Christmas Countdown - 2013

Who knows, but he may think about majoring in journalism in college and become a reporter or even a baseball commentator! Writing for a local paper is really great experience!

I still read the Gastonia Gazette when we go back to visit parents. Our county only has a weekly newspaper, 'The Graham Star'. Our son, who wants to be a writer, actually covers the baseball team for the paper. This is his 3rd season having started in the 9th grade. The reporter for the paper doesn't know baseball at all and it is good experience for Ethan. It can be awkward writing the weekly team story while playing for the same team but he has managed it so far.

I wonder what Brad is doing July 2015? Maybe he and his band could be our entertainment, LOL!

They are just too precious, CAH! Hope your granddaughter is doing better.

If you can see at the bottom of the window in my livingroom, this is my little dog, Chico that waits for me to come home. He does this every time I am out for the day.

Then there is Charlie my cat who is sitting in his cat tree hanging his head out of the blinds sound asleep. You can tell he is so "excited" to see me! Lol!

I am just smiling as I read this, CAH! Our cat flops, too. The only time she gets excited is when she is hungry and wants to be fed!

At least Penny looks excited! My little doggy sits at the window barking and Charlie just sleeps through it. I will come in with my dogs jumping all over me then I look at my sleeping Charlie and say, "Calm down, Charlie, don't get too excited now"! LOL!!!

He really is a very lovable kitty. I call him my rag doll, he just flops in my arms when I pick him up.

Ok. We named the band right out of high school (ahem...a few years ago) and we later wished we had put more thought into it, but everyone around here knows us by the name: Backroads.

Not that it's a bad name, but it sounds more like country music. We do play a few country songs, but we're mostly beach music & southern rock.

She is also very easy to scare. She is also part flying squirrel, can easily leap 6' or more.

Hello everyone. Late start for me today...had to take my son to the doctor. He's okay and will start feeling better soon. Poor guy. We went to an OKC Thunder basketball game last night and had to leave at half-time because his stomach started hurting so bad. I felt so bad for him. He had been looking forward to that game for a long time.

For those of you who don't know who the OKC Thunder are, they're pretty much the best basketball team in the western half of the NBA. They're the real deal. :-D
