Snowflake---the movie was "Keep Your Seats, Please" starring George Formby, who was extremely popular in England, but almost unknown in the U.S. Funny little film with some good songs.

Thanks, MerryCarey. I'm going to hop in bed & watch some tv there, under the covers! And w/ a flashlight nearby. The news is warning @ possible power outages w/ the high winds. Hope not, because it may be getting down to -8!

Hope you & Mr. have a great night! xo

:sparkle:

Thanks, we had fun!

Good evening,

Long, busy day at work and then on the way home my car died, I think the gas line ruptured because there was gas leaking quite heavily under the car after it died. The tow truck driver said I was lucky it didn't catch fire. I am now home safe watching my beloved Boston Bruins. Day off tomorrow, nothing planned.

Have a good night.
so glad to hear you are ok! Hopefully your car will not be to costly to repair.

Not when you are a Ranger fan :x

Ah well, it was good to see them back on the ice, congrats on the win.

I am just glad to see hockey back, the win was a plus, but seeing the game back was the best part

I had a much better night at work. Actually got out of there by 11:11!
One more night and then a day off.
We are headed down to the winterfest festivities tomorrow. Of course, we have no snow anymore and it is very windy and will continue to be so tomorrow. But hey, we will have fun anyway!!

Good night everyone!

Stoked about football games tomorrow! Ready for TexMex and cheese dip!!!

Good night, everyone! See yall in the morning!

We had three good snows here three seasons ago. Nothing but a few dustings since then. I am really starting to miss the white stuff and my girls are just outright sad about it.

I would love to see a Winter like the ones we had as a child....I remember LOTS and LOTS of snow !!!

I forgot to tell y'all that I woke up during the night with cramps in both legs. I went to the fridge and finally found some pickles and drank some of the juice. The cramps left immediately!!! I sure was glad!

Really...?? Glad the cramps left - nothing worse than waking up in pain..xo

Good afternoon, MMC!

I cannot wait until 3 PM - hockey is back! I am very excited to watch my Penguins. That being said, today calls for an easy but delicious dinner. We threw one of our favorites in the crockpot and the smell is making me hungry already!

We were supposed to get some snow tonight but they cancelled what they were calling for. Now the next couple of days are just supposed to be bitter cold - yuck.

I am going to finish some cleaning in the house and I will check back with you all later!

Nice to see you, Jennifer !!! I hope all is well xo

I am glad to know this! I wish I would have known about this a month ago when I had a cramp so bad that I was in tears and screaming. It was the worst one I ever experienced. I would have had to send Wayne to get the juice because I couldn't move at all. I did send him after Advil even though I knew that would not help immediately but wanted to make sure it didn't come back again that night.

Reminder: Keep pickle juice handy! (Maybe on the nightstand! Ha ha!)

I will have to remember this !! I wake up once in a while with pain in my calves !

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I have been cooking away all day. My sister and her family are coming for dinner. I took a day off of tracking my food and exercise and may have eaten a few too many chocolates... shh! Dont' tell! :)

I scored some Christmas goodies at CVS today for 75% off... some wrapping paper, some lights, and some Santa hats!!

Awww...That's okay !! We can't be perfect..!!! Hope you and your sister had a wonderful time ! xo

Good afternoon, everyone. Just wanted to stop in quick, so you know that all is well, well sort of...ha.

I have caught the nasty bug that most of America seems to have. This cold is really running me down. I have no energy what-so-ever. I am thankful that it is my weekend off and DH is here to me take care of the kids. I just feel like I've been hit by a bus.

I know I've missed a lot on here. If I've missed anything super important, someone please PM or message me on Facebook. It would be greatly appreciated. I will try to stop back later, but I can't promise anything! Who knows how I will feel then!

Miss all of you. God Bless and thinking and praying for each an everyone of you!

You know something, your right! During the transfer process last night, I discovered that with the oldest vcr tapes that I was transferring the old home movies from, they were really starting to degrade. With the colors turning a reddish hue and also grainey, then I got to thinking about things a bit, back then, when my son was born, 1992, my father-in-law had a old style vhs camera (the one whith the tape inside it). I would surmize then, (since he's an "el cheapo", a nice guy, but cheap) he most likely used vhs tapes that he had recorded on, over and over again that he most likely bought in the 80's....

I'm glad I decided to do this now, and discovered this, before we lost any movies of my son as a baby. This is a point made, where all things are meant to be for some reason or another, don't you agree....

Oh, by the way, the first vhs tape transfer - a six hour process! I got done at 3 am last night; another lesson learned to start earlier in the day... lol

So glad you are able to transfer such precious memories. I have old reel to reel tapes I wish I could transfer to some other form. The tapes are of me as a child at Christmas with my parents and siblings....

Are you having a good Saturday? We're heading out for a walk soon, and are thinking of having a British film show downstairs tonight. We have some DVDs of British films that we haven't seen yet. I could brew up some tea and have a jolly old time!

Ouch! I empathize. I've had a few so bad that I couldn't straighten my leg enough to walk. I've jumped out of bed yelling a few times with those things. The pickle juice is a good tip. Neither of us eats pickles, but it might be worth buying a jar just to keep the juice handy! Happily, I haven't been bothered with them recently.

I dread those things !! I haven't had any for a time either ! xo

good afternoon!

I am having a quiet day, baked a batch of buns made a pan of stamppot boerenkool.

I have to leave for work at 4:30 but will need some chocolate before then!

I hope you had a good day at work ! What is borenkool ?? We ALL need chocolate sometimes and before work seems the perfect time !! xo

Snow squall watch for
Stratford issued

Strong potential for local snow squalls tonight and Sunday.

Cold strong westerly winds gusting to 80 or 90 km/h moving over the Great Lakes tonight will very likely generate local snow squalls with visibilities reduced to less than 250 metres in snow and blowing snow.

This is the 3rd one we have had this year and still have little to no snow to show for it. So we will just have to wait and see what this one produces!
:playing:

I HATE wind....I hope yours didn't get too bad ! xo
