Enjoy your day, Made! In the words of Brak (I think it's Brak): "I hope you love it."

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cloudy cool day here with a high of 68 and a slight chance of rain. Today is one of my favorite days of the year. I've been watching coverage from the track since 8am and it's bumming me out. I haven't been to an Indy 500 in years and I really wanted to go this year. No one wanted to go with me though and it's not as fun to go by yourself. So I'll sit here and listen to it on the radio since it's blacked out locally. I'll probably grill out for lunch with it blaring in the background. Then once the 500 is over, it will time to gear up for the nascar race tonight!!!!! So it's racing all day for me!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I wish we could all meet up and enjoy the day and great weather together!

2 years, 1 month, and 17 days!!!!!! Well maybe a few days sooner for me and you since you will be here that whole week.

I was thinking the same thing, Made. When I wake up hungry, I get myself a snack (not snake) because I am a grownup and I buy some of the snacks, and I am sure kiddos get hungry, too. Don't feel guilty about giving him a snack, BUT do discuss with him a change in procedure so you can be consistent and fulfill his need for a snack. Tell him that you realize that he might be hungry sometimes, but he needs to eat when it is time and not use that as a nightly excuse, LOL. In fact, set up a bedtime snack time.

LOL!!! Hey, if it works and he's a growing boy, so one snack isn't going to hurt.

No, a little crying won't hurt; but what is the reason? Some things are necessary for your own (and your daughter's) peace of mind. The pediatrician does not live at your house, nor does she pay your bills!!! I know I am sounding harsh regarding your doctor, but take what she says with a grain of salt. You and your family can come to an agreement and stick to it. For example, if EA abuses the privilege, then there should be some consistent consequences. If you set up consequences and don't follow through, then you really don't have ANY consequences when you give in. Make it something you all can live with.

I agree, but my pediatrician wouldn't. See would never say that's okay. She would say, a little crying isn't going to hurt him, which I agree, but...it's also going to make his sister go nuts, which that is where I go nuts. She is worse then him...lol. She's a little drama queen! :)

Well heck, you don't need to sleep all week then!!!!!! You can catch up on while laying on that beach next week!!!!

As much as I want to, I'm not sure how time I will get on the beach. Our hotel is a family resort - here is the link: http://www.coralbeachmyrtlebeachresort.com/

We will be spending most of the time in the kiddie pools and the small waterpark they have. That's what the kids will love.

Perfect, MC, just perfect!

We're having lunch with a friend today, then we need to get some errands done. Didn't do much yesterday ... had our indoor picnic in the afternoon. Broiled hot dogs on toasted buns, baked beans, tomato soup, and potato chips while watching the Red Sox on TV. Later in the evening I turned on the Roku (streaming video player) and we browsed through some 1950s commercials and game shows on Archive.org. We finished the evening with a Guy Lombardo New Year's Eve show from 1957/58! Hope your weekend is fun and relaxing!

Lol...we do a bedtime snack...he never wakes up and never wants a snack like this. I guess we will have to see if this continues...

I totally agree with you. I think a lot of pediatricians don't live in the real world - sorry to anyone who is a pediatrician on here. I work with them myself, so I can say that. Some of the things they say, just drives me nuts and isn't realistic. The ones that have kids, makes me wonder how they're kids really are. Just a thought...

We all will - it's so much fun there! That is where we stayed last year too. The first two or three days, it rained in there morning, but the third day, it rained pretty much all day. We played in the arcade and bowled. The kids loved that. I just love that there is different things to do, besides just beachy stuff.

If your son is napping, tell your daughter to wake him up and see if he likes that, LOL! What's good for the goose.... That might be a hard lesson, but it MIGHT let him see the effect, even at his age.

Good afternoon, all. I ended up sleeping about 2 hours or so. EA, DH, and I spending time together now. DS is napping. I feel better now myself.

I have Christmas with the Kranks playing. I love this movie!

I'm still mad at my sister for changing their plans to go there after all of the time she had me spend on researching it for her. They were looking at going next week too!! So you almost got to meet some of my family.

He is actually awake now, but trust me, he knows all about that. More times then he waking her up, she wakes him up, at night and during the day. She is such a horrible sleeper, has been from day one.
