Ever since we got these dang iPhones a few weeks ago I'm addicted to Words With Friends! Anyone else play that game?

Totally addicted to that game! I play against my daughter and husband! I scored 520 yesterday, my highest so far. I have only lost one game since we started playing. (shhhhh... don't tell them I told you that). I'm sure I will lose more, they are getting a little challenging to play! =)

I am a Scrabble fanatic anyway so this game is perfect and I like it that you can go at your own pace and make a play when you have time. Just getting ready to make a play on it now!

I'm a new iPhone user, too, but I don't have that game. I play Scrabble with Mr. now and then, though. I have to be on my toes, though, because he's very good.

See what happens when I get behind on here? I didn't know you got an iPhone! How do you like it?

You might try that game Ryan told you about Word With Friends, it's my favorite and I love how you just play at your own pace. Sometimes it takes us days to finish a game because it's not a timed game, you just make a play when you can. That is the only "toy" I play with on my phone and the rest is for necessities, that sure has come in handy!

Hello Christmas family
I haven't been here for weeks...
Busy with my daughter's Confirmation
And I have some other pain related issues to deal with...

My daughter had her Confirmation last Sunday
and Im still exhausted...
We had it here at home, with over thirty people in our living room

Hello everyone. Prayers please! Just got word from the Mrs. that she has an interview this morning at one of our local schools for the librarian position. She just graduated with her masters in library science. She's nervous, excited, and all of that. She had no idea the interview would be so soon, but the principal called and asked if she could go ahead and come in this morning. So proud of her...hope it works out...if it's the right job and God's will.

I love this time of year, too! Every July 4th we have folks over for a cook-out and then watch fire works on the front lawn (we can see the show from the park down the street without even leaving). One of my favorite days of the year.

I also watch John Wayne's McLintock! every year on the 4th or around then.

sounds awesome....when i was in the states in 99 we were thereover 4th of July....we were still so jetlegged that we could not stay up til the fireworks

I was in Hobby Lobby (big arts/crafts/decorations store) and they had out their summer items. I loved seeing it because once those go away, the fall and Christmas decorations will come out! They start putting out that stuff as early as August!

I noticed it now says I am a "5 Year Member," but I know I haven't been a member of the site that long or at least I don't think I have been (maybe I registered years ago but was not active). Anyone know how that works? Anyway, just thought I'd ask.

I was in Hobby Lobby (big arts/crafts/decorations store) and they had out their summer items. I loved seeing it because once those go away, the fall and Christmas decorations will come out! They start putting out that stuff as early as August!

Our Hobby Lobby starts putting out Christmas decor late June! Really upsets some people. Not sure why, no one is forcing them to walk down those aisles!

What people fail to realize is that there are people who craft all year long and start working on gifts and centerpieces as early as June. So if you visit a craft store...guess what folks...they stock what crafters need!

I agree! I was on Hobby Lobby's facebook page last year around late June and you would not believe the rants on there. Some actually complained that they will never shop at Hobby Lobby again just because of the Christmas items being out early. During late June it's usually just one or two aisle. My goodness! That store is huge! They don't know how to walk pass those aisles and shop the rest of the store? It's really not that hard. If there is something I am not interested in I just walk by, not complain about it.

It's really comical in a way that people can let Hobby Lobby Christmas items ruin their life! :lol:

Well not far away from the weekend now! This week has just whizzed on by! Today I'm still catching up with house work.

My son has lost his first tooth . It still feels like only yesterday when he first got teeth!! They are growing up too fast.

What a night! We finally got to sleep around midnight. Even after the tornado warning expired it was still a bit shaky outside and we were keeping an eye on the weather in case they put the warning back into effect.

I don't usually get too freaked out over this kind of weather but when those sirens started sounding off it gets a little scary. It's really sad what happened over in Granbury and surrounding areas.

I can only imagine how scary the sirens must be. My thoughts are with the people in the affected areas.
