I was thinking the same thing, ChristmasHeart!
I... You don't have to wait long for a surgery date.

The thunder and lightening have stopped. I finally got the dogs to settle down. Just took this picture of Maggie. I have a Christmas blankie on my bed that the dogs sleep on. She burrowed underneath it and fell asleep. So I tucked her in and she's sleeping like a baby.

Well...I didn't quite get through everyone's posts for today! WOW! I wish I had more time during the day to be here!
The day went much better today!
I told you that I ended up crying at work yesterday - but I didn't tell you that in the middle of having my melt-down...my boss walked into my office! Well...I could not just turn the tears off at that point - so he stood there and listened to me crying and saying how I am overwhelmed...boo-hoo-hoo...and how I feel like I'm failing...waaa-waaa-waaaa.
Then...all he could say was "But...you have a really pretty Spring dress on today"!
I couldn't laugh about it then...but I have laughed since! I don't think my boss quite knows what to do when I cry! Hahahaha!
Well...its been lovely catching up with you today! Nighty-night and have sweet dreams of Christmas!!!
well I am going to crash now, it has been a physically and emotionally draining day.
This ones for you Louann....

Well, Oklahoma just has a lot of tornadoes and it is something you get used to. Many homes here have storm shelters. Most years there's at least once in the spring where the tornado warning sirens go off and we run to the shelter. My home town hasn't been hit with one that has done a lot of damage since 2003, I think. Before that, we had the bad outbreak in May of 1999 I mentioned, and a fairly bad one in October of 98. Last year, the town that borders us got hit by one that damaged quite a few houses and knocked over a lot of fences and things like that, but thankfully no one was killed. It uprooted huge old trees and it looked strange just seeing them, roots and all, laying around. We took the kids out to see it after it happened and they were fascinated. But, it reinforced to them why we get in the shelter when those sirens go off!
Well then forget it! I'm only coming over there for wings!![]()
I know, me too!! I could go for a cheeseburger & fries right about now!

You guys are making me crave a cheeseburger. We are going to have dinner a little bit early here. My daughter has to go in to work later and I want her to eat before she leaves. Macaroni and meatballs tonight. I stopped in Barnes and Noble today while I was out running errands. I love that store, I could walk around in there all day and browse. I treated myself to a new Gooseberry Patch cookbook.
Hope everyones having a great day so far!
Wednesday and it's after 5! Ya-hoooo, were officially over the hump....
I went to an orthopaedic surgeon to get my results from an MRI I had taken of my knee last week. He confirmed to me that the pain that I have been having in my knee for the past 6 months (I did it pushing a 12,000 watt generator around the house, in the rain, during Hurricane Sandy - now, not so smart of an idea...), was from a torn Meniscus. That means surgery on April 22nd. :-?
The surgeon said the MRI showed a torn meniscus, some floaters and some arthritis, nice... He said he'll go in there and clean it out while he's there; roto-roter??? :? I'm not even 50 yet and it's already starting....lol
So, one good thing that I can remember while I'm home that week, I can be here all day.....
to tired to cook, I went and got Chinese for dinner!
I'm watching The Spirit of Christmas & thinking about our Christmas Angel right now

We spent most of the day in Chico. Normally when we go over, we try to do appointments, shopping, and anything else we can do. I have to have some dental work done, but with radiation, that is normally a given. I went to the doctor and she prescribed a muscle relaxant. We just can't seem to find the right prescription for the pain. Oh, well, we shall see. We went to Best Buy to see why my phone worked once with Blue Tooth and then no more. The clerk finally decided that somehow the settings just needed to be redone. Works like a charm now. It is probably the best BT "sound" I have ever had in a phone, so clear that it is unbelievable! Time for a glass of wine to toast with Mo and Snowflake. Were you toasting too, HomemakinGirl?
Got a bad storm coming at us and tornado watches in effect until 1 am here. I'll come back on here once the storm passes. the day I have had I wish I still drank sometimes, a glass of Jack daniels sounds good to me right now.................. and I have NEVER drank wine. then I remember what life was like back then and go NNNnAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
Burger sound gooooood!
I have a t-shirt that has a picture of a hamburger on it and underneath it says "Man's Best Friend" My wife tells me that shirt is so me. cheesy
When I was writing my blog about Louann this morning, I was watching or more like listening to The Most Christmasy Places In America.
It really is not too bad of a surgery. Oh, I forgot, you're a man!!! LOL!
