Saw this on Facebook; thought Made and Coach would like it. I know it gave me a chuckle!

That's what we do here. We are family. Glad things went well. Take care of yourself, too, because you will also need strength to get through!

Good morning!
My father had his surgery yesterday. It kept getting delayed, they didn't take him in until the late afternoon. The doctor performed a bypass and it was a complete success! It was so nerve wracking the way they rushed him in to the city like that. I wish that he was closer so that I could just go run up and see him. But I am happy that he is in good hands there. Hopefully we will find out today how long they expect him to be there. I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much to me. You are all amazing. So very thoughtful, kind and caring. I'm lucky to be part of this forum!!!

Good evening,

I keep thinking today is Tuesday, but it isn't, I am all thrown off by having today off. I must get up early enough. Hope you all had a great day.

Good night everyone.

That would seriously be terrible...

Sid is back in the line-up tonight!!! :rudolph:

Have a great time with your dad, Brent.

Good morning everyone!

Well. My final day at Health Canada has arrived. At 12:30 pm, I will be leaving work for a physiotherapy appointment. It will be the end of my final shift here. I've been in and out of the office since November 2011. Although it would be nice to come but, I'm really hoping to have something permanent before I can return here next year. We shall see! Onward and upward, as they say.

My dad arrives today. I'm excited. Again, he's driving from Sault Ste. Marie and should arrive around 3 pm. It should be a night filled with hockey watching. Who am I kidding? It will be a night and weekend filled with hockey watching! We'll see if he has any other plans when he arrives.

Hopefully I'll have time to enjoy the weather this weekend. Again, temperatures are to be in the mid 20s all weekend. And, of course, the sun will be shining, too. I love all the seasons, especially Winter, but it is truly a great feeling to finally have warm weather back in Ottawa.

Well, I hope you're all ready for the weekend. It's only a few hours away. Have a great Friday!

mmmh I just tried to post a picture....hit the post button...and all that came up now was my signature and the banner with all the furbabies in it in honor of louanne....weird...I never had trouble posting pictures

I, for one, don't think you are a dork. If I had been there, I would have it enjoyed it, too!!!

Good Morning everyone!

They just played, Walking in a Winter Wonderland on the weather segment of the news! The weather has been wacky here. The other day was in the 80's then it dropped to the upper 30's yesterday, cloudy and still chilly this morning.

Yesterday I watched The Brady Bunch (yes, love that show still). It was the Christmas episode where Carol loses her voice due to laryngitis. I love when Cindy ask Santa to give her mom's voice back for Christmas so she can sing at church and he she would be able to sing. Her dad says, "Santa can't do that, he's not a doctor". Cindy says with a big smile, "He's better than a doctor, he's Santa Claus"! You go Cindy! I'm a dork, I know! Yep, I love that show! Ha ha!

With the cool weather that show came at a perfect time, it felt Christmasy. I then popped in a M*A*S*H DVD and watched a Christmas episode from that series.

I hear you about that kind of pain. Just don't eat too much!!!

Hello everyone. I haven't been on much this week so I am way behind on posts. I hope you all are well!

I ended up not being at work yesterday as I called in sick. Wednesday night I was up until 4:00 am as I could not sleep. Turns out, I have a pinched nerve in my lower back! That thing hurts like a son of a gun! It has been shooting pain into the front of my left leg. Anyway, I'm sure it will be better soon and not anything big...be back to normal soon.

The doc has me on a steroid. He said it won't give me 'roid rage, but will make me hungry. So, my BBQ bender I have planned for this weekend may have just gotten even bigger.

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Thanks, Dawg. Don't forget to thank Brandi, too!!! It is an important profesion. Through our classrooms walk all the people of the world. Some turn out to be presidents, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals who contribute to this world. Sadly, there also walk some who do not turn out so good, who sell drugs and others who kill and end up in prison. But I wouldn't have traded my job for anything!

Hello everyone! Wife just texted me it's National Teachers Day! So thank a teacher in your life today! It's one of the most important job's I can think of! So Thanks Seawaters for your years of teaching!! If I am forgetting any other teachers out there on this board i'm sorry but again thanks for all yall do!

goin to the grocery store to buy some potatoes for tonight´s dinner....and some tortillas chips for tomorrow´s dinner

That's good advice. I check it all the time. I have had surgeries and pins put in. It isn't any more painful than others. Just LISTEN TO THE DOCTOR and do exactly what he says!

You might check the WebMD website---they might have "what to expect" information. Will be thinking of her---and you.

You are almost the Bionic Man! Did you take pictures with your eyes???

I'm glad your dad's surgery went so well!

I hurt my back while I was building the deck around our pool last year. I went to a chiropractor for a few weeks, and she fixed me right up! I hope you get over it soon!

Sending a prayer for your mom and for you. I haven't had screws in my ankle, but I do have a plate and screws in my neck. See?

I asked the doc if I could have a copy of this x-ray. He said he's asked that all the time, and he could sell me a copy for $50! When he walked out, I took a picture of it. LOL
