Why stop there; we can start a new chain with various flavors:

Fried chicken flavored
Barbecue spare Ribs
Meatloaf and Gravy
Grilled Steak
Stir Fry

we went to the Ben and Gerry's factory in Vermont and they had icecream flavoured chapsicks.

you broke a rubiks cube!!!!????

so that was a good move in the game?

The Cowboys lost to that play by the 49'ers! It was traumatic!

It was a very tense moment, I happen to be holding a Rubik's Cube, on the edge of my seat hoping they would NOT catch the ball. Touchdown 49'ers.... Ahhhhhhhh! There went the Rubik's Cube flying out of my hand and broke into a bunch of pieces. Might as well broke that Rubik's Cube, I never could figure them out anyway!

Coach, do you remember that play???

Bacon roses!!!! cheesy

I need to get to crocheting then!!! =)

Yes, you do! Pick up that hook and yarn!

I hope you get to feeling better, Xmas365. If it's your sinuses don't forget to take Sudafed (or generic of) to relieve the pressure!!!

Why is my 4 y/o so stubborn? He had to get a check up and a cleaning on his teeth, I think they were able to clean a tooth. Then he was a nightmare at Rite Aid while picking up JP's prescriptions. (All their Christmas stuff was gone.) At least we have online Christmas shops.

LOL!!!! I don't know but if you figure it out let me know. My youngest niece is the same way.

I hope you get feeling better soon!!!!

I'm thinking it's time to squueze in a quick nap before I have to finish dinner.

So we were both traumatized by Joe Montana and the 49ers.

I remember that play and I was 7 y/o, I remember crying because it meant the 49ers had to play the Bengals in Super Bowl 16, I thought the Bengals could beat the Cowboys but not the 49ers, becuase the 49ers had beaten the Bengals during the regular season. cheesy

I am reading how some of you are picking up Christmas lights on clearance. I tried to find some over a week ago at several different places and completely sold out! All I buy right now are just strings of white lights for my year round tree. (Not a Christmas one). I was a little late looking for them.

oh dear I forgot...

OK everyone, only talk about vegetables and lean meat from now on! We must look after each other.
Yum, yum!

Just thinking about steamed brussel sprouts makes my stomach growl

...

in anger.

I was sort of just perusing around MMC and I noticed that the Member of the month has not been updated. So, who were the November, December and January(13) member of the month winners?

I made this big ole ham for dinner but it didn't sound good to me anymore after reading about Star's turkey. So I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich instead.

LOL great strides on your list, CAH!!!

Let's see...

Had coffee - check

Watched TV - check

Got on MMC - check

Took a nap - check

Watched TV - check

I did very well, thanks for asking!!!

Seriously? Yes, I got our front room organized. We don't have a garage so that is our "storage room". We keep a lot of our outdoor Christmas decorations and the grandchildren's toys in there. Things were shuffled around and I got it squared away! I also got a cabinet cleaned up and organized and a few other things.

Me, me, and me!!!! LOL!!!!

(I really don't know.)

That IS complicated!!! I would definitely need a picture and then still might not "get" it!!! That is a good idea to work a smaller chain and see how it works! I felt like I was doing "Twister" while I was reading this!!! Either that or singing "The rib bone's connected to the ...."

When you're retired, I should send you the pattern and let you figure it out for me, and tell me what I'm doing wrong!

It involves a super-long chain, then begins with a cluster, goes into a tight ripple pattern, then in the center of the chain is a cluster, then more tight ripples. Then you "weave" the ripples around each other with the center cluster at the top (you need a photo to really "get" this), then pick up the yarn again and join to the beginning cluster. It makes a kind of flat helix shape with a cluster at either end that you then crochet around to form a panel. Then three of these panels are sewn together and edged with a border. The devil of it is that when I work it, the ripple pattern doesn't hit the center of the chain and the end of the chain where it should. I must be making some really dumb dope-slap wrong-assumption mistake, because mathematically it should work. Another frustration is that it takes hours to crochet all those chains and ripples to find out that it isn't working! I may try figuring out the chain for a shorter "helix" mathematically and work that to see if I can spot where I go wrong. Or just give up for another year or two ...

That's when I want to change up a pattern! Truly, the only math you have to do is count--and a onea and a twoa....

I felt good too after taking most of my decorations down. I still have one string of lights up with my mistletoe in the doorway leading to my den and my Christmas wreath on the door but that's it. That mistletoe will be my Valentine decoration!!! :D

Well, that means leave me out of crocheting if it involves math! I didn't do so well in math at school!
