Christmas Countdown - 2013

Christmas in July weekend coming up and I have to work Saturday morning, make a big cake in the afternoon, then on Sunday is church and then a big farewell party for our interim pastor and his wife (that is what the cake is for). So busy, I will try to get on as often as possible but sad it sounds like it will not be to often.
But now, I have to get ready for work.

Good morning!
I had a lot of fun reading everyones QVC posts this weekend :-D
It is going to be cloudy with a chance of showers today. Not as hot as it has been but its still humid and uncomfortable outside.
My oldest is taking her state board LPN exam right now. I can't wait until she gets home to see how she did. Not much planned for today. A couple of quick errands and daily chores. I started dinner already in the crock pot, chicken enchilada soup. My parents are finally home from Pennsylvania so I may take a ride over their house this afternoon for a visit.

I need to get the coming weekend's CIJ schedule figured out. Thankfully, with my phone I can check in even if I am not at home around the computer. I actually got roped into helping someone move a freezer on Sunday, so that will cut into the CIJ time, and I'm not happy about it! :-D

Good Morning! Happy Monday! I have just been to the local shops and I have spotted my first two christmas items !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One shop had a couple santa gift boxes out and the shop next door had some christmas cake moulds!! It's starting!!!

P.s.. she is doing good . says she is gonna find it hard putting the tree up and hard getting over christmas.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

QVC ruled the weekend, eh? I checked it out a few times, but I was busy most of the time. Still, it was fun to walk by the TV and see anything about Christmas!

This weekend is Elizabeth's debut in The King and I play. She has to go almost every day for rehearsals, and she has ballet camp this week, too. Such a busy ballerina.

My brother and I finally gave up trying to clean the gas tank on the Camaro. We pulled the tank out of the other Camaro I bought for spare parts, and its tank was in great shape! We had to brass-weld the spout back on the tank (it was loose for some reason), and finished running the fuel lines from the engine to the tank location. Now we just have to hang the repaired tank, and the fuel system will be complete.

The heads were almost ready to go back on the engine, but he says he found a set of Dart heads that a guy wants to trade. Apparently, Darts are very expensive, but aren't allowed on the type on racing track this guy is involved in. Jim is excited, because they create even more horsepower. My, oh my.

I am sorry to hear about Wishbone, but thankful he's not suffering!

Has anyone heard from Seawaters? Is she still having trouble getting on to MMC? Hope she's alright!

Hope you all have a great Monday. My weekend was good...but strange in a few ways. Okay...very strange in spots...It's a long story!

I missed Seawaters! She is usually with us during QVC.

A big thanks to Binger for being the MC of the QVC tradition! I have been watching QVC CIJ for many many years, then join here on MMC 4 years ago and you all had this going on before I ever joined. Great fun!

The grandchildren are here today. We might have a cook out today on the grill if we don't melt in the heat.

Good morning!!! WOW you all were busy this weekend! I don't have time to work & get caught up, so I will jump in here & read what I can!! Hope you all had a GREAT weekend & enjoyed some QVC!! We had a WONDERFUL time with family. My bro/sil made it in safe & sound from Cape Cod! It was so nice of my nieces in-laws to let us invade their pond/camp ground. Such a nice set up they have! Weather was great. Ate too much! Tonight we are going out for Mexican. Mmmmm!
