Well, now. Can we really have cycled back around to the mid-week mark again already?
(The calendar don't lie!)

And it also says this, in no uncertain terms:
Days to the Season: 287
Days to Christmas Day: 329
Under 2 weeks away now from our second Milestone of 2013, the 25 percent Season point.
Chugging right along, we are!

Ah. Nice indeed here yesterday!
We entered the 70's with calm winds and plenty of sun.
A repeat is expected today, albeit without the sun. In fact, a good chance of storms is in the forecast.
Currently, we show 64 degrees here in the great capital city of NC.

Alright, People.
You have a Wonderful Wednesday at the Shispering Pines.
Seems incredible that we are already at the last 'Pines open house of January, doesn't it? The year is really racing by.
Of course, that just means that the Christmas Season is approaching that much sooner!
(Or is it too early to think about such things, even in the abstract?)

how's it going? it's a balmy 64f here as i wake up this morning.
all this talk of bacon has me craving breakfast. yum, i love bacon. like the pooch on the "beggin strips" commercial says.

time is marching on & all is well here @ home. my daughter has started the new semester great. even though she's missed alot of days for illness she has caught up & is loving English & HISTORY for the 1st time.

as my hubby says, "work is work" & all is fine w/ that.

my son is doing good this semester. this should be his last semester @ the local USC campus then off to the big 1 in Columbia ( University of S.C.) i just hope I'll be able to handle it as he moves down there,

my oldest is well also. he's the last of us (w/ the exception of hubby who never gets sick) to get sick. his is more throat, cough, & cold. his b-day is tomorrow so i sure hope he feels better then.

gosh, i've missed you guys alot. i know i'm not here much but things have gotten a bit busy here.

seawaters, i think of & pray for you daily.

Happy 82nd Birthday to your dad, MGRamsey. I hope your mom is doing well. Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.

Our winter weather has been a big disappointment too. Normally we get some cold temps but not many this year. I wonder if your "dusting" of snow will end up being more!

Good Wednesday morning everyone. More crazy weather today. After a couple of days with highs in upper 50's,we now have severe thunderstorm, high wind and tornado warnings today. The rain is forecast to end tonight as a dusting of snow.

This winter has been a big disappointment. Accuweather and the almanac predicted a colder than normal winter with above average snowfall for us in the mountains of NC. Boy were they wrong.

My dad turns 82 today. Can't believe how time flies.

And with this post, Christmasstar is poster #5000. WOW!!! For her efforts, she wins 17 packets of mayonnaise and 11 packets of mustard! Yeah, for Star!!!

How wonderful, Coach! I am so excited for you! How can you stand such happiness? Praying that all goes well and that wifey and baby stay safe and healthy. Best of luck to you and yours.

Please, please, please...don't put this on my facebook page....because we are waiting to tell our family because of the difficulties we have experienced....

You are so right, CAH. Just think how great this will be next Christmas! I am so happy for them that I just cannot stop smiling, and that's the truth! Baby Before Christmas. Sounds like a good movie title!

Carl has stated Coach will have the benefit of free fired twinkies at the 'Pines for the next month and an entire case is in the mail to his home!
