Has anyone seen, Becoming Santa??? WOW! What a great documentary. Very touching, brought a few tears to my eyes (happy tears!) and also really getting to see how hard Santa works! Of course we all know that! cheesy

They follow this man around who transforms himself to becoming Santa. Others are interviewed as well and some history about Santa. I loved it! It's available on Netflix, if you have it. That is where I watched it.

I'll look for that, thanks!

It sounds similar to a movie that was discussed on one of the podcasts. There was an interview with the writer of a movie called "They Wore the Red Suit", or something like that. It's supposed to be a documentary about the people who become professional Santas. I've been looking forward to that one, too.

Made and I were just discussing that. I will have to watch that one next!

I will check out that book. Sounds interesting. When I tore more than one ligament in my foot, the pain was so horrendous. I ended up with surgery and was in a cast for about three months and then a boot for about three more. Not fun, but today I am pain-free in my foot. Then the following year, I did the same thing to my right foot.

Good evening,

Feeling sleepy tonight, I am missing Christmas. I changed my MP3 player back to the "off season" music today. I have listened to nothing but Christmas music for 2 months straight, so it was kind of strange hearing some rock & roll again. I also started reading my next book it is called "How Mrs Claus Saved Christmas" by Jeff Guinn, it is the sequel to The Autobiography of Santa Claus. It is good so far, I am only 10 or so pages in. I realized it was a year ago today I ruptured the ligament in my foot, it was only a few weeks ago that the lingering pain finally went away.

Have a great night everyone!

How has your week back at school been, Coach? My kids have been pretty good, and they don't even know I am retiring!!! I will let them know just as soon as I meet with CalSTRS and get the final date.

Hey all! Ballgames, ballgames, ballgames....almost 2000 posts and I feel like I haven't read 1/2 of them....which I probably haven't....but I will rectify that this weekend...

off to bed...early start....sleep tight!

Be sure to let us know how the half dose works, CM3. Thinking of you and Wish today!

Good evening, Christmas family

I had done a great long post and lost it.......:-(

As an update on Wish, He seems to be feeling good today and did yesterday too. I spoke with the vet about stopping the Benazepril and he told me some information about the drug I did not know. It is the drug that keeps Wish from having abnormal heart rhythms which could be deadly. For now, I am going to try just cutting the dose in half. I guess we will go from there.

I hope everyone has peaceful, restful Christmassy dreams.

(((HUGS))) to all ESPECIALLY:

I have one of those, believe it or not, but no screen. If I use it, I have to erase the board of all the info, which is a bummer!!!

what you need is an old fashioned overhead projector, that way the kids can still see and you do not have to raise your arm

Take care, Merry Mistletoe. Do you know what is causing the pain?

wow that's a long time to be in pain. it's wonderful to hear the pain has finally went away.

I was hoping to read an update on Wishbone. I have been thinking of him & you CM3.

hey y'all! I don't ever seem to find time to come here anymore. not sure what I'm dealing w/ but I am physically worn out, every part of my upper body hurts. I have got to get this under control.... I hope everyone is well & safe. happy Friday everyone!

I know; I miss Merry Mistletoe's "voice."

Seawaters, I am glad your medicine is working and keeping you out of pain!

Caninemom, I am glad Wish is feeling better. Praying he continues to feel better!

Merrymistletoe, I hope you feel better soon. We miss you on here!!!

As soon as I get home from school, I will get it since I have Netflix. I can watch it on my Nook Tablet!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked at my brother's shop on the Camaro till 9:30 last night. We dis-assembled the front end and had it sandblasted. Last night we coated the bare metal with primer. In a couple days we'll spray it all glossy black, then re-assemble the front end. Then we'll be ready to drop the motor in!

This is my weekend at Bernie's (not quite like the movie!)

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Make sure you make copies of the videos for your grandkids. That will be so special. I wish I could be there with you and your mom to watch the videos with y'all. That, too, would be so much fun. I'll bring the popcorn. Who wants me to pick them up in the Lear???

My mom and I have really been enjoying watching her home movies from the 40's-50's. There is at least 4 hours of it and we will probably watch some more today. It's fun to watch her get excited about her childhood friends. She "narrates" and tells me what is going on in each clip. She has seen all these before but it's been over 20 years since the last time she watched it. I love seeing her and my aunt playing together, swimming at the beach, dancing, roller skating, riding bikes, traveling and more!

Xmas365, I was trying to figure out how I could give her that on DVD as a gift. It won't be possible because we have already been discussing getting this done together soon. But you gave me a really great idea! I make videos all the time with my grandchildren set to music. I also do videos for our church for certain services. A lot of editing and music added. My mom has always enjoyed my videos I make. Since these films are silent, I was thinking when I can get this transferred digitally I will try to edit clips to music and give her that for Christmas. She will LOVE it!!! So thanks for the idea!

I forgot to tell y'all that I had to scrape my car yesterday morning before I went to work. It was really hard to open my door, too. Hubby said this morning that he will go out and take care of that for me. He is so sweet. Because of him, I can count on my fingers how many times I have had to pump my own gas in the last 16 years. I am so lucky!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another rainy day here in central Indy. Actually it's going to rain all weekend too. I may need a raft by Sunday. Today I plan to spend most of the day watching Nascar practice at Daytona. I also have some cleaning to do and I'm thinking about making some kind of muffins. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion, Brad. I will check for that one, too!

When do you think the car will be completed?

We're starting to get into expensive stuff, so I expect things to slow a bit. :-D Once it's safe to drive, it'll probably become a "work in progress".

Yea, but I count Christmas days, LOL!!! Now I will start counting retirement days, especially after Tuesday when I find out exactly! I never thought I would look forward to retirement. But I am not retiring FROM teaching; I am retiring TO do more crafting, help re-do the kitchen, and do more traveling!

Whaaat?!? Counting the days is what we do best around here. cheesy
