I am caught up on posts through Saturday morning! Geesh... :lol:

Check out our temps this week. High of 94 on Tuesday & a high of SIXTY SIX, low of FORTY TWO on Friday! :cold: Talk about a drastic change in temps!!!

Ours looks pretty much the same!!!!! :???:

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a hot weekend, but we had a good time. Friday night, we went to hear Jacob's guitar teacher, Chris, play in a blues concert. It was a great show! I know I've mentioned it before, but Chris is the younger brother of my old HS friend, Mark, who played in the band with me for years & years. It's funny to see how much Chris looks like Mark, and has the same on-stage mannerisms. Chris' drummer (Matt) is our drummer, too, so it felt like I should have been on stage instead of being in the audience.

Saturday was all about hunting, and Jacob and I had a blast doing that. Sunday was relaxation at mom's...except for having to drag the broken pecan limbs across the orchard to the burn pile.

Tonight I have a city council meeting and Nancy has a church Ladies Circle meeting. Run, run, run!

Great job on the 10 mile bike ride!!! Yep, next time you go all the way around!!! :grin: We haven't rode around our lake yet this year. Normally we try to do it at least once. It is 27 miles around. Wew! Need a nap after that one!!!

I did a 50 mile ride once when I was in scouts but that was 18 years ago.

It's a little drastic for me!! Yikes!!! I have a feeling we might need to turn the heat on at our trailer at the lake Friday night. It doesn't take long for it to get cold in there!!

We're going to the lake this weekend too and I know we'll be turning the heat on in the motorhome!

A new workweek means a week closer to Christmas! That final window can't come soon enough. It's a beautiful morning here in Canada's capital. Temperatures are to reach the lower 20s/mid 70s with a little bit of wind. A perfect way to celebrate the final single digit day of September!

Today is my first official day of job searching. If you all find something, let me know! ...Kidding. I am searching in full force. I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the next. After all, a milestone will soon follow!

Unfortunately, Harlowe has been having trouble again. She was sick all day yesterday, and I am feeling so worried & stressed. Breaks my heart. Can you guys please continue to pray for her?

YAHOOO! Finally caught up!! For now...

Hubby was almost at the end of his digging the trench when he hit a big root. Right now he is watering the area so he can dig easier with a shovel. He works so hard! He will come in and watch his team (49ers) play and then go back out after the game.

Hope your hubby got some rest last night!

Well, the new things are in! Took a lot more moving and shifting things around, but I think we're in pretty good shape. It opens up the front room a good bit (although there are a couple of tight corners), and there will be a good view of the Christmas tree when the time comes. We actually hauled up the artificial tree and measured it to make sure it would fit---it's a 4-1/2-foot tree that I usually put on a lamp table, but now it will be on top of a cedar chest. I also have a cabinet in the basement that I can put Christmas stuff away in, clearing up a few other storage shelves down there for year-round stuff. I'm sitting on the new sofa, enjoying the sunshine on this side of the house. There's no TV in here because of the piano, but it'll be a nice space to relax with music or the laptop. I can wrap gifts where I can see the tree.

There's more stuff to move around, put on shelves, etc., but we need to get some lunch first.

LOL I have such fond memories of watching re runs of Star Trek when I was growing up, they were the best. I still like watching old episodes now whenvever I get the chance.

You should have gotten on stage with them! I really like listening to Blues and Jazz especially in fall/winter. I would like to get a few blues christmas albums .... can anyone suggest any?

You must be so worried. Have you taken her to the Vet? I'm praying for her recovery and health.

We have our Fall & Halloween out even though it feels far from fall here. It feels like summer considering we had nice almost falllike weather earlier in August lol.

I bet it all looks really lovely, the weather has been strange everywhere.
