I want a tornado!!!!! It's been too long since I've seen one. I want it to stay in the cornfields of course and not go right through my apartments.

I've only seen them on TV and I've had plenty of dreams about them coming towards me! Well...they were nightmares! They look really frightening! Are they expecting tornadoes where you are?

It's here once again. Cycled back, it has.
Carl and crew -- ready for action for the second open house of April.
Believe the theme is "Spring into Spring", or something like that. Lots of flowers decorate the place.
Carl is adorned with a garland of flowers as well.
(Probably fancies himself a race camel. Oh, well.)

But we digress.

Onward to today's count figures:
Days to the Season: 217
Days to Christmas Day: 259
Under 2 1/2 weeks remain until that 200-day Season Window has its grand opening.
But before that, only 16 days lie between us and the 1/3 mark to Christmas Day.
(All geared up for a double Milestone?)

It was so unseasonably warm yesterday, it was almost hot!
Got the yard mowed while I had the chance, as rain is in the forecast by the day after tomorrow.
We are standing at 64 degrees here right now.

We had quite the series of thunderstorms roll through here earlier - knocked out my internet again. Palmer was watching from the windowsill for a bit. I now have a window to clean tomorrow - there are nose prints all over it. Every time I checked on her she was sitting still as a statue - sneaky cat! cheesy

That storm system is headed our way, will see what happens to it when it crosses the lake.
Penny will sit at the window during a storm too, every time thunder rolls she ducks. Pocket goes and hides in the basement, does not like storms one bit.

I understand more than ya know! With 8 kids running around here(7 mine and my hubbys and one my brothers ALL under 18) it gets CRAZY! and with 4 girls it's almost alwasy Drama drama drama!!! LOL but someday we will look back and wish for these days again!!!

chocolate chip pancakes sounds good and how do ya get off so easy?!?!?!LOL a "normal" morning here at my house is Eggs, toast or homemade biscuts, Gravy sausage or ham. if I could only get away with Cereal, oatmeal,Grits or cream of wheat I would be a happy camper!

Hi everyone. It was beautiful out today but it was actually a little too warm for me. I put the air conditioner on this afternoon, the house was getting so hot. At one point I looked at Molly and the poor thing was panting from the heat. So I turned the air on for her, lol. Its going to be warm again tomorrow but the temps will start to go down on Thursday. I feel like we went from 40 degrees to 80 in a couple of days!

wow, we have not had that here yet, a few very nice days but noting that warm yet. It will be getting colder the next few days with a winter storm watch on.Will see what happens

Nope. He says they won't do anything if they find some broken ribs or a broken collarbone so he isn't going. He won't take pain meds so he'll just suffer through it.

I gave him one of mom's old slings to help keep his arm up and relieve some of the pressure on his shoulder and he said that helped some.

ouch, is it a problem with the cost that he will not go and get it checked? I hope it is not as bad as it sounds.

I'm listening to the Partridge Family's "Come On Get Happy", and I am!!! I'm loving being here again and being part of the Christmas community...

It was 85 here yesterday...YUCK!!!

On the home front, the work is almost done, the painting being the second to last item on the to-do list, and they are there today...The final item will be the TV back up, this time above the fireplace, and the stereo hooked up to blast Christmas Music!!!

So life is good! Challenging to say the least, but good...

Hope today is a great one for everyone!

We had to run the air conditioner last night but woke up to a chilly morning and will be that way all day.

Jayish, you just broke a record. You showed up on here a few times this week already! "Come On Get Happy"! Are you going to sing anymore Beatles tunes again today? I am always up for that! =)

Tonight's dinner: Ribs, dirty rice with red beans, cole slaw, and homemade hush puppies. It was so good. And I learned something. Did you know that if you cut with the sharp edge of a knife that it actually works and that cutting with the other side doesn't, LOL! I tried it twice! Dessert is coming up: Cajun bread pudding.

LOL< if I told my family I was serving them dirty rice, no one would eat!

thanks for the heads up about the knife, I will turn mine around and see if that works better!
