Christmas Countdown - 2013

Putting the finishing touches on packing today, then heading for the airport in the wee hours. Excited and nervous to get on our way.

I could use some prayers for guidance, please. I got some more unexpected news about my father's unresolved estate. The current (second) executor is quitting; the first executor, who embezzled five figures from the estate, is still hiding out somewhere; the estate lawyer can't make a claim for the bond issued to her as executor until she's found and brought to court. And that can't be done unless I agree to take over as executor. I honestly don't know if I have the time or money to pick up the ball. My share of the estate, before the bond is claimed, is less than a third of what I've already paid in legal expenses to try to untangle the mess. The bond is for less than half of the amount she actually stole (before legal fees are deducted). I can't shuttle back and forth between Massachusetts and Florida if I'm required to be there in person. I don't know if I can afford the time and money to keep pursuing this, yet the thought of letting her get away with her thievery is unbearable. It's going to be hard to keep this off my mind while we're away. It'll be a very hard decision to make.

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

We're having another plant visit by some more bigwigs tomorrow, so we've been running around like crazy, sprucing the place up. It's a concrete plant! Surely they know the place is going to be dirty!

I was excited to get the brakes finished on the Camaro last Saturday! When we pulled the back drums off, we found that, somewhere along the way, someone had take all of the brake shoes off the back. Luckily, the spare-parts-car I bought had new brake shoes and drums, and a replacement brake line that was broken. Jim says that, with the fast engine he's built for me, I'll really need good brakes. Yikes!

I have Friday off work this week. Some girls from the lake are coming up Thursday & we are going to a beer tasting Thursday night just a mile from the marina where our trailers are. We figured we would do beer tasting & pizza & a bonfire back at the marina after! I'm looking so fwd to it!! I'm not sure if my hubby will join us - he has to work Friday, but our trailer is actually closer to where he works than our home is, so he could easily stay if he wants - he will just have to work Friday & we won't! :dance: I love it when we spend a week night at the lake! :-D

Sounds like fun!!!!

good morning !
Sitting in my room enjoying the view. Going into Burlington with my mom and kids today.
Dropping them off for a movie while mom and me hit the thrift stores in search of Christmas goodies! Well, that is what I am looking for, not sure what mom wants!

I went to the doctor today. I am tired still, yet I hope to begin feeling better soon. We are leaving tomorrow for Mt. Shasta and will return on Wednesday. I will be back later this evening, though, before bed.

I am really in a Fall mood tonight!!
I just looked at the latest Terry's Village catalog, and it had their fall preview =]

So many cute things!! Can't wait.

And I just received an order I had placed on Etsy from a shop that makes perfume oils, soaps, and Chapstick. I bought some pumpkin and pumpkin cheesecake items. And I also bought 2 other scented oils from a different shop, one is Haunted Hayride & the other is Comfort & Joy...a Christmas scent. Love them!

Can the holidays just get here already?!
