sure if it is related to her sickness or not, but we're hoping a fluke. Time will tell, but she still has the pains now. Not the best way to start off 2013 so please keep her in your prayers.

It's going to be a long day! I am exhausted so I think I am going to have to take a nap soon. Plus I have lots of work to do and a lot to prepare for starting back at school soon.

Drive safe to work and have a good day!

Awww...I am sorry to read this. Your mom sounds so sweet. Praying for her now.......xo

So glad you made !!! Been thinking of you a lot (((HUGS))) to you, Harlowe and Adrian xoxo

I woke up to all the Christmas lights on in the house. I just love when Wayne has the house lit up before I wake up! It's just so pretty and I'm not ready to take it down just yet.

My grandchildren will be here shortly so I am going to try to read a little more on here before I sign out for awhile.

Take care and think Merry Thoughts!!!

Good to see you xoxoxo

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm fighting a virus on my laptop today. Grrrr. A/V software failed me. Luckily, I don't keep much info on the laptop. I think I'll just format the harddrive and start over.

My brother and I worked on my old car till 9pm last night, getting ready to sandblast the front end. It's messy, but I love working on it.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

That is going to be a fantastic looking car !!! xo

I had my friend Gus's homemade sauerkraut ~ it was good and it didn't stink the house up, either. I simmered the frozen sauerkraut in a cup of water until heated through and added some hardwood smoked chicken sausage on top ~ yummo!

That sounds scrumptious !!!!!! xo I bet it was with you cooking it !!! xo

I am surprised they didn't say, make sure you leave some money to pay for your share. My place of employment taxes us on everything, I won a "guess how many M & M's are in the jar" contest. They reported it as a taxable item. At least the M&M's were tasty.

Good evening,

My interview went well, I am hoping to get the callback for another interview this evening. After the interview, I went to the mall and looked for Christmas Clearance stuff, I bought a DVD with both Prancer and Blizzard on it for only $2.49 at The Christmas Tree Shops, they had a lot of other items also, but nothing I wanted, at another store I bought 2 boxes of C7 lights for 50% off so I don't have to have such a hard time finding them next year. Back to work tomorrow for the first time in 2013, not looking forward to it, I was hoping to head back with a 2 week notice to give them.

ttyl

Have a great day back at work. Hope you hear good news on the interviews.

It's a quieter day at work today, which is much appreciated. It's just about lunch time, and that's good too. Tomorrow's Friday, which is even better.

We haven't taken any of our Christmas decor down yet. We leave the outside decorations up until Epiphany (Jan. 6), and then the tree usually stays up until Lent (Feb. 13 this year). So we still have a little while to look at and enjoy our Christmas things.

I never thought of leaving up the tree until Lent ....I may have to do that this year ! xo

In alot of ways, I completely agree with you. The whole house seems alive when all the decorations are up and the lights are on and give off the warm Christmas glow. It's full of life and when their unplugged and then packed away, I sit there and look at the space and it appears empty to me and in my heart...

I am taking a page out of A Christmas carol and Ebenezer Scrooge this year -

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.”

Yup, the tree may come down, the lights packed away but christmas itself, will always be in my heart....

Awwww...This is such a sweet post !! I think it could be a special post at Christmastime !! xo

Just waiting for dinner to bake in the oven. I have a pizza casserole and biscuits going.

It seems later than 5:30...maybe since I have been up since 12:30...

Oh well...looking forward to a nap soon!

I think this year is going to be the year where I enrich my life a little bit more with watching classic movies and reading classis novels. For example, (and I know you may find this hard to believe), but I watched Holiday Inn last night for the very first time. I really enjoyed it and I'm asking myself why haven't I done so before!

Now, I was watching WALL-E this past week (I'm a big kid) and there were some scenes where WALL-E was watching a musical and dancing to it. I would really to know what that movie/ musical was so that I can watch it.

I have never read "A Christmas Carol", Moby Dick, etc... It's my plans in this year to do so as well. Its a year for me to sort of reboot my way of entertaining my intrests and also education of the classics; and I'm open to any great suggestions~

Oh My !! You DEFINITELY should read A Christmas Carol - In my opinion Dickens was the MASTER at making you FEEL the surroundings, the era and all that was happening.

This is the SWEETEST photo !!! Awwwww xo

You have a treat coming when you READ "A Christmas Carol." I might even recommend that you get hold of the annotated version that explains Dickens' historical, religious, and literary references, and the little jokes he put in that often aren't understood today (e.g., "particular, to a shade ... for a shade"; "his countenance fell almost as low as the ghost's had done").

You'll enjoy classic movies and other classic novels, too! If reading gets too ponderous, try downloading classic novels and stories in audiobook form from LibriVox.org---they're read by volunteers and are free.

I also have The Annotated Christmas Carol and you are right - It is marvelous !!!! xo

Hello my name is Made and I'm addicted to buying Christmas ornaments!!!

When I took down my tree yesterday and put the ornaments away, I noticed that I have now filled up my second 20 some gallon tote of ornaments. In fact I had to put some of the ornaments in another box. So what did I do this morning? I went shopping with my sister and niece's and bought more of them. I think I have a problem.

I am the VERY SAME WAY !!!! I think we need to start a local branch of COLA - Christmas Ornament Lovers Anonymous !!cheesy

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is snowing out ~ I'm enjoying the view of the flakes coming down and deer scampering around/eating in the backyard. That is one of the things I love about when I work at home ~ I have a great view!

Yesterday I had another migraine (gone today!) and I had to work in the store. It can be a dusty place at times, but I got a lot done as my displays didn't need much straightening. When I got home, I took a three hour nap ~ I so needed it! Today I am working on paperwork. I am getting all of last month's info inputted and then I am setting up a new log for this year. It means more work as there will be three different logs I use, but I think I'll be able to keep track of things a lot better.

Well, I need to get back to work. I still have to get my computer back online and the one I am borrowing today needs to go back.

Take care, everyone, and have a most MERRY day!

Migraines are such nasty business...Glad you are feeling better xo
