Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

With my aforementioned car part purchase, I finally feel like I'm getting back to the Camaro. I haven't felt well for the last few weeks, so it's good to be feeling back to normal and thinking about fun stuff...like a building street rod!

I'm going with Nancy & the kids to take Elizabeth to ballet this evening. Then we need to pickup a few things for Easter gifts (when did Easter turn into gift-giving, anyway?), maybe go out to eat.

I Love to watch The Good Witch series, It's the great pumpkin, Disney's the headless horseman, Donalds scary tales, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, The Haunted Mansion, Harry Potter and things like that. I also like Ghost Busters, Rocky Horror Picture show, Frankenstein and any old B&W scary movies (they don't bother me...)

I bet you'd like "The Devil Bat" with Bela Lugosi! Lugosi has a grudge against a manufacturer who stole his formula for a shaving lotion. So he invents a new shaving lotion and trains giant bats to attack and kill anyone wearing that unique scent. Then he gives free samples to his enemies and urges them to "rub it on the tender part of the neck ... it's very soothing!"

It is a wonderful thing. What gets me is that He did it WILLINGLY!

I feel the very same way Mgramsey. I am always just so sad on Good Friday. I have been talking to Him all day. I have also been trying to show my love for Him by changing my siggie so often. I can't believe (although I do) that He did such a wonderful thing for me.....xo

We have a few Halloween type movies with no gore also we watch every October, some are: Young Frankenstein, The Monster Squad, The Goonies, Mad Monster Party (an old Rankin/Bass stop motion movie)

OMG! I forgot that I have that same book! I will have to get it out when we get back home!

I just bought a book called "Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas" it is a good book of reviews on Christmas movies, and some movies I never thought were Christmas movies. It has made me want to see some more movies.

It is time for a nap. I had to sneak in an extra dose of meds. They are finally starting to work on the pain. Somehow, I also had a semi-migraine in there, too! Being here helps just as much as the meds, I think!

Definitely a separate service. It isn't free---there's a yearly fee. But when you absolutely, positively have to have that 16mm print that you can't find anywhere else, it's helpful.

Hey everybody!!! I just wanted to drop in say HAPPY EASTER!! I hope you are all doing great! I'm hoping to go back & read some recent posts but hubby will be home soon & we're heading to a fish fry. The last one of the year!

Wasn't able to get on before now---was doing a monster brochure at the office that will be continued on Monday. This brochure has been in the works for nearly two years!! The client just can't stop tinkering with it. This time it's full of questions about whether various commas, capitalization, plurals, etc. are correct. (Of course they are---I've been the proofreader from the beginning!) So I have to enter explanations for all of their questions ... frustrating. Got out a little early today, about 4:30. Tired and frustrated. A client had sent in cookies, ice cream, and cannolli, but I was too busy to even go look. Well, the Dairy Queen is open now, maybe we can go there tonight for a soft-serve.

The upcoming trip back home is weighing on my mind and making me moody, too. There are unhappy memories and emotions connected with it, even though I'm going for an ultimately positive purpose.
