One not too cool thing is....my firm is closing so next tomorrow will be my last day of work.....meaning that I will have to start applying for jobs and on.....a shame since I really liked delivering mail.....I will try to apply for some halfday office jobs now and see what I can get....if it doesn´t work out...then I will try to get into official German Mailservice....called the Deutsche Post

Sorry to hear that Track! Wish you Good luck finding another job quickly!!!

Yeah, that is kind of a useless thing to complain about. If you live next to a street you kind of have to deal with loud cars driving by.

Glad you had a good day!!

Agreed! Geesh!

Keep cool!!!

We will be waking up to temps in the low 40's tomorrow morning, it is 52 right now and it feels heavenly.

LOW 40'S???? :o

Yea buddy! As of today, we've lost one hour of daylight so. Starting from the longest day of the year June 21st... And get this, by the end of this month, we will have lost 2 hours of daylight! Fall is coming

This makes me sad!!!! I love the holiday season - dislike all the darkness!!!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

99 days! That looks great!

We're enjoying our vacation. Elizabeth and I took a long walk down a farm road yesterday, and we had a wonderful time. I think we're going to ride over to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, TN today. It looks a bit like rain, but I dont mind.

I hope y'all have a great day!

ENJOY!!!

Fingers crossed. In a few hours we are meeting a contractor to get a quote on roofing and screening in our backyard deck. When that first September cold front passes through, I want to be sitting outside enjoying all of it without needing sunscreen and mosquito repellant. Of course cost is the biggest obstacle and any change to our existing roofline will probably cause the price to go way beyond our budget so we are hoping for a small number. Wish us luck

Good luck!!!

Enjoy the mountains. Maggie Valley is a real nice area. We're going to Pigeon Forge Saturday.

You ENJOY too!!!

Sounds like fun, have a great day Brad!

Good evening,

Another long and very frustrating day at work, but I am off tomorrow and we are planning to go to Six Flags.

Really nothing else going on around here, just hoping the dog days start moving a little quicker.

Good night all!

Have fun at Six Flags xmas :-D

Happy 99 days!!! WOW!!!!!!! :rudolph:

Well - I have a stray black lab at our house! I am not sure what I will do with her. She is not full grown yet - she was roaming all around our neighborhood last night! She has a collar with a clasp attached - like she broke off of her leash! I have posted her pic on Facebook & called people around town who have black labs. I called the vet & the pound. Nothing! I hope to find her owners very soon - or a new home for her! I can't keep her, but she sure is sweet! Why me?? LOL!

We are going out to eat Mexcian tonight for my friends birthday! That's about the only "exciting" thing going on here today!!

Hope you are all having a great day!!

Hey Guys! Hope you are all merry and well! Things are always busy for me but these days things are down right chaotic especially with kids off school. I love having him home though, we have fun. The baby loves having his big bro around too!

My eldest turns 6 on thursday so busy organising for the big day! I can't believe he is 6!!! I still feel like a new mum if I am being honest! Anyway I want to stay and chat on for longer but busy busy busy........

Thinking of you all...........(((Hugs))))

Yes, the time goes so fast. I hope your son has a very happy birthday!!

Good luck with the quote Murphman!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a warm one here with a high in the mid 80's. I've been busy running some errands this morning and now I'm going to try and get some stuff done around the apartment. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I hope you find the dogs owner. I had a similar situation recently and we found the dogs owner the next day after they started to put up signs around the neighborhood. God bless you for taking care of her.
Happy birthday to your friend, have fun tonight!!

Hello everyone! I can't believe its after noon already. My daughter started her new job this morning. I can't wait to pick her up and see how it went. I really hope she likes it. As soon as I finish my coffee I am going to run a few errands. Not too much else going on here today. The weather is still beautiful, not too hot. I turned the air conditioner off on the first floor to open up the doors and windows and let some fresh air in. That road work is still going on around the corner, those trucks are so loud! I'm happy though because they are repaving the roads in my neighborhood. My dogs are going crazy every time they hear that beeping noise when the trucks back up. I think the dogs are annoying me more than the trucks, lol.
I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Good Morning, Friends new and old.

"100 days of the count now remain,
100 days of the count.
Take one away -- do it today,
99 days of the count now remain."

Days to the Season: 99
Days to Christmas Day: 141

Wow! Do my eyes deceive me, or are there really only ninety-nine days left until the start of Christmas Season 2013? Why, that's.....that's......DOUBLE DIGITS!!
Geeeeeeee!

And our next Milestone is.......
No.......
I'm afraid to look. Maybe tomorrow.
(Of course, you are free to check our Milestone chart via post #1 of this thread.)

Simply beautiful weather yesterday.
No rain.
Lower temps.
Low humidity.
Felt more like mid to late September.
I'll take it!
We have commenced today at 69 degrees here, with a light rain falling.

Have a Terriific Tuesday, Everyone.
(And with only 99 days left until the Season to think about, that shouldn't be too hard!)

Wooohoo!!! I love that site of 99 days!!!

After two weeks of holiday, I went to work again yesterday. It is still very quiet at work, most of our customers are on holidays.

It is still very hot here (between high 80s and low 90s) but we won't complain. We had the hardest winter in years and one awful spring (with lots of floods). Still, a little rain would be good for the nature.

The christmas virus as caught up with me again, so I'll try to show up here more often. Unfortunately life has a way of messing up my plans.

@Meceka: Yes, the museum was great. It shows the history of german christmas and it's specialities, specially their traditional decorations. My sister and me could have bought the whole shop, but we wouldn't be able to carry it home as we were traveling with the train.

Nice to see you back!

Au revoir, monsieur soleil.

I just noticed last night how dark it was so much earlier than it was in June. Fall is coming, our local apple orchard opens September 1st, we are looking forward to that.

Good luck to her on her first day!

Good afternoon,

Just perusing the greatest sit in all the web, while my wife is setting up her classroom. There is 3 weeks until school starts, and we will be away for a week starting August 18, so she has to finish up soon.

It is a very comfortable 73 degrees here, it was suppose to be in the 80's but I am beginning to think it won't get that warm. It may be a chilly night at Six Flags. We want to go at night to enjoy the sights of the park all lit up.

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday
