That photo cracked me up, too. I'll bet CAH loved it! Yes, the infusion helped tremendously. Without it, I could not even have made it through the weekend. I just wish insurance covered it. Oh, well, it is worth it to me. So glad you have someone to help you unpack, especially family. I can hear the excitement in your voice. Don't forget to take more pictures! Give Harlowe a cat kiss from my baby!

Thank you, Seawaters!

Yes, I am so excited to be here! It's surreal, still pinching myself. ;)
I love that barn so much, it's very symbolic to me. My family is @ an hour & a half away, Adrian's too. My sister came up on Saturday to help me unpack, what a big help she was! We are getting close, I think the end is in sight.

Hope you had a great first day back!! Is the infusion helping? I kept thinking @ you throughout the day. Xo

Oh, I took the picture of Adrian/Elvis today. He found his sunglasses while unpacking & decided to have some fun w/ them! He crAcks me up.

That is so special that you and Adrian honored his teacher with a visit. Not many students do that nowadays!

Sorry Seawaters, I just read that you had a bit of a rough first day back. I'm glad the kids were good, though! Your students are So lucky to have you. I remember all of my teachers, and there are a few that hold an extra special place in my heart. Adrian feels the same way. On a long weekend trip to the Chicago area, we spent an afternoon visiting a teacher from H.S. who was a real inspiration & rock to him. Xo

I still have that on my rib. The good thing is that it has gone down in size. From what everyone has told me, it sounds like I popped something from coughing so much and that it takes six plus weeks for it to heal. It has been four weeks so I guess I have to keep playing the waiting game! I am in no pain, just occasional soreness when I move a certain way. I hate going to the doctor just to waste my money!

I can hardly wait to see you decorate, too. I'll bet you have already done so in your mind!

Hey CS!
Thank you, I love the new place!
There are some amazing windows w/ great views :) and I feel safe for the first time in a long time. We have more space here, which is great. Can't Wait to decorate for Christmas!

How are you? Xx

The only schools here that require uniforms are Catholic schools and other private schools. Some charter schools might require them. I like uniforms, but they aren't cheap here. How did your day go?

Lol, my eldest was the same, I thought she would cry and be upset at me leaving her but when the teachers opened the door to let them in she just said "bye mum, see you when you pick me up!!!" Id gotten all worked up for nothing lol!! x
I enjoy them being at home, love doing activities with them or just having trips to the park! x

Hey seawaters, No uniform is quite cheap really, can pick up some tops and trousers for just a couple of pounds each! I buy the sweatshirts from school as they have the school logo on and they cost about £9 (about $14 i think?). Hope your well xx

Aww bless you track xxxx

We have the countdown at the top of each page here at MMC. You are right, the milestones help. You will love it here, Slim. Take care and share when you can!

This is great! I will have to enter these dates into my count down app. I have a Christmas countdown app but get to bummed out looking at it this time of year. Milestones will be a big help. Thanks!

Whatever happened with that project you had to do as a group? Did your professor find out that you were the one who did all the work? Glad you found the error in your audit. That would have been a bummer to take an extra class. I had to take some summer classes my last year of school. I didn't mind it except it delayed (by three months) my going to Japan to be with my husband.

Good morning, everyone!

I discovered last night that my academic adviser accidentally misled me. When you view a degree audit through my college, each category will either show up with a plus sign or a minus sign. A plus means you finished that section and a minus means you need to complete more. Well, last semester before I dropped a class, it was showing up with a plus sign in a section when my adviser checked my degree audit. Then after I dropped it, the sign changed to a minus and neither of us knew. That meant that I had to take an extra class in order to graduate. Thankfully, I checked my audit last night on my own and noticed that something wasn't right. I now have to change my schedule but I think everything will work out. I am lucky I caught the error otherwise I would have to go an extra semester for simply one class!

My first day was good yesterday. I think I am actually going to like the class that I had in the morning. The professor is nice and the material seemed interesting enough.

I am going to have a busy day today. There are so many things I need to get done!

Have a good one everyone!

My artificial tree came in sections, too. I use a large travel bag, the kind that holds hangup clothes, that my mother gave to me. Perfect fit!

Second Tuesday of the year, and counting!

Had a lot of trouble getting my nice new artificial tree back into its storage bag this weekend, and was trying to think of a better way. Mr. came up with the idea of using a big, round trash barrel to store it, so we got one last night. I'll try repacking the tree this weekend. It's in two sections, so hopefully I can just set the bottom section down into the barrel, ease the top section in beside it, and cover the whole thing against dust. If this works, it'll make it much easier to set up and take down each year!

Good for you, keeping an eye on things! You saved yourself a lot of trouble.

Now, a kangaroo might not be too bad, LOL! I cannot watch the Animal Hoarders. That, plus the ads that show abused animals. I get too emotional and sick that someone mistreats them.

Oh yeah, Seawaters, a follow up to my love for animals. It just happened again right now while watching the news. I just saw on there that a kangaroo was loose on the streets and I did my usual baby talk and said, "Oh, I want one"! Wayne just laughed. I do this allllll the time with every animal!!! If I followed through with getting all the animals I desired I would end up on that Animal Hoarders show. I do have some self control though. =)

I forgot to add that I definitely agree with animals benefitting from interaction. Also, I noticed when we visitied my MIL at her "home," that many of the old people there would stop to pet my SIL's dog, a Papillon. I think that animals are really great for people and are known to be a great help in the healing process! Isn't that amazing?

Be sure to let us know as soon as possible. We are all waiting on pins and needles. When will they let you know about the job? It is always a tough decision, but sometimes, change is good just for change's sake!

Good morning,

Just trying to relax before heading out for the interview, I have one hour until I leave. Got to be early. cheesy After the interview, I may have to look for Christmas clearance.
Sitting here with the tree on, I know it's time to start taking it down but I don't really want too, not yet anyway.
I hope you all have a great day.

Time for work. I seem to put it off until the last minute anymore! It is time to retire! See you guys after school. All of you take care.

Happy Birthday Xmas!

As I type this, my supervisor is doing my co-worker's annual review. I'm up next. I always hate this part.

I'm sure he will tell you that you have done a Great Job!!!!! I mean come on, he doesn't want to make the Mayor mad.

I had a great Aunt and Uncle that use to just put a big trash bag over there tree at the end of the season and slide it into the closet with everything still on it. Then the next year they would just slide it back out, take the bag off, and plug it back in.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

As I type this, my supervisor is doing my co-worker's annual review. I'm up next. I always hate this part. You have to agree that it's been a good year, and we've all worked hard. But, recent changes in the market have placed new demands on our company, so we need to suck it up for one more year and go with an (almost) cost-of-living raise, although that won't defeat the income tax & healthcare cost increases. Big raise next year, for sure! :-o

Anyway, the council meeting went well last night, and I had some veggie pizza for supper. It's not exactly a double sausage & pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, but it wasn't terrible.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
whenever a raise is mentioned where I work everyone laughs!

So did you get the name of your town changed?
