Christmas Countdown - 2013

Hello everyone. Crazy Sunday yesterday! We spend some time in the tornado shelter with the sirens going off around us, but we were never in any real danger. The town my grandparents live in, Shawnee, was hit fairly hard in places but they are okay (the neighborhood behind them took a direct hit and one fellow was killed). The storms stayed south, east, and north of us, and we were in the middle zone that didn't have any tornadoes, thankfully! Just hail, strong winds, and crazy rain.

What's strange is the night before all these storms hit, my wife and I found our VHS tape of the footage I took after a massive tornado we had back in 1999. We watched that Saturday and showed the kids.

Good morning, MMC!

A very Happy Monday to you!!! I love Mondays - so many good things happen on this day. Already I was hugged by my cat, picked out a new book to read, and, best of all, found a Christmas ornament on my desk as I was clearing it off. I just know the rest of the day will only get better - but, seriously, it will be hard to top the hug!!

I read there could be some horrible storms today - please be safe, everyone! We could get some thunderstorms later this afternoon - my garden needs watering so I am hoping for a nice soaking rain.

Again, be safe! And MERRY, too!!!

hey everyone.....public holiday today in Deutschland....yesterday as well...Pentecost (Pfingsten in German)....the weather is not really nice...but Im still thinking of doing something with Kandice instead of just sitting at home....but we´ll see....I hope Y´all have a good day!!!!!

My weekend continues today, it is Victoria day here in Canada. Fireworks tonight, just have to decide which one we will go to.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a miserable day hear with a high of 90 and high humidity. Someone shoot me now!! So I'm been up for a while trying to get all of my laundry and cleaning done before it gets to hot. The rest of today will be spent in front of the air conditioner working on the computer and maybe watching a Christmas movie. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

So, BradMac....Wifey said that she would like to go see the new Star Trek movie....here's my question....can you just jump and start watching and it make sense or do we need to watch the last few movies before we do that?

You should rent the 2009 Star Trek before you watch this one, just to clue you in to what's going on. Hope you guys enjoy it, too!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I didn't get a chance to see Star trek again this weekend. :-( Hopefully, I can't go one evening, this week.

We got a lot of work done on the Camaro Saturday! We put new U-joints in the drive shaft and put it under the car, bolted the transmission to the cross member and bolted the cross member to the frame, ran the new fuel line, and turned the front brake rotors. Whew, we were greasy by the end of that day!

We were at my mom's yesterday afternoon when it clouded up and flooded rain for an hour. Then the wind started blowing VERY hard, the temp dropped about 20 degrees and it started hailing. I thought a tornado was about to hit when it eased off. I have to say, I was a little concerned when I saw the tops of the pecan tress swirling around.

She got 1.75" of rain, and at my house, 10 miles away, no rain at all. LOL

Morning! Hope you all had wonderful weekends. It goes so fast. Long day yesterday so I am not doing to much today.

Yesterday , I spotted a stuffed toy polar bear wearing a Santa hat in someone's window It made me smile . It is exciting to think that in a few months when the season begins Christmas will be everywhere.

Hello everyone!
It is going to be mostly cloudy today, chance of a shower with a high of 73 degrees.
I have a couple of errands to run this morning and then back home for daily chores. I need to do some extra cleaning today, my husband made a lot of dust while he was working in the house this weekend. I also need to make an appointment to have a physical. I usually go after the new year, but I just realized I never went. And I have to take my daughter to the seamstress after school to pick up her prom dress. Can't wait to see how it looks now that its altered.

Awww, poor little thing, she's been getting all kind of new weather events this year with the snow and cold weather as well. I'm sure she's getting a lot of extra love to make her feel more secure from momma....give her a hug from us as well!

I was just looking at the weather channel and here appears to be a really unstable cold front that stretches from Texas all the way up to where you are, with tornado's, hail, etc... It appears that Oklahoma and Kansas are going to get thumped today; so please if anyone lives there, be careful and keep your tv/ radios on...

Well, I'm on my second cup of coffee this morning, and need it too, because it is so dreary outside here today (weather wise; overcast, foggy and humid) I hope everyone has a nice day today.

Yes, she is!! I was up with her on & off all night. She would try to burrow near my legs or paw at me during loud thunder & flashes of lightning. At one point, she jumped off the bed & curled up in a corner between the wall & closet She had't gone potty since 5:00 that evening, and every time I'd take her out, thunder would boom & she'd high tail it for the door!! Finally, around 3:00 am, the downpour subsided, and I took her out. Feel so bad for her, but these things will hopefully become normal to her after awhile.
