Good morning everyone.

We have the chance for more severe weather today including tornadoes. Yep, our "tornado" bags are packed. If another touches down, we're getting the heck out of there.

Might just keep on driving to Santa Claus, Indiana, too!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

I saw this on the news this morning Ryan, and thought about you. Sending prayers your way, stay safe.

I appreciate that offer Brad, ummmm but aren't you going to be in the Smokie's next week as well???
I have to wait till sometime in July before we can go to the mountains. Rats.

Yes, don't risk it. Keep the engine warmed up!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I think the moderate weather is just about over. It's supposed to be in the 90's here all week, with thick humidity. Have I said lately how much I like my desk job?

We have to get to work on the Camaro quickly. Jim doesn't have an air conditioned shop, and the area where we work on the car doesn't even have windows that open. Plus, I'm ready to drive it!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

the 3 of them have not all been in the same house since they were little so they just need to get used to each other again. Pocket has been here for a week now and is doing much better. Now if we can only get Penny to stop surprising her by jumping on her from the couch!

Thinking of you guys. Praying that they stay away, your community has already suffered enough. God bless you all.
Stay safe!

Wow, all last night and through most of the morning it seemed like there was one continuous thunderstorm. I turned the mini blinds around to block out the lightning flashes and slept fairly well, as did Mouse. Palmer was afraid, poor baby. I heard on the news this morning there might have been three tornadoes south of where I live, in the Flint area. The rain had no where to go so I am keeping tabs on my basement again. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see it flood, but I am better prepared to take care of things now. Lesson learned!
we have been getting sudden rainstorms rolling through too. A major road (Don Valley Parkway) in Toronto was closed due to flooding and there were trees down and the side of a building ripped off in that area too. Here is has been lots of rain and thunder. Lightening hit a building near here and put a hole in the roof. We were not supposed to get rain today and suddenly it was pouring buckets for about 1/2 and hour.
Weird weather for sure.

I'm just happy to learn the Pines will be open tonight, and that Carl isn't too good for all of us now that he's Mr. Big Time Hollywood.

Today is Mouse's 17th birthday!!!

I am bringing a selection of gourmet cupcakes to the Pines - enjoy everyone!!!

Happy Birthday to Mouse, and many happy returns! That's a grand old age for a kitty.

Keep and eye on the weather and stay safe. It's awful that so much violent weather has been coming your way in such a short space of time.

I love 'em all! I'm looking forward to getting reacquainted with Gloria's cats, Suki and Pumpkin, when we visit.

xmas365, storms headed your way again this afternoon ... I wish you could get a break from the severe weather. Like Ryan in Moore, you've had more than enough worrying and watching for a lifetime.

We're expecting rain and maybe storms later today, then the temps are supposed to be around 90F for the next three or four days. Typical New England "spring"! It's been mostly chilly and wet since April, and then suddenly, bang! Ninety in the shade! We'll have to hurry and put in the air conditioner.

Thanks, Holiday!!

How was your day yesterday?

Yep, we are having a girls/cousin weekend!! I told you guys the wrong weekend before, but we are all looking forward to this weekend, going through old family photos, going for a hike, maybe catch a movie, do some shopping, and go out for dinner & drinks one night!

My day yesterday was fine! As is today so far! :) After work yesterday I went for a walk, did day 1 of week 2 C25K, then went to the garden & pulled all the radish. My niece/hubby/great nephew showed up with an edger & he edged all around Mom/Dads house, so I helped clean that up. I was whooped when we were done! But then slept terrible last night! Not sure what was up with that! This morning my friend & I got a nice walk in & now it's back to work!
I bet you are really looking fwd to the weekend! How fun!!! I hope Harlow is feeling better today!!

Okay, at this point it might be easier to ask who isn't going on vacation next week?

I am not going on vacation next week!!! :( Actually I am off work next Friday, but I won't be going far. Just spending the night at the lake Thursday - some neighbor girls will be spending the night as well...going out for pizza & "beer tasting" at the local lake establishement! "girls night"!

I hope everyone is having an awesome Pines Day!!!!

Everyone stay safe in the storms!!!

well, the police were back again this morning going through the dumpster. This time they found what they were looking for, a jacket and a large knife. I truly hope this is the end of it all. ((shudder))
I was talking to the neighbors about us leaving for a week and they are going to look after my place for me. Going to introduce them to the family that will be looking after the cats. Told them no one else should be coming except for them. I wonder if I should let the police know I will not be home for a week?

Well yesterday I to drop the truck off at the garage because I could smell the rear brakes burning (locking up) and the truck pulling to the right in the front. Total damage, $850.00! It needed new shoes and all new hardware for the rear brakes and for the front ones, new pads, calipers, turn the rotors, re-pack all the bearings, new brake hoses. The mechanic said I could have lost my brakes at any time because the brakes hoses were so dry rotted... That would have not been good!

So, tomorrow I'm putting the mini van in the shop for a once over before I head down to Florida and back (about 2000-2500 miles) depending on how much I drive while down there. I do this every time just to be on the safe side of things. Boy, I hope nothing wrong with that one, the last thing I want to do is break down, on I-95 in another state somewhere. That happened to me once about 15 years ago as we were driving to Bush Gardens in Virginia, about 20 miles to go to the hotel, the alternator went up in my old Chevy Blazer right on I-95. Had to get a tow truck to tow it to some garage (Bob's garage in Bob's town; lol...) and it cost me $500.00 for a rebuilt alternator.

Boy, I bet you that guy was licking his chops when he saw those out of state tags, I could have heard him tell the rest of the mechanics there that day, " Ok boys, we got a sucker here, shops closing early today.....", ....

Glad you were able to get it fixed before anything bad happened
