Just popping in for a sec. I have a busy day!

Snow-in-Texas and I went on a 10 mile bike ride yesterday at the lake. That is the longest we have rode since we got the bikes. I wanted to do more but it was getting really hot by 11 am. The high topped out at 100 yesterday. The muscles in my legs were a little tight yesterday so I thought I would wake up sore but I don't feel a thing. We keep saying that we want to go completely around the lake someday and looking it up this morning the trail around it is just 11 miles. Here we were going so many miles out, backtrack then go out again. We were going back and forth until we reached 10 miles when all along we could have gone all the way around it! I thought the trail was MUCH LONGER than that. We were afraid to get too far out and not make it back. I think our next goal is to go around! I can't believe I lived here all my life and didn't know that info.

When we got done with the 10 miles we cleaned up and headed back out running around for a few hours. By the time we got home we were wiped out and was asleep a little after 8 pm.

While we were out running around we saw lots of Fall and Christmas goodies! Exciting times! :yahoo:

You all have a blessed day!

Good evening,

I am just popping in quickly catching up while my chatterbox wife is on the phone. We were watching a movie, but it is on pause while I wait. Long day at work, but I have a day off tomorrow and we are celebrating Grandparents Day by inviting my in-laws over for a turkey dinner, you're all invited if you can make it!!!

Good night everyone!!!!
have a great time with your family!

Just packed up eight boxes of videos---DVDs and VHSs---from one room, mind you! Then tomorrow we get to put them all back up on new shelves. Hoping this will be worth all the effort. Well, it's not quite as bad as moving, and we're getting rid of plenty of deadwood as we go. We'll be stiff as boards in the morning! Don't know yet what time BIL is bringing the new (well, to us) furniture. A lot of fuss over replacing some old things with a few new ones. We don't rearrange things often.
I am sure we have almost that many too, ours are mostly in the basement. I should go through them all too, but not now.
Hope it all fits in!

I just wanted to give a shout-out to Xmas for all his work on the Christmas-Song-a-Day thread. It has really been a blessing and a mood-lifter. If you haven't visited it and would like to hear some Christmas Spirit, just check it out! You'll be glad you did. Would you believe he has been doing this daily for almost two years!!!
I have not been over there for awhile, thanks for the reminder!

That is a lot of riding, something I used to do a lot of. You inspire me, I will actually think about getting a bike again.
Sounds like you had a really great time!

We are having a big Laua at church this morning. Our new pastor is getting his official welcome. He told us that he always wears Hawaiian shirts when he preaches because he wants everyone to know that it is not important what you wear to church, just that you come. So everyone is wearing something Hawaiian, a shirt, mumu, leis, etc. Going to be a colorful morning!
It is also our churches 97th anniversary so we will have lots of additional guests for this. Lunch afterwards too!

Good morning everyone!

Following a wonderful trip home to Sault Ste. Marie, I have returned to my adopted home of Ottawa. I had a wonderful time with my family and visiting my grandmothers. Now, I guess, it's back to the real world - and trying to re-enter the real world via job searching.

Plans for today? Football is back! I plan to visit the gym for a couple hours late this morning and then sit on the couch and watch football for much of the day. I can't wait to see the Packers take the field once again. It's going to be an exciting season. I just hope some of the changes they made will be beneficial.

As for the weather, it is quite evident that we are nearing mid-September. The sun will be shining all day, but temperatures will only reach a high of 16c/61f. The forecast for the week has it warming up in Ottawa. Highs into the mid 20s/lower 80s by Wednesday. I'm not complaining though...

Excited to see the countdown drop. It will be something when we reach into the 50s later this week. Oh, and who can forget the hidden milestone of exactly two months until the beginning of the Christmas Season?! Another reason to look forward to Friday!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Thanks, buddy!! Come on over, it's pretty quiet here, and we could use the company!!
Harvest party!! Seawaters always says that we can use the Lear, who's in?!

Good morning, everyone! Just getting ready to head to bed. Not going to do much today, except spend time with the family, clean, and bake. I need to get rid of some bananas and peaches, so I am going go bake a banana but bread and peach cobbler when I get up.

For dinner, we're going to do stuffed pepper soup. I am looking forward to tonight!!! Alright, off to sleep a few hours. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC. So, after church, my wife is taking the kids to her parents and I'm supposed to barricade myself in the house and work on school. The problem....Directv is giving a free day of NFL Sunday Ticket so I have access to every single game today! I'm sure y'all see where this is going.

Hope y'all all have a great day!
