Christmas Countdown - 2013

I can't believe it's already almost 9am here! I love when I get busy at work and lose track of time. So far it's been a great day at work, but I just received word from Brandi that Jordan does have an inner ear infection so the Dr. gave her some medication and drops for his ear. I hope it goes away soon.

I also just discovered it's almost exactly 3 years I have been a member here. I remember in 2010 I was settling In south Georgia after being in England for 10 years so that first year back in the states took some getting use to.(especially the weather!!)but I got a Christmas bug in late September and I found this website and lurked here for days before I decided to join up and meet folks like myself who see the magic in Christmas. So on Sept. 29 will be my 3 year anniversary! I was single no kids or anything, now I have wife and 2 young sons! I can't wait to share my love for the holidays with them!!! Well that is enough of a walk down memory lane, I better get back to work. Talk to you all later!!!

Thanks so much for the thoughts for Jordan! I remember being very shy here at first just like in real life I did not even venture into the countdown thread until like 6 months or a year later! I stayed in the games section mostly, but I was surprised when I came in this thread everyone made me feel right at home now I have like 28,000 posts I can't believe it. My wife knows everyone here because I mention yall thru out the day!!!

Good Thursday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I'm late this morning, lots of things happening here at work, and I'm tried to surf the wave.

Well, got word today that I am very unique, a rare specimen even. These words from my optometrist! She tells me I have a form of color blindness which explains why I cannot read anything that is typed in yellow or orange. It is a relief to my son as he was getting tired of coming over to read stuff for me when I could not make it out. I also discovered if I highlight it (like you do if you want to cut and paste) it will show up darker and then I can read it.
I can see there is writing there, just not what. I can also tell it is yellow if it is outlined in black or some other color.
But, at least I am unique!

Once that starts we will have to deal with this...

Hehe, how cute! We have not got our first snowfall yet either, they say mid October is when the dustings of snow start. By December snow will be on the ground all the time! I am NOT use to that but am looking forward to it!

Well lunch time is about to roll around in 45 minutes. I go from 1130 to 1230. I think it's going to be cheese and crackers to nibble on why I finish working on the end of the month paperwork. The end of the month can be stressfull but I try to keep on top of it.Everything has to be closed out by midnight of the last day of the month. Anyhow I better get back to work. That is way above average correct? I think there has to be a front on the way to cool yall off!!! 81 this late in the year is like what we use to call an "indian summer" oh well enjoy your apple cider that sounds really good!:razz:

Yeah we should be low 70's this time of year. The cool down should get here this weekend!!! We are in for a wild ride according to the weatherman though.

Regular apple cider doesn't have any alcohol in it

However, my friend Erin's Dad makes his own, and that stuff does!! It's really good, you wouldn't even know there's alcohol in it. He calls it "apple pie cider". You need to sip it.

That's so interesting! Inconvenient, but interesting! Is that something that developed, or have you always had trouble with yellow and orange? (Edit: Never mind, I just saw where you said it's genetic.)
