It sounds like they have the wrong code on that game or in there computer. I hope they can get it taken care of and get you the right one soon!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high of 92. I need to get some laundry done today and run to the store. The light bulbs in both of my lamps in the living room blew this morning and I'm out of replacements. So it's going to be pretty dark in here tonight if I don't get more. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Okay, let's see if I can get some sleep tonight by turning off the computer early and stretching out on the couch.

So, did it work?

Wow, you German folks really like you Volkswagens, eh?

my eldest, Jeannine, is 30 years old today! wow, I do not recall getting older myself but apparently she did.

Going out to camp this evening and will enjoy some cake and a glass of wine at that time to toast this milestone celebration.
Happy Birthday to Jeannine! cheesy

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a busy day here at work, so I can't stay long.

Jacob's guitar recital is tonight, and the whole family is coming to see him. He's not even nervous! He just started playing in the praise band at school. Unlike Chorus, who sings traditional Christian music, the praise band plays contemporary praise and worship songs with drums, guitars, keyboard, etc. They had their first opportunity to play before the school during last Wednesday's chapel. I wanted to leave work to go hear them, but he didn't want us to come to his first "gig". he said it went great though, and we're welcome to come to future chapels LOL.

I hope y'all have a great THREE DAY WEEKEND here in the US! cheesy

LOL!!!!! That's where I use to go party with my friend since I went to a technical school.

How about Xavier? Will that work. I had a couple of friends go there too.

Can you get me the titles of the Christmas anthologies? I would love to find them.

My all-time favorite is "The Twelve Crimes of Christmas," an old paperback anthology that I judge was published in the 1970s or 1980s. There's a great Ellery Queen short story in there, and a funny story with a twist ending called "Do Your Christmas Shoplifting Early." Oh, I WISH this had come out in hardcover! I'll have to locate and buy up a couple more paperback copies, because our original copy is held together with scotch tape and crumbling!

The other one is "Murder for Christmas Volume II," edited by Thomas Godfrey. This is a paperback, but the hardcover "Murder for Christmas" contains the same stories plus some more.

Gotta run!

We are getting ever closer to 39,000 posts and you should see the prize that I have picked out for the winner. I am going to tell you, though, that EVERYONE will be able to see what the winner gets--it's that good, LOL! Well, you have to admit that all of my prizes have been really good, LOL!!! Right? Onward, ever onward!

You know, Brad, I was just going to suggest that you should have gotten a box-end wrench, but I lost the opportunity, LOL. I do hope it isn't bad.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I banged my hand yesterday afternoon trying to loosen a bolt with a crescent wrench. I know better. I should have gotten a box-end wrench, but I was in a hurry. I paid the price...ouch! I don't think anything is broken, but it turned black & blue. LOL

The big boss made a surprise visit here from the corporate office this morning. No one knows why he came all this way, but I guess we'll find out soon.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Ooh, what could it be?

Amazon has been great for me lately, and we also have some used bookstores in town that I've found some out of print, uncommon, or eclectic reads.

Where I used to live in Maryland, there is a HUGE used-book store called Wonder Book and Video. Every time we go back to Maryland we go there and go nuts ... then we go to Staples for boxes and mailing tape so we can ship the books we bought, back home! I miss having all those great books practically in my backyard. That was THE place for "out of print, uncommon, or eclectic reads."

A few towns over there's a used-book shop called Bearly Read Books. I must go over there sometime and check them out.

There's also the New England Book Fair in Newton, which is a sprawling warehouse-type place full of publisher overstocks---we go nuts there, too! You can get a free t-shirt with a $50 purchase, and over the years we've collected us a few t-shirts!

I do that sometimes, too, Star. I love going back, especially when it is hot here. Like I said, though, we have had atypical weather. Sure, we've had some hot days but not like in years past. I really hope this means we will have real winter weather this year. The last time it snowed here with any accumulation was in the late 1980s, and it was over 30 years ago, when it snowed in downtown San Francisco. I wonder if I should buy a sled?

I have been enjoying reading some previous posts, back from the start of the year when we were all cold and wishing it would warm up ! LOL, seems there is always something to talk about when it comes to the weather!
