Good morning all. The weather is starting to look nice here. The forecast high today is 69. Looking out on the 10 day forecast our highs should stay in the mid 70s with lows in upper 40s/lower 50s. Hopefully we are finished with 80 degree days. This coming Sunday we get to celebrate the start of Fall. Hope the first frost is soon.

We are driving down to check on my parents this weekend. Right now they are holding their own. We are now praying they are home and able to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Have a bless day all.

I bought a candle from Kroger grocery store the other day called, Pumpkin Harvest. It's a 3 wick 10 ounce candle and was on sale for $3.99 (regular price $4.99). I was afraid with it being so cheap it would not smell as good burning like some cheap candles I have purchased in the past. This smells fantastic!!! I plan to go buy a couple more! I had bought at Bath and Bodyworks the Pumpkin Cupcake candle which smells wonderful too but this new one I bought smells just as good and less expensive.

If you have a Kroger grocery store and love pumpkin spice scents I highly recommend it!

It will drop down in the 80's all weekend! Then back up to 92 on Monday.

I am trying to catch up on the podcast. I listened to Merry Podcast #29 -- Counting Down to Christmas yesterday. I played it while I was cleaning the house and sure did enjoy it. Jayish interviews Joanna from Christmas TV History. It was very interesting. I enjoyed every bit of it! If you haven't heard it yet be sure to do so!

I hope you all have a Merry Day!

I Listen to them in the van, I nice way to spend the time when driving!

Good morning, MMC!

It was only 46 degrees when I woke up this morning. I wasn't expecting it to be so cold! We had to turn the heat on in my house.

I know I haven't been around very much. I just had surgery on Friday. It is nothing serious and I have known that I'd be getting the surgery for quite some time. It went smoothly except my heart rate jumped up to over 200 in recovery. Apparently during my surgery they gave me adrenaline so that caused the jump. They had to give me a beta blocker and then it dropped back down near 120. My resting heart rate is always near 100 so I wasn't too surprised considering the anesthesia and the other stuff they probably gave me. I had EKGs done while I was there and everything was fine. I got to go home the same day as the surgery.

Now that I have so much free time on my hands I will just have to spend it here :D

I am loving all of the fall candles and I cannot wait for the holidays, woo hoo!

yeah, I am able to get back on here! Was locked out for awhile there, not sure what I said to be sent to a time out!
I am off to my first shift back at subway in a bit. It is going to be strange to be back there again. Went over what is on the subs to refresh myself. Look forward to seeing some of my old customers again.
Have a great day everyone, I will try and check in on my break.

Good Morning, Delightfully Delirious Double-Digit Friends.

Indeed!

Behold:
Days to the Season: 57
Days to Christmas Day: 99

Double-Double for sure!

And our next Milestone -- one week from tomorrow -- the 3/4 mark to Christmas Day!
And then......
Well, being a Christmas person, I can't say it.
(At least, not yet!)

Rain yesterday morning, then clear skies for the remainder of the day, which was slightly on the warm and humid side. Not bad though.
We have started today dry at 63 degrees here in the capital city.

Well, Carl's got a bang-up open house planned for tomorrow.
Something about windows. Details to come.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!

That count looks magnificent, Crown! 99 Days to go! Double digits always bring a smile to my face.

As for Carl's plans... Windows? Hmm. I wonder what that could be....8-)

Good morning,

I watched the rest of the game last night and saw my Bengals pull out a tough win. I tried to come back here a few times during the game but couldn't get on, I was worried my IP address was blocked again but here I am. I dropped the boys off at school and then took a trip to KMart to look at their Halloween stuff, nothing too exciting this year, but their Harvest/Thanksgiving stuff was was very nice. I then went to check out Goodwill for their Christmas stuff, no good decorations, but I did get a Christmas DVD for $2, "Rick Steves European Christmas" I know you are a big fan of that CAH, so I got it partly because of your past reviews on it. (and the fact it was only $2)

I weighed myself this morning to see how I am doing with my "diet" after my cholesterol screening last week, and according to my scale I have lost 6lbs in a week. I was expecting 1-2 maybe 3lbs at most but 6?!!!! I must have been ingesting quite a bit of calories before I have gone to sensible portions, and I have cut out the candy for the most part, and the free donuts at work. cheesy

I have things to do around the house, I will be popping on throughout the day.
Have a great Tuesday!!

Good morning everyone!

We saw some apartments yesterday but they were out of our price range. We'd sooner stay here than downsize and pay more! That doesn't make much sense. I have an appointment this afternoon for what appears to be a decent apartment. We'll see how it goes. Otherwise, Kim and I have an appointment tomorrow morning for the apartment that we really want! It isn't listed online. There is just a small FOR RENT sign in front of the house. It's the first floor and basement of a home... and at a decent price. We're really hoping that it works out. It would be wonderful if they let us move into it in November but we are going to see if they will at least let us hold off until mid-October. The only problem is I don't know if I can afford double rent... We'll see! I think I can work it all out. I need a job!

It's a chilly morning in Ottawa. However, it is forecasted to warm up throughout the day. Highs of 17C/63F. Perfect for September. At least I can still comfortably wear shorts and a t-shirt. I want to hold on to that for as long as I can!

Well, I need to search for employment. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. A double digit Tuesday! We're on our way toward some monumental milestones! 2013 is moving fast. Let's hope it slows down when the Season arrives!

Congratulations on the "diet" and the win last night. I caught the final quarter and it was pretty tight!

I saw a pumpkin and vanilla candle on saturday at the shops, your post has made me decide to try it. I also bought a candle for 0.69p the other day and it actually smells nicer and stronger than some more expensive ones I have had. You are so right!

I hope it all works out and you and Kim find an apartment you like and within your budget. It can be so stressfull moving. Fingers crossed you can settle into somewhere before the season starts!

I was looked out as well the last couple hours. Maybe there was a general problem?

Good lunch Time MMC!

This morning when I opened my window, guess what did I see? There was snow on the top of my home mountain, the Rigi (1797,5 meters over the sea level)!!! I'm soooo happy now!

How exciting to see!!!!! Jealous! (though I'm not ready for THAT cold of temps here yet!!!)

I already found a way to go there, which I would be able to afford. It's on the second advent weekend (07. and 08. December). I'm waiting on more detailed information, but I guess this will be my own personal christmas gift.

I hope it all works out & you get to go!!

Actually I tried it several times. So far I hadn't time to try it with a youtube video, but it's on my list. Maybe you are right and the youtube videos will be successful in teaching me.

The youtube videos are really helpful. Good luck!!!!

I'm dressed in a hoodie today and I'm freezing in my office. Guess they forgot to shut down the AC. Temps are around 55 F (13 C) at the moment.

Stay warm!!!!

Good Morning! How was your evening/night? Hope you are all ready for a new day. Still raining here. I've got some Billie Holiday on and getting on with some house chores. Baby has just gone down for a nap so I might have a little coffee break!

We did get the chance to crack open a bottle of red wine and watch a couple old movies last night as planned. It was good o see them again after such a long time. We might keep the theme tonight and watch Guys and Dolls. I don't know what it is about the stormy weather that makes me want to go back in time.... I suppose the nostalgia is comforting somehow.

Ok well sorry for the random babbling.......lol Have a really good day everyone!

What a great night! I hope you get to enjoy another like that tonight!!!

It will drop down in the 80's all weekend! Then back up to 92 on Monday.

I am trying to catch up on the podcast. I listened to Merry Podcast #29 -- Counting Down to Christmas yesterday. I played it while I was cleaning the house and sure did enjoy it. I hope you all have a Merry Day!

I listened to (and enjoyed it) too!!!

Good morning!
I just got back from walking the dogs. It is breezy and cool this morning. Temperatures are in the upper 40's and we will warm up to 65 degrees today. It finally feels like Fall weather.
My youngest is home from school today with a sore throat. I'm going to take her in to the doctor to make sure its not strep. I also need to go to the supermarket for a few things. Not too much else going on.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Hope she is feeling better quick!! Lots of that going around. No wonder - 100º down to 40's in less than a week! Geesh! Enjoy your day!

Good morning! Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning,

(and the fact it was only $2)

I weighed myself this morning to see how I am doing with my "diet" after my cholesterol screening last week, and according to my scale I have lost 6lbs in a week. I was expecting 1-2 maybe 3lbs at most but 6?!!!! I must have been ingesting quite a bit of calories before I have gone to sensible portions, and I have cut out the candy for the most part, and the free donuts at work.

I have things to do around the house, I will be popping on throughout the day.

Congrats on the 6lb loss!!! I saw this morning that the Bengals pulled it out! My sis/bil were at the game!

Good morning MMC! It was a chilly 43º for our walk this morning! :cold: I had gloves on, but got too warm. But then I ended up putting on my ear muffs. It was an awesome walk!

I'm 95% sure I'll be taking off work tomorrow. I can walk in the morning, drink coffee, work on my new Christmas afghan, drink coffee, take Mike's bike for a ride, drink coffee, clean house, drink coffee... and cook for tomorrow night! I think I will need to cook for at least 13, but more may end up showing up?? It could be 20 or more!!! I'll just (hopefully) cook plenty & leftovers are always good!

Make it a great day everyone!!

Good morning, all! It's such a gorgeous day here; 59 degrees, sunny, and breezy. We had some of the genuine Autumn fish-scale clouds here this morning, but they cleared off early and the sun came out. I can't wait for 3:00 so I can go home and hang out in the yard for awhile.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a big, long post typed up and hit "Submit Reply"...then it took me to the "Having trouble accessing My Merry Christmas?" page...and the whole post was lost. Lucky you!

I had to unexpectedly leave work early yesterday to get Elizabeth to dance at 4pm. Nancy is an accountant, and there was some sort of deadline. Anyway, I had a couple hour to kill while I waited on Elizabeth, so I went to Wal-Mart and K-Mart looking for the new release of the movie World War Z, but they were both sold out! Too bad, I love me a good zombie flick.

It's overcast and a good deal cooler today. Thank you, Lord!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
