Whoever chose the music when you are put on hold with CalSTRS should be shot!!! It is a combination of six notes that repeat ad infinitum. The wait is supposed to be over 10 minutes, but it is really over an hour and still waiting!!! I realize that an hour is over 10 minutes but this is ridiculous.

Hello everyone!
I have not been on here since Saturday morning. A lot going on, good stuff! Wayne went ahead and got his bike Saturday so we went riding for quite awhile. It was so much fun that at one time we were going to come back home but I told him I don't want to so we passed the house up and just kept riding! We then went out to lunch, came home and rode our bikes again!
Saturday night was Greasy Skillet. Church, work and Super Bowl on Sunday. Go Ravens! Now that the Super Bowl is over I am back to the Cowboys and wearing my Cowboys t-shirt today. I just wanted to support Wayne and his team. What an emotionally draining game, phew, that was a close one!!! I sure enjoyed the glow on Wayne's face last night when they won!!!
My granddaughter and I took our bikes out today and rode around a bit. Then some neighbors a few houses down had thrown out a porch swing (the kind on a stand). The only thing wrong with it was a broken board on it. My son and I carried it home and he helped me fix it by replacing the piece of wood and painted it. It was nice hanging out with my son and working on it together. It is sturdy and looks great now! Now my son and I can get into repairing furniture together! =)
You can tell the weather has been really nice around here with everything going on! I will try to stop by more often, just a lot going on right now.

Over two hours later!!!!!!! Then the woman could not help me!!!!!! I am so emotionally upset. I am in a Catch-22. I can't get SS until I get a letter from CalSTRS. I can't get CalSTRS for 30 days. I can't get Medicare or insurance with my company until I get everything else. I am honestly ready to scream and cry. I will be without income and insurance for 30 to 45 days. Welcome to the world of old!!!
I also went online to see if I could get the answers I needed, and of course that question was not listed under FAQs. So I typed out my questions and received an email answer that it would take 20 days for me to receive the email answer to my question!!! I then sent another email and told them I would pay for a new music service for them and received another email that they will answer me in 20 days!!! What service!!!
I have to tell you that my questions were ones that SHOULD be online: How long does it take to process the retirement claim and can I get an award letter that I could send to Social Security to let them know how much that will be? They already know exactly how much money I have, even I have those figures!!! But they cannot even generate a letter???
That is terrible!! Sorry this is such a process, it's amazing what we have to go through for coverage. (((HUGS)))!!!! xxxx
