I had a wonderful birthday...I got a diary, a green shirt, a book about Mao, a book about the Roman army, a towel, a lucky charm, 2 pairs of pjamas, a lined paper book to write in, £30, £40 in I-tunes vouchers, and a new computer keyboard.

Good Morning, Manic Mid-Weekers and 'Pines Preferrers.

Second Shispering Pines open house of the month.
This evening's theme?
"A Midsummer Night's Dream, starring Carl and his Crazy Collection of Colorful Characters".

Heaven only know what all that means and I think that camel is being intentionally cryptic to get as many people to come as possible.
But what the heck? With Carl in charge, it's bound to be worth the visit!

Just barely over HALF a week remains now until our next Milestone is reached, the 2/3 Season point, after which we will be just a hop, skip and a jump away from a DOUBLE-DIGITS Season count.......as if that could really be possible.
(Of course it is, believe it or not!)

Humid and warm still, but several threats of rain did not materialize which has helped out a bit with the mosquito issue.
Currently? We have 75 degrees here in the capital city.

Good night, all. We had a great dinner and only paid $3.39 for a meal that was $33.39. I had won two $30.00 gift certificates to a local restaurant. Hubby had rib eye and shrimp and I had BBQ chicken and ribs. We brought home LOTS of leftovers. I had homemade cream of mushroom soup with my meal and Hubby had bean and ham soup. So, so good. We went to Wal-Mart to "walk it off" and bought some rocky road ice cream for dessert--like we needed it, LOL! Time for jammies and TV and ice cream. TTYT

Sounds like a darn near perfect evening! You needed it!

I have been so busy and have had a cold on top of all of that. I am trying to get my energy back.

Are we ready for Christmas in July? I have been surrounded by Christmas around here watching the grandkids. They always talk about Santa and Christmas. The other day my grandson was pretending to be Santa Claus passing out gifts. So funny to see kids playing that in July. Then my daughter gave me their Christmas fireplace screen because they moved to a new house that does not have a fireplace. I have been wanting one for ours and happy I got one now!

I hope everyone is doing well!

FYI; Yay, I solved the MMC and Internet problem with using Internet explorer!!!!

I was able to resolve the problem with the MMC website using Internet Explorer. Even though my computer had the box selected for automatic windows updates, it (Microsoft) did not automatically download and install the service pack 1 for windows 7 which therefore would not allow for an automatic update of windows Internet Explorer.

Once I did this "Important" update, the computer re-booted and everything worked fine....


The whole process took me about 2 hours to do~ I'm so happy, so very happy!

I was just fixing to say that mine seems to have resolved itself, unless you resolved mine too, LOL!!!

Jeff was working on it this weekend, so maybe he finally found the bad code.

Here was the main problem with microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer (both were the problem); there is a box (a window) that can be check to allow for Microsoft windows to do automatic (and critical) updates; however, microsoft labeled their fixes as "Important", and the service pack 1 update was included.

In order to get the progams to run correctly you need to manually go in and select your operating system and then download and install all of the "Important" updates. Which, by default includes the Service Pack 1 and Internet Explorer 9 upgrade and you cannot download and install Internet Explorer 9 without downloading and installing the Microsoft Windows Service Pack 1 first.

It's like who's on first, what's on second.... So, to make a long story a little shorter, I previously had my computer automaticly check for updates and it said I had all the updates... there was the problem. Critical updates, yes...but not the Important updates; ugghhh ! They always have to make it so difficult; don't they.... I discovered all of this, via Fort hard knoxs; the hard way and by myself, the IT guys here had no clue...

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a hot one here with a high of 89 degree's and high humidty. So I'll be sitting in front of the A/C all day!!! I have some work to do on the computer and then a few more things to do around the apartment today. Nothing to exciting. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
