Home again, moms laser surgery went well and she is now home again too and resting. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

We had fun going through some thrift stores, all I found this time was a great buy on Canadian Geographic and Our Canada magazines for only 10cents each. These are excellent magazines full of good articles and stories.

My brother changed the oil in my van and fixed a few things, it is running smooth again. I love my brother!

We buy both strawberry and grape jelly, but not jam. I didn't like how it would spread and rip the bread every time I was making them sandwiches - the jelly doesn't do that, so I just use jelly now.

I am surprised you don't have a any out by you. There are 45 stores in Mass. and most are east of Worcester.

They ARE out where we are---that's what I was trying to say. There's one at the shopping plaza nearest to us. We haven't been in there for a while though. We used to go in there frequently. I think they lost Mr.'s attention when they stopped selling videos.

I really need to remember to look that up early in the season, I am dying to get my boys to Fenway. I can still remember the first time I saw the left field wall (Green Monster) in person. Having a Fenway frank in the park, and an Italian sausage outside the park. I still get chills when I walk into the old ballpark.

It's usually late in July, and it's an event that's meant to attract families, and the admission prices are friendlier than for the MLB games. You could probably still get tickets for this Saturday.

The ballpark does give you chills---it's the sense of history, the great players and plays that have happened there for a hundred years, and the millions of fans who have cheered and booed and eaten hot dogs and enjoyed a day rooting for the Sox. It's a great place to be on a spring or summer afternoon.

It is surprising sometimes what you can find on the shelves, I have seen the same knicky-knacky things on the shelf for the last couple of years. The one by us has some cartoon VHS tapes on the shelf for a dime, but the books are a great deal rarely do you see anything more than $4.

So sorry to hear that ... I'm sure they won't be getting the same quality they got from your company. I hope another customer comes along to take up the slack.

Thanks Merry! I hope we can find someone to pick up the slack too! And come to think of it...we have been making these parts for 29 years...not 15! Long before I started there! Best case scenerio - we hope the quality of the new part isn't good & we can have the last laugh (without them knowing of course) & keep them as the great customers they are!!!

Our Saturday at Fenway is looking better and better! We'll be seeing two friends we haven't seen for a little over a year---they accepted our invitation to join us (Mr. was given four free tickets). So far the weather forecast looks good. It's only a minor-league game (they do this once a year---it's called Futures at Fenway), but we have access to a luxury box, and it's always a good time. (We have to buy our own food and beverages, though.)

That sounds like so much fun! ENJOY!!!

Holiday, I just prayed for you and your company! I know that has to be stressful.

Thank you! It is stressful - probably more stressful for my co-workers in the shop who have a lot more time invested in it than I do. 2 of my co-workers just bought a building & moved their welding shop there - this is where they did some welding on these parts as a sideline job apart from the work they do on them at work! (does that make sense?? LOL) Now that won't be needed either!

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is gorgeous out! There was enough rain this morning that I do not have to water the gardens for a few days, too. Yay! The plants love rain and do so much better than when I water them with the well water.

I have a slight sore throat, no doubt due to the change in the humidity. My plan is to take it easy the rest of the afternoon as tomorrow I have a lot of errands to run and a few hours of work, too.

Well, we had another great night with family at my brothers house tonight. My bro grilled burgers & hot dogs & everyone was supposed to bring a salad or pasta - it was all very good! We had a bonfire after & it was chilly. I had to borrow a sweatshirt from my Mom!! My bro/sil leave in the morning, so we said our goodbyes. Always hate to say goodbye! They are talking about coming out again in October. Sure hope they do! I am having a glass of Pino Colada wine (Mmmm) & I'll be heading to bed soon - hopefully to sleep much better than I did last night! Hope you all are having a great night!
