Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Wednesday morning all. Half way to Christmas season. Hot weather arrives today. Forecast to hit 80. :x

High school academic banquet was fun last night. Still have the athletic banquet tomorrow. With the school year about to end, we are looking forward to June 26 when leave on vacation. Once we return, I'll be ready for summer to end and fall to rush in.

We got our first taste of ObamaCare yesterday. Medicare says mom was using too many refills on her wound pump and refused to allow any additional supplies this week. With no refills for the pump, the home health nurse had to remove the pump and mom started bleeding heavily. The nurse was forced to called an ambulance for the uncontrolled bleeding. Mom spent all day at the hospital and had to have blood transfusions. She has to go back to her surgeon today to have the wound pump put back in. The surgeon says he will attempt to reason with Medicare but is not optimistic. Wonder if Medicare will realize that an ambulance ride, emergency visit, blood transfusions, and visit with a surgeon costs more that simple refills for a wound pump.

Very scary. I don't like the new way of doing things either. It's scary what things are going to come to. Continuing to pray for your mom.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a hot one here today with a high near 90. BOO!!!!!!! I hope it's cooler at the pines. Not much going on here today. My buddy is supposed to come over to fill me in on all of the latest drama in his life this morning. Then I need to get some cleaning done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

My wife suggested moving down south recently, I told her she could go without me because I could not handle the heat. cheesy We went to Charlotte, N.C. in July 2004. All I can remember while we were swimming is I could still feel myself sweating under water. If we were to move anywhere I would rather move more north.

How is your day going so far. All is well here. Trying to figure out what I am going to do for dinner. Any suggestions??? I'm sure one of you can give me one!!! As much as I pin on Pinterest, you would think I would never have a problem.

What's your plans for the rest of the day/tonight? Nothing planned here. I will be spending it here at home, hanging out with my sister and the kids. I'll be heading back to work tonight.

I am afraid I am starting to feel the effects of the bug, I feel lousy, but it is not enough for me to call out of work yet. My wife and JP are home today, we sent LC to preschool since he is back to normal.

I am going to go rest before work, hoping this is a passing thing.

Hello Sugar, I am having a cup of coffee and doing laundry too. I just fried chicken cutlets for dinner, I have to decide what else I'm going to make. My daughter has to go in to work later this afternoon so she needs to eat an early dinner. Hope you have a good night at work!

Good afternoon!
I have been busy doing spring cleaning, getting rid of a bunch of stuff that really do not know why I still have. And the dust! Goodness, I even dust on a regular basis (well once a month anyway!) and still have tons of it. But my living room is looking much better and less cluttered again.
Having pizza for supper because this is the last day for kids company and we are having a party!

work was good today, Kandice was in hockey training today and did really well and then to end the day on a high note.....we had some chinese food for dinner......fried noodles with veggies and chicken....t´was very nice

I understand. I would certainly enjoy your weather. I grew up in Gastonia, NC (about 20 miles east of Charlotte). My old job moved us to Dallas, Nashville, and then Atlanta. In 1999, I made a career change and we moved to the mountains. My mother grew up near here and I have lots of family in the area. At our elevation, we usually don't get above the mid 80's during the summer and we get to experience some winter, (not as much as you).

Brad, I thought of you yesterday afternoon when a special came on about a man who started frequenting a guitar shop. He said that he has lots of guitars, LOL, It was so neat to see how much he had learned just by befriending the shop owner! He said he went from knowing nothing about guitars to now having his own band! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

The cool part of it is, the owner is actually starting production on a line of guitars that he's named after his mom, wife, aunt, etc. He's also producing amplifiers that he's naming after the men in his family. I'm supposed to get a tour of the factory this summer.

He's the little brother to my best friend in HS who played in the band with me for 20 years. Nice to know people who know people!
