We used to do a mobile groomer in Vegas, so she was right outside our front door. But, I haven't found one here, yet, so I have to drop her off as well. I ask the groomer to phone me as soon as she's done so I can go rescue her

All this talk about smartphones ... strange, I was giving that some thought earlier in the week. We both have basic cellphones (so old they don't even have cameras!), and I was wondering whether to get myself a smartphone when it's time for an upgrade. I had just convinced myself "no," partly because I'm not a "gotta be connected 24/7" type, and a data plan would double our monthly bill (not including the cost of the phone). Time will tell if it will reach the point where one needs a smartphone to function effectively in the everyday world ... years ago I thought I'd never need or want a PC or Internet access or a laptop or a cellphone or an e-reader or a tablet.
That's funny! I didn't catch that. If Christmas blossoms is a threat, it's not a very intimindating one! :lol:

I don't want to be connected 24/7 either. It's just a "me thing", works out for some but not for me. When I am on the run my focus is on who I am with and what I am doing.
The only advantage for us to get an iPhone, at the moment, is for traveling. If we need some type of information on the road, we can look it up and it will be nice to also have online access to upload coupons to scan at certain locations. This has been frustrating on the run. Here in town we would have to go home to print out a coupon then head back out, now we can just upload it on the spot to use it right then and there. Most businesses seem to be going this route, along with paper coupons, (not a real big deal but what a nice convenience to have that on us!) We also want this for the camera/video purpose to store what we want while traveling. On a road trip - laptop, camera and old phone works perfect. When flying, going by train or ship, I want to travel very lightly without a lot to drag around, I am a "one suitcase" type person when traveling this way. It is convenient to have a "3 in 1" type device. It's just something we are looking into at the moment and the timing seems about right since Wayne and I travel a few times a year. I will still take the laptop on road trips (over pack on road trips :wink
but cannot connect until I am somewhere. The iPhone (or something similar) will be helpful when we can't stop somewhere to access internet. As far as being connected 24/7, I agree with you, just not my interest at the moment. Information purposes while traveling, hotel, restaurants, and more will be very handy and we wish we would have had that on our last couple of vacations.You can tell I have been really thinking this over! I hate to jump into something without making sure I have a use for it. I have not wanted any of this until our last few vacations when we had a need for it. We are still taking our time to decide on it.

Oh yeah! Something else to add about the need of an iPhone. You would not believe how many times Wayne and I are out and desperate for some information about what we are doing or where we are going. We would call my son or daughter to look up something online for us (this has been going on for years). We have done that while driving around town and even while we have traveled! At least we saved money on data by using them as our "data". :lol:
There's another reason to upgrade! They are not always available to go online for us.

Good afternoon ... not much going on here .. both kids have little league practice tonight.
I still need to get to the store to finish up getting stuff for Easter, dont have much left to get thankfully.
The snow we got the other day is all gone .. it was pretty while it lasted. We didnt get much snow this year. Not even enough to make a snowman. Hopefully next year will be better.
