Love this, so true.

We got home a little after 11. Back to work tomorrow so we're going to hit the sack now. Thank you for your concern. I'm adding my prayers to yours for all those affected, hurt, and frightened.
I'm want to share some thoughts with you....that express how I feel right now....I read something earlier this afternoon....had a conversation with my Dad...they are not really mine, I'm just going to put them in my words....so allow me to vent if you will...
What happened today in Boston was tragic....gut-wrenching even....my Pop said that it's a shame what the world is coming to and how tragic it is...and in all of his infinite wisdom (and he is much smarter than me)....I told him I agreed...and disagreed.
Today, a Twitter and Facebook account that says it is run by Clark Griswold (it's funny and I wish there was more of that in our world) had a great post. It said something like this...."Some people say humanity is sick. The bombers are sick. The humanity is the outpouring of people who helped."
While it scares me that I'm bringing a kid into this world, it still comforts me to know that there were people running towards the explosion after it occured.....all to help.
God bless Boston.
Well I already posted this once and it got deleted...I think I was saying Good morning everyone! I hope we get our hard wood floors done by tonight yesterday they found a leak in the upstairs shower going through the wall to to guest bedroom. SO that slowed them down some. They did our bedroom in one day but the upstairs bedrooms is just one problem after the other. Anyways the weather is 61F and it is suppose to get all the way up to 86F today with sunny skies. By Thursday and Friday showers and T-storms are coming back bringing cooler weather for the weekend. Okay Have a great day everyone! and glad to hear you made it back safe Merrycarey!
Good morning Everyone!!!
Good morning!
I'm having a cup of coffee, listening to the news. I need to start breakfast soon, just waiting for the girls to get ready for school. Not too much going on today. I think I'm going to take a ride to Whole Foods. I haven't been there in a while, I wish there was one closer to me. Anyway, the weather is supposed to be the same as yesterday, partly sunny and a high of 55. Nice walking weather. I don't like it too hot and neither do the dogs!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Finally getting caught up at work. I get off at 1pm today to go to Jacksonville,fl about a 2 hour drive from here. I have a dr Appt. so I don't have a full 8 hour day today at work. I love going to Jackonville because I miss living in a real "city" sometimes. Anyhow wakey wakey all you late risers it's almost 7 am!!!
Drive careful on the way to Jacksonville, and stay away from the beaches. Nancy took the kids to Jekyll Island last weekend, and she said the sand gnats nearly toted them away. I HATE sand gnats!1pm can't get here quick enough! It's still rather cloudy outside and I love cloudy weather. Whether it's cloudy in April or October I always kind of get in the Christmas spirit when it's like that. I guess that is why I love cold cloudy December days. I always think of that song "winter wonderland" on days like today!
I still read the Gastonia Gazette when we go back to visit parents. Our county only has a weekly newspaper, 'The Graham Star'. Our son, who wants to be a writer, actually covers the baseball team for the paper. This is his 3rd season having started in the 9th grade. The reporter for the paper doesn't know baseball at all and it is good experience for Ethan. It can be awkward writing the weekly team story while playing for the same team but he has managed it so far.Good luck to your son as he continues with baseball season. I was a pretty good softball player and got my name in the Gastonia Gazette several times!
Good morning, everyone!
Busy. Busy. Busy. The world is a strange place. It is incredible where people can turn after witnessing such tragedy as yesterday. Personally, I am thankful to have a great support system around me. My family and friends are incredible and I would not give them up for anything. Despite the fact that I am off-and-on from MMC, I still consider everyone here as friends and family. It's been nearly four years since I began posting on MMC and the countdown thread. For that, I thank everyone for being so incredible. As coach re-iterated, the bombers are sick. Humanity is alive and well.
Moving on. I posted last week about fearing unemployment after my contract at Health Canada is over in a month's time. Unexpectedly, later that day, I received an email from Passport Canada. They offered me a 90 (working) day contract. After a bit of discussions with the manager there, I will be starting at my new job on May 6th. I'm excited to be able to transition from HC to PC without any time off. That means I should not stop getting paid at all. Hooray! Oh... and on top of this, I am still in a competition to have a longer opportunity at Passport Canada as well. So, my 90 days could very well turn into about a year. We'll see how it goes!
Also, after having some snow on the weekend, our forecast is looking great! We're currently in double digits in Ottawa. The only problem is that it is raining. Still, I'm sure that the rain will help wash away some of the massive piles of snow that amounted over the winter. We're certainly not used to seeing it all hang around this late. I just hope that now we can all rejoice and enjoy consistent temperatures into the double digits... or above 50F!
Well, I should get to work. 211 days left until the beginning of the Christmas Season, but there is so much more to experience between now and then. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!
