"My wife (maiden name "Claus") and I have been a professional Santa and Mrs. For the past 13 years. We have appeared in large malls in LasVegas and Arlington, Texas and will be returning to Arlington again this year, starting Nov. 8th and doing 12 hour days straight through Christmas Eve. Last year we saw over 14,000 children. We dress in red all year, and since my wife is also a ventriloquist, we do things with kids all year. Never dreamed that retirement could be so much fun!"

I just heard back from Santa- here is an excerpt =}


My wife (maiden name "Claus") and I have been a professional Santa and Mrs. For the past 13 years. We have appeared in large malls in LasVegas and Arlington, Texas and will be returning to Arlington again this year, starting Nov. 8th and doing 12 hour days straight through Christmas Eve. Last year we saw over 14,000 children. We dress in red all year, and since my wife is also a ventriloquist, we do things with kids all year. Never dreamed that retirement could be so much fun!

Today will be busy- I need to catch up with things around the house, I have a chiropractic appointment, and Harlowe has a vet appointment.

Loving this cool morning weather!! It's only 47 degrees. Heating back up in a day or two, though.

Better get some coffee & get moving.

Good evening, friends!!

Hope you're having a nice Tuesday!

I have a neat story to share with you guys!
On Sunday, while I was visiting my family in La Crosse, my sister took me out to lunch. We went to the Hungry Peddler, a favorite restaurant for both of us. When we pulled into the parking lot, an advertisement on a car caught my eye. It looked like a Christmas wall hanging that I put up each season. I had to investigate =]
So we walked over to it, and sure enough, it was!! On each of the front doors, there was detailing that read "Believe in the magic of Christmas"! The license plate read Santa C! A Santa hat is centered on the dashboard =}
There were bumper stickers too, that read "My other car is a sleigh" & NP (North Pole). There was also an e-mail address, so I just e-mailed Santa for more information-I'll let you know his response!

When we went inside, I took a picture of the digital Christmas countdown that is hanging near the bar and kitchen area. I always smile when I see it!! The owner, Kevin, is a friend from high school's father. They are also big Christmas lovers! He saw me taking a picture of the countdown, and he asked if I realized that Santa was actually dining in the next room. He pointed him out to me, not that I would have missed him, he had his white long beard and was dressed in all red!! It was awesome!!

I was hoping to catch him before he left, unfortunately that didn't happen. But it was pretty cool to see the big guy so early in the season!!

Yummo! I bet those cookies were gooood!!! It is so sweet for JP helping LC get used to school! Don't forget to take pictures as they head off to school together!

We went to LC's kindergarten open house tonight, and when it was time for the kindergartners to go with their teachers to go on a quick bus ride. JP started saying I can't believe he is going to school and then he started bawling his eyes because he realized his little bro is growing up.

We went to Jo Ann today to look at Halloween decorations. It is the first time I ever had. I am on the hunt for a Halloween tree. The one they had was a bit small, but the lady who worked there had a suggestion. She suggested I buy a three or four foot Christmas tree and spray paint it black. We found plenty of black and orange lights to hang on it, and other decorations. I think this is the route I will take. Anyone have any suggestions?
