Well mom finally heard from the Neurologist. The MRI confirms that she had a mild stroke. The good news is that she is starting to regain some of the feeling in her 2 little fingers today.

At least now you guys know what happened medically, and now she can continue to move forward. Have her doctors said if they feel that any therapy is necessary? So glad she is recovering well & starting to regain feeling in her fingers. Is her walking still improving? You both will remain in our thoughts & prayers!! ((Hugs))

If I didn't have to take my mom to work in the morning I'd be there in a heartbeat!!

Well why don't you both come..!

Seawaters, can we use the Lear to take made's Mom to work tomorrow morning? ;)

Since she writes and types all day at work he said that is the best therapy for her hand and arm.

She doens't want to do therapy on her leg again. She said that she had to do it twice after the surgeries on it so she knows what to do. It's not as bad as it was after her surgeries so I go for that for now. If she doesn't keep getting better though I will start yelling at her to go.

Same here! It seems they both calmed down when I watched it last night and they focused more on the talent instead of the judges. It was nice!

Thanks! He is very cool, a very nice man and so FUNNY!

He HAS to be a nice man....Just look at his daughter ((((HUGS)))) xo

Oh Made...I am so sorry but I am GLAD it was not too bad...Thank God she is starting to recover. What do they say the treatment is ?? Does she have to be on medicine to prevent possible further strokes ?? xo

Yeah, she got lucky.

The treatment is to make her actually take her medicine and not forget it. She was terrible about going to bed and forgetting to take it. So I had already went out and got her a pill box right after Christmas and was making her use it. That way I could also tell if she had forgot and make her. Plus she was supposed to be taking an aspirin everyday but stopped because it was taking forever for her to stop bleeding after she checked her sugar. So I started filling her pill box this week and made sure they were in there.

We are coming to Ottawa in June, I will be sure to visit it!

Great idea. It's right in the heart of Hintonburg/Westboro. The area of town has really been picking up steam in the past few years.

That is very wise, Made. A pill box is so handy when there is a daily dose of medications involved. I use one for Wishbone's meds. Hope everything goes well and she takes her medicine more regularly. xo

Good morning, everyone. How are you all? I am doing okay. Just sitting here with the kids, letting DH sleep in. He's been working a lot, so I figured he deserves it.

Yesterday was my day off, so I start back tonight, for my first of 4 days. I'm not sure what's been going on with me lately, I sort feel like I am a slump. I thought this I wasn't going to get the "Winter Blues" and I'm not even sure if that's what it is, since winter will soon be over.

A lot is going on with a lot of my friends/co-workers right now. I know I told you about the one with cancer, but two of my friends, both are pregnant and one just found out she has a mass on her adrenal gland. She has to have emergency surgery. It can be very serious. If it would be cancer, I don't know if they will do chemo or radiation or not. My other friend, she just found her baby has a hole in it's heart, the worst kind of all and they also think the baby has Down Syndrome. They aren't concerned about the Down's, which they are very loving parents, but very concerned about the hole.

There is also another issue going on at work with one of my friends, which I really don't want to talk about on here, but it I think that is the thing, that is bugging me the most. All of the things, wrapped in one, just have me worried and have me praying for everyone that I just sort of feel "blah." I haven't been doing a whole lot extra, except for stuff with DH and the kids.

Tell me...does this sound stupid or normal. I know God only gives us things with can handle. I just sometimes don't understand why things happen the way they do, but as I said, I know he gives us what we can handle.

Sorry for the somber post, but I needed some advice. Make it a great day! Thinking of all of you and praying for all of you who needs it! God Bless and talk soon! Keep smiling!

You are in my thoughts.

Hey, Made.....what did you think about the twin 125's?

zzzzzzzz........

The truck series practice had more racing than both races combined.

Hopefully Sunday is better.

Glad it worked for you, Whitney. I swear by it. In fact, when we went shopping on Wednesday, I picked up two more jars of pickles. Do NOT want to run out!!!

Thanks to the MMC friends who discussed pickle juice as a cure for muscle cramps a couple of weeks ago. I had to try it out around 10:30 last night & it worked! I mentioned it to a co-worker & she had leg cramps last night, so she'll be taking your advice next time too!

I've raced through the first couple of months this year with few issues. I seem to be getting the blues just as spring should be around the corner. I listened to Christmas music on the way to work today; I think that's my first time this year. It seems that I am the hamster on the wheel when it comes to getting anything done at home. I'm holding steady but can't see any progress & it's frustrating. Oh well, that stuff will always be there, so I intend to enjoy life & work on things as I can.

Think happy Christmas thoughts! We're just a few months away...
