For some reason I just got a headache that feels also like a "crick" in my neck. I am going to go rest. Don't even want to eat right now, and I have homemade chili beans in the crockpot! Maybe later. Good night, y'all. There are some posts I will comment on tomorrow.

Ouch!

Hope the pain subsides, and you feel better soon. ((Hugs))

Can you imagine back when, what people used to do when there was no indoor plumbing; IE ... having to use the outhouse!!!! Not that's a cold seat!!!!

19 years ago today, I was out camping in weather like this. It was a friday night and our scouting district had there annual winter camporee going on. Our troop was one of 5 crazy enough to show up. A few days earlier Indiana had hit an all time record low of -21. We were at a scout camp but we were still in tents and used outhouses.

My grandmother had one up to the time I was in 10th grade. We moved in with her to take care of her after Papa died and we put in a real bathroom. I hated that outhouse. I was so afraid of spiders!
outhouses, brings back memories of growing up. My brother said that when we have kids we like to make life better for them, so all we had to do was get a house with a bathroom in it!
I was 10 when we got our first indoor bathroom and I loved the shower the most!!!

Stay warm!!!

You just made me curious, so I looked up our current temp.. It's -6, and only 7:27 pm.

That's what we are going to hit tomorrow morning. You could be really nice and keep it up there instead.

I'll try my best!!

Why is it that meteorologists are not always right when the weather is promised to be nice, but at times like this, they're spot on?!

For all of us that are log cabin lovers, there's s show on Destination America right now, called Epic Log Homes. Really interesting!!

I just looked and I don't get it. Maybe I will Friday when I get my phone installed and I bump up to the preferred channel package.

That's hard core!!

It really wasn't to bad. Our troop had some of the old heavy canvas army tents so we took them instead of our normal nylon tents. Then our scout master stopped and picked up lots of hay to put under them to provide some insulation. Plus we had a really big fire going in the middle of the campsite that warmed the whole area up.

I think you'd really like it, it has some neat shows!

Especially at Christmas time too ;-)

Our new cable company here has ok channels and all, but the guide they gave us covers all of the locations they serve… Which means all of the channels listed, we don't necessarily get and vice versa. Kind of lame!

I hate that. I've complained to comcast before because their on screen guide shows all of the channels. If my box is smart enough to know what channels I get then why can't it just show me those channels when I scroll through the guide.

You're so modest!

Your scout master sounds like he was prepared well, which is good!

Still more than I could handle =]

That's a fair agreement!!

I like it, xmastidings!

I must say that Adrian has become a great cook, especially food on the grill!

I got booted off that as well! :-( Although, it's still my job to replace the tank when it's empty.... But, I must admit, she's even a better cook than I am, even on the grill!

I guess there's just some people, that are just not made to have a spatula in their hands...lol
