yikes what a drive home that was! Kind of like being in a snow globe that someone kept shaking.
Then I get home, open up my laptop and get hit in the face by 5 snowballs!!! :cold:laying:

So, I am heading upstairs...would have a shower first but all the caulking around the tub was replaced today and we are not allowed to use it for 24 hours. :x

Oh well, laundry room sink???nah, I will wait.

I was shocked to see how high the count got while I was at work, WOW!!

Hello everyone! Today is my mothers 71st birthday. We were able to spend most of the day together and had a really nice time. I'm so tired now and am happy to be settling down in my bed. I have both of my yorkies snuggled up to me and one of the cats just joined us. So cute. Anyway, I have been busy the past two days getting ready for moms birthday, I'm kind of looking forward to getting back to my regular routine tommorow. I hope everyone had a great day!

how's it? we have had such nice weather the last few days. temps in the 60's w/ lots of sunshine. hubby & I were going to go away this weekend, but we decided to stay home since we have so many little projects going on here @ home. he is on vaca thurs. & fri., I'm on vaca friday.

my daughter keeps putting off going to look for a prom dress. I guess i'm gonna have to drag her to the stores.

what's new w/ everyone? does anyone have plans for the weekend ahead?

The day after tomorrow, Folks.....
we will be gazing face to face with Milestone Marker number four, the 1/3 Season point.
Then, the start of the 2nd of 3 thirds, with rather close proximity to dropping down into the 100's for our Season count.
DOUBLE WOW!!

After an overnight and morning rain yesterday, we settled down into another calm, sunny and warm afternoon. Delightful for this time of the year!
Cooler weather is predicted for today, however.
We stand at 40 degrees here at this hour.

OK'zers, Everyone!
Carl is ready.

The fired twinkies are warm.
The tea is cool.
And the question you have to ask yourself is.....do I feel lucky?

I went to the library last night to get some books for my Saint Nicholas capstone project. One of the books I checked out is "Christmas: A Candid History" by Bruce David Forbes. I'm looking forward to reading it. Any of you ever read it?

We had more bad news this morning. We had a 17 yr old commit suicide Monday then last night a 15 yr old girl in our high school attempted suicide. She is in ICU in Asheville. Just like the first kid, she was struggling with a broken home. Her dad had an affair and moved in with his girlfriend abandoning his kids. Some folks should not have children. There are obviously a lot hurting kids out there. We live in a very small community, only 5,000 people in our whole county, so it hits everyone hard. Sorry to be a downer but the family covets your prayers.

It was a coolish 41F this morning on my way in,and tonight we are getting down to 33F so tomorrow could be our last frost of the season,I thought it was about 10 days ago,I hope I was wrong. So sorry to hear this and I agree some should not have kids,and some parents need to keep it in their..I am sorry I almost let it slip out..lets just say they need to resist temptation..It may not seem like you are doing anything wrong but usually someone gets caught and it destroys relationships and marriages! I will keep your community in my prayers!

My youngest had her junior prom last week and now my middle daughter will be going to the senior prom. Thankfully she found a dress already but she can't find shoes that she likes. And we need them to have the dress altered. So I need to drag my daughter to the stores soon too. Have fun shopping!
