Christmas Countdown - 2013

I am sure you appreciate the sofa and will really enjoy it! Those temps sound so refreshing. We have temps in the 90s and set for the 100s next week, but with our whole-house fan, we are good about controlling the temps with not a lot of use of the central air.

It went down into the low to mid 40s (F) last night. The temps in the house have been hanging around 80, so I left some windows open overnight and got it down to 72. It's sunny and clear and cool and so refreshing outside today! But I have to spend the day indoors at the office. At least I can look out the window. And it's Friday! No particular plans this weekend other than Sunday. Two of my BILs and one of my nephews are coming to help us move some bulk trash out to the curb and to move in a sofa, a bookcase, and a cabinet my MIL doesn't need anymore. The sofa should make a nice cozy spot in our front room ... I'm looking forward to that.

Happy Friday! It is chilly start here in CT...def feels like fall is coming. Just working today and my daughter has a soccer tournament this weekend...5 games!

What a blessing that they were able to have a nice weekend. I understand about the exhaustion. Even as a kid, I did not like the long trip to Myrtle Beach, but once we were there, I did not want to leave. You have some good-sounding weather; lucky you! We are supposed to have some high temps for next week, so I am glad we have central air conditioning. I am a wimp when it comes to high temps. Heat just adds to my exhaustion, too. Thinking of your parents and praying for rest for them.

Happy September. We were blessed with a very nice holiday weekend at Myrtle Beach. Dad and Mom did ok. They got to see the ocean and go out to eat. The weather was nice. They were exhausted when they got home late yesterday but enjoyed the trip. It was a long drive but worth it. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts.

Just in time for September, this week's weather forecast is for highs in upper 70's and lows in upper 50's. After storms early this morning, we should be dry the rest of the week. Not perfect weather but getting closer.

I love TSO and would love to attend a concert. My ringtone is Christmas Eve Sarajevo. The eBook sounds like something I would like to read. I will check to see if I can buy it, but not tickets.

We sure did.....in fact we also ordered a pizza.....dunnno what we were thinkin but we ordered a party pizza...which is almost as big as my living room table......around 50cm x 40 cm.....
It was very taste and Kandice and I will have left overs for lunch!!!!

We had a nice day in Port Huron, daughters computer is working really well again thanks to all the new parts she picked up.
Did not get to go to very many stores, but had a nice lunch and time with my girls.

forgot to mention I now have a stationary bike. I really need to get in some exercise and hoping I will stick to this. The bike was free and works well, not a fancy one but good enough. One thing for sure, I need to find a good cushion for that seat!!

Just ordered 2 big lego sets and and a Wii game for my nephew off of amazon for Christmas. So that's 3 down and 2 1/2 to go.

Yes for the fall weather and the leaves. We don't get a lot of fall colors here in northern California, not like we did when I was growing up in NC. At least, though, we do get some cooler temperatures.

I can't believe that Labor Day weekend is already past. I had four days off cheesy, and I got to relax this year. Now I'm ready for the Fall! I can't wait for the cooler weather and the pretty leaves.

The only cleaning we will be doing this year is packing stuff up to store in the garage until the remodeling is finished. After that, we will have a lot of work to do to get everything moved back in!

Afternoon my Christmas cohorts! not much going on today ... work and then my daughter has cheerleading practice tonight.

Thinking about starting my fall deep cleaning tonight. Tackling one room at a time .. by them time I am done all the rooms it will be almost time to start decorating for fall.

I wanted to read all the posts but do not have time.
Leaving for Port Huron in a few min, going to pick up parcels at our US address (my daughter is ) and going to do a bit of shopping. Might pop into Hobby lobby, but they are not fond of us Canadians so will only go if we have the time.
