Good morning, MMC! How is everyone today? What do you have planned for the weekend?

It has been pouring down rain for at least five hours now. I don't mind a little bit of rain here or there, but I don't like when it doesn't stop all day long! I have a routine with my mom where we take a nice long walk every evening. If it doesn't stop raining then we are not going to be able to go. Since it's raining, it's just going to be a cozy day inside. I have to write two poems for my Creative Writing class and then do a free writing exercise. If I can get that done early enough I am going to help my mom with dinner. She is making homemade spaghetti and meatballs which is one of my favorites. My family is going to get the new Brad Pitt movie tonight from Redbox. I usually like his movies so hopefully it's a good one.

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to clear up, although it is going to be pretty chilly. My mom, brother, and myself have plans to go and buy some fall decorations. My mom and I picked up gourds at the supermarket yesterday but we are waiting to put them out until we get some pumpkins, hay, and mums. I always love to decorate for the fall because it is just a reminder that Christmas is literally right around the corner. I also have plans to watch QVC's Joy of Christmas tonight and tomorrow - woo hoo! It is tonight from 11 PM - midnight and tomorrow from midnight - 1 AM, 2 - 5 AM, 8 - 9 AM, and 6 - 8 PM. I think I will mostly be watching tonight for an hour and then tomorrow in the evening. I don't think I will be able to stay awake for the 2 - 5 AM window!

My dad just let me know that he made some lunch so I am going to go eat and then try to get these poems done. I am so not a poem person. I would much rather write a short story!

Have a good afternoon!

good morning everyone...have a great weekend ahead guys

Good morning, frosty!! Hope you have a great weekend, too!!

Good Morning! Just popping in quickly to wish all of you a good weekend. Quiet day planned at home today. Later on my sons and I are going to bake some cookies and cupcakes and then watch Harry Potter and a couple other movies. I am looking forward to just chilling out at home today. Tomorrow I'll be working so I will catch up with you all on Monday.

We think everything is going to be ok with DH's new role but we will know for sure next week. Once again THANK YOU so much for all the support, it means alot!

Seawaters and Gabulldawg I was wondering where you two were, good to see you. Gabulldawg I hope you are on the road to recovery.

Happy Fall/ Autumn , it officially starts this weekend right? Whoo Hooo!

Your day sounds amazing!! Enjoy!!

Still keeping DH, and all of you in my thoughts & prayers!!

Oh !! I forgot to say I saw my first christmas commercial last night!!!! It was a sofa advert. I think it was the first I saw last year to, I guess they have to advertise early because delivery can take up to 12 weeks.

*AWESOME*!!!

I've just seen a few- Hallmark Christmas movie previews, K-Mart layaway, and the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, etc. I've really been enjoying a few Halloween ads- especially the Kit Kat candy bars one!

I found these at bulk food store yesterday! There are more and will go back and try them when these are tried. They sell them one at a time so you can try them before buying a whole box. I am enjoying pumpkin spice right now, very good!

Sweet find, CS!! Yum!! Please continue to share your reviews =)

We are watching You've Got Mail on TV!! I just had to tell you guys LOL!

Love that movie & the seasonal scenes!! So charming!!

Hay star !!! found them on ebay lots of them...

They do loads of different ones

Are you buying any?!

xx

Thanks Made!!!

That is so funny! Ever since she got her license she's said she wanted a red car. She changed her mind two days ago, she wants white!!! I'm surprised the car dealer doesn't have a white one on the lot. We'll find out today how long it will take to get one in.

 That is funny!! Hope they can get one soon for her!!

Have a great Saturday, everyone!

Happy Saturday, sugar!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here in central Indy with a high around 70 degree's. Not much going on here today. Just heading to the orchard this morning. I'm going to meet my sister and niece's there. Then I need to run to the grocery store and buy more coffee for tonight. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of drinking going on. I'm going to try to squeeze in a nap at some point too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have fun at the orchard!! Hope you can nap later, buddy.

xx

Good morning!
I have walked the dogs, vacuumed and started laundry so far. I am going to finish straightening up the house as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. Not too much planned for today, I just have some errands to run. I have to go to the bank, pick up a prescription at the pharmacy and go to the supermarket to food shop. Its going to be cloudy today with a chance of showers, temperatures in the mid 70's. Hoping it won't rain later tonight, I'm planning on grilling burgers and chicken for dinner. I also have a recipe for crock pot scalloped potatoes that I'm going to try out. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Mmmm!! Dinner sounds amazing!! Let us know how the crock pot scalloped potatoes turn out! I love doing the cheese-y hash brown potatoes in a crock pot, too.

^^Note the spelling of cheesy<--- trying to avoid this smiley face, lol^^

Enjoy your day, HmG!!

I laughed when I read what you are having for dinner, the same as us, We decided yesterday to make a big pot full.

well the rain has played havock with events around here...

The final day of the International Plowing Match in Mitchell has been cancelled. Officials say due to torrential rain the site is closed and no one will be permitted entry for at least 24 hours. They add the decision was made for the safety of visitors, exhibitors, and volunteers. There’s been no word on whether any events will go forward tomorrow instead. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the area, with about 15 to 25 mm of rain expected today.

In total we got about 160 mm (6 1/2 inches) of rain from 7pm last night to 11am this morning. Thankfully it has finally stopped. Maybe they can continue with the events. I know that Savor Stratford and the fall fair have started up again and people are showing up for them.

Wow!!!! With that much rain, I'm surprised you don't need a boat to get around!!!!

Okay, now that I'm done at the orchard, I need to find the energy to go the grocery store. Hmm, better put a pot of coffee on.

Snowflake and all other Halloween lovers...I posted a few new pics in the Halloween Blossoms thread. Hope to have more later.

Good afternoon everyone!

Stopping in for a quick hello. No news on the home front as of yet. I visited a nice place yesterday. It had everything we wanted except location. We would be willing to move a couple blocks outside our desired radius, however, this home was a few doors down from drug houses, which happen to be across the street of each other. Too bad, really.

In other news, I received an email yesterday that pretty much made my day! About a month ago, I had an interview in Brockville, ON for a position on the Supply Teacher list at the Upper Canada District School Board, which covers a lot of the outskirts of Ottawa and as far away as about an 1 1/2 hour drive. Anyway, I received an email yesterday saying that they are proud to offer me a spot on the Secondary Supply List! It is my first official teaching position since graduating in 2011. It only took just over two years... Wow. Needless to say, I am very excited for this opportunity. I do not know how many calls I will receive, but it will be great to be in the classroom again...even on a substitute basis. Aside from having to drive a bit to substitute, the only real downfall is that I will now need to find a flexible job.

In terms of today, there isn't much happening. It's been raining for much of the day. We had a very wet practice this morning. It was a little rough, but we certainly needed it to prepare for regionals next weekend in Boston. A nice way to end our weekend practices for the year and a nice way to send off the last day of Summer. Apparently, it's a late Fall this year as it isn't scheduled to begin until tomorrow. As always, no complaints here! I am ready for a new season and I am sure we're all looking for to the Season!

Kim and I visited Wal-Mart yesterday. Their seasonal section let me a little disappointed. I can recall a few years ago stumbling across Christmas items around Labour Day weekend. Not so much this year. The usual Halloween stuff was out in full swing and the final aisle, which sometimes has Christmas stuff creep in a little early, was still filled with on-sale barbecues. Soon enough, I guess! Soon enough.

Well, I think I should figure out some plans for the rest of the day. It would be nice to get out of the house, but the rain seems to be putting a damper on some options.

Have a great Saturday, everyone! The weekend is here! Tomorrow, a new season will be here. A season that brings in the beginning of our favourite Season! So much lies ahead.

Big Congrats on the teaching position, and making the Secondary Supply list, brent!! So happy for you! I bet the rest will fall into place, and you'll find a great job willing to work with your schedule.

Hope you find the perfect place soon, one with all that you & Kim want, and in a primary location too.
I will keep you guys in my prayers!
