Meceka, Guess what?! Another stray kitty that came up missing nearly a year ago is back! She returned last week. This is the 3rd kitty to return. The other 2 were missing for about 6 months. She meowed real loud at the door and when we came out she was all over us. She looks very healthy and remembers us! Amazing!!!

There is still hope for the kitty that came up missing at your house.

Hey CAH !! You know, Wish is doing so good ! We had a couple of days where he sort of scared me but he went back to normal.....did I tell you the last set of bloodwork he had was ALL NORMAL !! Except for the BUN which was markedly elevated. I guess the creatinine value is more important than the BUN....and the creatinine was normal..xo

I have been on the run all day. Just having a quick cup of coffee, I wanted to stop in and say hello. My girls are home from school this week for spring break. Unfortunately my husband has to work all week so it will just be me and the girls. I'm sure we will keep busy, there is always something to do. The girls wish it were warmer outside, it is cold and breezy with a rain/snow mix coming down right now. Its usually warm enough during our spring break to take a drive to the beach and walk around. Not this year! Well I hope everyone is having a great day so far!

Ripples can be great for scrap/stash afghans. I once made a baby afghan using leftovers---when I ran out of a color, I'd finish the row in white, do the next full row in white, then join another color to start the next row. When I was finished, someone asked me for the pattern!

Here's a scrap one I made that way. It wasn't very handsome, but it had a certain crazy quilt effect:

Even if we were having snow, CM3, I would not be tired of it! Take care as you prepare for your final exam. I don't understand how there could be a final exam in writing. It seems to me, you should be judged on how much you have improved and how well you tackle the writing topic!

Good morning dear Christmas Family and Happy Rudolph Day March 2013 !!!

The count is zipping right along, isn't it !!! That is so great. I am just sitting here waiting for more work this morning, which is pretty typical for Monday. I do not have too much more to do today as I started at 5:30 a.m. today and I got lucky - Got a doc who uses a template partially filled in and all I had to do was modify it a little for each patient. Starting to get a wee bit nervous about final exam for my writing class. I know if I just slow down and take my time all will be well.

Molly is doing well, thank you so much for asking. We were able to get a walk in before this rain/snow started. Hope all is well with you! Oh and I loved the picture you posted of the kitties with the Santa hats on. It made me smile. I really have little hats like that for my babies, too cute!

This is what happens when it snows... I can't stop cooking! I've made waffles, chili, mac and cheese, homemade "peanutella," and am about to start some cookies and either pumpkin bread or hot cross buns... the kids LOVE days like today!

Yes, Red Heart, that's the name!

The old standby is Red Heart (for me, in the Super Saver size). It can be a little stiff to work with sometimes, but it's machine washable and dryable. You don't have to be particularly gentle with a Red Heart afghan. I also like the Caron One Pounders now and then.

I awoke at 5:30 and looked out the window and it was snowing then with about an inch on the ground and it has not stopped as of yet. It looks like about 3-4 inches out there right now (I'm at work) but it's that heavy wet snow where it is sticking to everything and the roads are either just wet or slushy. Somebody just told me that it's supposed to freeze tonight, but the weather forecasters are always wrong around here so, I'll believe it when I see it!

I hoping that it keeps on snowing all day and night, it will be our first of the year and most likely our last...

Here it's Easter break and we are in the hospital.
My 9 year old got a kidney rupture yesterday (after a fall)
So he have to lay in bed here for days for the kidney to heal.
Hope the ultrasound in a couple of days is fine!
(so we can go home...)

I felt very popular logging in here and got 9 new messages... LOL

- And my stepson got 'his family' for next school year in USA
He is going to North Carolina! We are so exited!!!

You are only allowed to disappear if you are coming to do these dishes that you have been ignoring!!!!! I've been forced to flip my plates over and use the bottoms since you haven't been here to wash the tops. Not to mention the fact that I've been eating with my hands since all of the silverware is dirty too.

these are the first 20 of 60 codes I have to learn, thought maybe if I started typing them out I would remember them better. This is for my new job at No Frills. I know I will get them all eventually, just have a bit of a struggle with them.

I can't figure out why they insist that you memorize them ... at the supermarkets we go to, the cashier refers to a list for the produce codes.
