Has anyone seen, Becoming Santa??? WOW! What a great documentary. Very touching, brought a few tears to my eyes (happy tears!) and also really getting to see how hard Santa works! Of course we all know that! cheesy

They follow this man around who transforms himself to becoming Santa. Others are interviewed as well and some history about Santa. I loved it! It's available on Netflix, if you have it. That is where I watched it.

Mr. gave me the DVD for Christmas. We watched it on the big screen downstairs. I recommend it! Wish I could find out whether he went on being Santa in 2012.

As soon as I get home from school, I will get it since I have Netflix. I can watch it on my Nook Tablet!

It's also available on Amazon Instant Video, BTW---costs a few dollars to "rent" it. I actually saw it last summer on Amazon before I got the DVD for Christmas.

Make sure you make copies of the videos for your grandkids. That will be so special. I wish I could be there with you and your mom to watch the videos with y'all. That, too, would be so much fun. I'll bring the popcorn. Who wants me to pick them up in the Lear???

Vintage movies? I'm in!

Gotta leave for work in a few minutes. Today is Friday, so it is assessment day. The kids also have PE this afternoon. Sometimes I use it as a planning period, but I have lesson plans completed through March 15. I talked with the person who will be the long-term sub for my classroom and told her I would let her do the lesson plans for the remainder of the year. That way, she can use mine to get acclimated to the class and to the curriculum without worrying about plans and copies. Then she can ease in to the position.

Those kids are going to miss you so much.

Hope the rest of the workday goes quickly. Flat-out here yesterday and all morning (dawdling over my lunch now). We're meeting some friends for dinner tonight. I could use a nap instead, but ... well, we usually only get together once year around New Year's, and talk about how we should get together more often. I'm busy most of the day tomorrow, then we have a friend coming in on Sunday to spend the afternoon and evening. Wait ... where did the weekend go?! It isn't even here yet!

Coach- Junior just proved that the bumpers don't line up on the new cars like the old cars. I hope he has a lot of free drink certificates for Whiskey River with him.

Well my afternoon got ruined. I had to go get mom from work because she had a migraine. Then we spent an hour and half at the doctors office waiting for her to get a shot. We are finally back home though. Now what to cook for dinner?

I hope this finds your mom better!

I finally warmed up in front of the fire. I went to visit a friend of mine. She was told today that she is losing her job of 23 years. They are going to let her work another 60 days and will give her a $3000 severence check. Now she has to try to find another job. How sad is that?

I'm glad you warmed up! I will keep your friend in my prayers.
