I have two daughters home but one is still out. I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to nap for a little bit while I wait for her to get in. I hope everyone has a very good night!

I had forgotten about that! And our phone number was Talmadge 4 (or TA4----- (I can't remember the last four digits!).

Ha! My grandmother used to argue with my aunt who lived down the road about whose turn it was to use the phone! It had one long ring for my grandparents and two short rings for my aunt.

LOL, HomemakinGirl! Kids--what can you do? I remember wanting to spend the weekend with my friend--I had been sick for two weeks and we had planned the sleepover before I got sick. I had been out of school, and that Friday, I had begged to go to school because I knew that if I did not go to school, I could not go to Suzanne's. I got up, got dressed in a new outfit, and fainted before I got to the breakfast table. I really wanted to go over to Suzanne's so badly that I was willing to go to school sick. Needless to say, I didn't go to the sleepover!

Thank you.
I think she just realized its a Friday night because she is suddenly feeling "much better" and asked if it would be ok if she went out with her friends. She stayed home from school and went to the doctor today and she's coughing like crazy. Umm, NO it wouldn't be ok. Nice try though.

Oh I sure remember those days of dozing while waiting for teens!
Hope you can tuck in soon with all your kids safely tucked away too!

I cannot believe how tired I am. As we were sitting in Red Lobster, I almost fell asleep at the table. I did fall asleep on the way home, so I am going to put on my Christmas jammies and go to sleep!

Just a quick comment: Look how close we are to 12,000 posts! Time is really flying by! I hope to have a great prize for the special poster, LOL!

Ours was 3 short rings, neighbors was 2. Used to listen to in what others were talking about, but always made sure mom or dad never caught us!

Well, 2 more shifts at Subway and I am done there.
I have lots to study with my two new jobs so will be keeping busy there. Also have orders for several cakes in the next few weeks.

I went for the bone scan today. I had to go in at 10:30 to get the glow-in-the-dark shot. Then we left and did a little shopping and returned at 1:30 to do the scan. The technician asked me when my appointment with my breast doctor was, and I told him that after the doctor received their report, we would set up an appointment for him to tell me the results. He said he would have the results ready in five to ten minutes!!! So, I quickly called Dr. Grady and his nurse said they would fit me in TODAY and I would not have to make a return trip!!! The trip is 140 miles round trip. They were going to fax the results to him, but then they put them into an unsealed envelope for me to hand-carry. Of course I sneaked a peek and saw these words: "There is increased uptake about the shoulders, the cervical spine, hips, knees, and feet, but there are no definite focal abnormalities in the skeleton otherwise which would be suggestive of skeletal metastases. There is unusual soft tissue accumulation of tracer laterally below the right breast and medial to the lesser trochanters which is of doubtful clinical significance. The right kidney appears smaller than does the left." When I spoke with the doctor, he told me that the cancer pill I am taking could cause some pain; so I will check with my oncologist next week on that. PTL!!! Now, I am going to try to upload the pics we took yesterday! I cannot thank all of you enough for the prayers and positive thoughts. And, yes, Snowflake, I did feel uplifted by all of y'all's hands!!!

I'm so happy for you.....this is just awesome. Although I don't understand a word of it, I know what PTL means...and that's a good thing. I'm pulling for you...as we all are.

You mentioned the pictures showing imperfections....that's years of carrying the burdens of the young ones you so dearly cared for...wear those imperfections with pride....
