It was terrible. I was terrified for him, all alone in a big city. Plus, I was fightin' mad!

Oh no, that sounded terrible for the both of you. I hope that everything then, worked out for the best for both of you. (and a ps for his mom, you were given another chance to keep holding on to your son....good for you!)

Glad you are home safe.

Good evening, friends~

Adrian & I are finally home. We had a great trip on our way to my parents yesterday, and a wonderful time with them, but the trip to his family's house & home today was very unnerving. Bad weather & roads, accidents and cars in the ditch, interstate closed down, etc. We are exhausted & happy to be home safe.

We are going to eat, unpack, and go to bed early.

Thinking of you guys, hope you all had a nice weekend!!

(((Hugs)))

Well, just go ahead and retire, Bradmac, then you can travel with your mom, LOL!

...

My mom took off for an unplanned visit to the Smoky Mountains, just down the road from MGramsey. I have to admit, I'm starting to get a little jealous.

I hope y'all have a great evening! cheesy

So funny! Yeah, we know pretty much in advance all the way through 2017: Anaheim 2013, New Orleans 2014, Indianapolis 2015 (July 5-9 but we will be there before the 4th and after the 9th), Houston 2016, and Reno 2017. It will really be fun if we really can meet!

I'm pshyic!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!

I looked it up online to make sure it wasn't the last week of July while Nascar is in town.

Good morning!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I need to catch up with the posts here. I wanted to read last night but I fell asleep. I took the girls to the mall yesterday to do some spring clothes shopping while my husband worked on the kitchen. We're still in a mess here, but he's making progress. He tore another wall down yesterday so we had a lot of cleaning to do. He said that was the last of the demolition work. I hope so! Anyway, not too much going on here today. I have a couple of quick errands to run later. Then back home for daily chores. Have a great day!!

Good Morning, Yet-Another-Week-is-Here Friends.

Yet another week -- yet another count figure:
Days to the Season: 212
Days to Christmas Day: 254
Day after tomorrow -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 1/3 Season Milestone.
Add a day, and the 200-day Season Window opens on a 100's count landscape.
And here's a quick head's up on our NEXT Milestone: ONE MONTH from TODAY, we will be HALF WAY back to our grand and glorious Christmas Season!!
(Isn't this starting to get exciting?)

Real pleasant here yesterday, with the high in the low 70's, lots of sun and not a smidgen of precip.
Even the pollen fall took a bit of a break.
We read 62 degrees here, currently.

Ready for a Marvelous Monday, Folks?
Hey. It's ready for you!

Gabulldawg, the demolition work is making me crazy. It's that dust, it gets in to every nook and cranny of the house. I cleaned last night and woke up this morning to another layer of dust, it just keeps settling everywhere. We will be doing new wood floors too, I asked my husband to look in to the pre finished wood. This project can't finish soon enough for me!

the first time they leave home is the hardest, no matter what the reason. You cry some, miss them alot and worry about them most of the time.
Will you be able to have regular contact with him while he is at bootcamp?
(((HUGS))) for all of you as you travel through this new adventure.

You know, that's a good question. I have been hearing that when they all first go into bootcamp, they take away their cellphones, iphones, smartphone, etc...but, for good behavior, or a once in awhile treat, they allow for them to have them back for an hour or two at certain times. So maybe we might be able to get a call from him.

But, in the mean time, we hope that he'll be at least able to write home to keep us up to date. I know that when I went thru bootcamp in 1981, all we were able to do back then was to write letters in the evenings about an hour before the lights went out...

God bless you and your son....tell him I send my well wishes and my deepest gratitude for the decision he has made.

I sure will coach...and thank you for your thoughts and well wishes!!~
