Watching opening night for the Bruins, they lead 2-1 heading to the third period. Busy day at work, I have got all my projects that were to be started next week finished today. It works out better since my best employee is on vacation next week.

Got to finish watching the game...cheesy

The Bruins won their season opener 3-1, it was an exciting game, two of my favorite players got a goal. The start of the hockey season is another benchmark toward the march to Christmas.

Morning will be here sooner than I realize, I am going to watch the post-game show and then head to bed.

What does your day look like?

What are your weekend plans?

Today, I need to answer some e-mails, do laundry, and other housework. Our deck finally got stained, so I also need to finish moving everything back out there from the garage.

This weekend, Adrian leaves for a business trip, so I'll be busy helping him get packed and getting his truck loaded up and ready to go.

I also plan to head to Hallmark for the ornament premiere!! I will try & stick to one favorite ornament this time around There are just too many amazing and beautiful ones-so hard to resist!

It's supposed to be a rainy & cool Fall weekend- love it!!

I don't have much to say today. It is very rainy here and everyone is in a bad mood. Two of my co-workers are on holiday and we actually have work for two extra co-workers, but don't seem to find any.

Yeah, I'll enjoy it. On top of that there will also be a day long tv show about the biggest airport in my country. Which is celebrating it's 60 year anniversary. The show will center about everything regarding flying, tourists, planes ect. Sounds very interesting and I really love this airport.

I am about to run to the grocery store to get things for our fridge at work and also getting everybody at work some goodies for lunch. I have to admit the day is passing by fast. I can't wait for tomorrow though tomorrow night is the last night of my company and we are going into slc for some good eating and then to the movies to see Gravity in 3d! Countin down the hours at this point!

Just stopping by for a quick hello! How about the 'Pines last night?! Ol' Carl knows how to throw an October party! I wonder how he will celebrate next week. After all, it is the final 'Pines Day before our Thanksgiving here in Canada. Hopefully he keeps that in mind. Perhaps some nice tri-cornered hats with a few Thanksgiving specials... a mixture of Columbus Day and our Thanksgiving.

I think I should provide an update on my apartment/employment situation. They have both been solved. Kim and I are going to remain at our apartment until the end of April. Our friend Cassie is moving out of her place with her sister and needed a place to live until the same time next year. She plans on moving in with her boyfriend next Spring, but didn't want to quite yet as they have only been dating for less than a year. Anyway, she asked if she could move in with us. We really like the idea. We aren't forced into renting a place we don't really want and the market should be a lot better when all the students move out in the spring.

In regards to employment, I start a new admin position with an Engineering company on Monday. I had an interview last week. I didn't really think much of it, but they seemed to enjoy me. It's a maternity leave contract that lasts until the end of May. The pay is OK and I receive a $2500 bonus if I remain for the entirety of the contract. By my calculations, the bonus combined with my tax return should basically pay for my trip to Italy and a few places around Europe next summer. Just in case, I will do some savings at the position, too.

Well, including today, I have two more days left of unemployment. It's been a good run but I am ready to work. Luckily, I think I will be able to enjoy the comforts of MMC at the new job, too.

Heh, thank you but that's exactly how my timetable on Thursday looks like - no break between the lectures but I'm okey because of knowing that there's only one such intensive day in a week. :]

Good evening everyone!

It was raining today here and I'm exhausted! Not physically, I guess, but emotionally. Anyway, the rain wasn't so bad, which is good, and my advisor of studies really made my day! I met her in study abroad information session and she told me that she had gotten in touch with the university of Amsterdam and had explained my case (one of the documents required to be submitted is academic transcript, and it often needs about 10-14 days, excluding delivery time from Glasgow to the city where I study and live, to be prepared and therefore, it's very likely I won't get it by the deadline which is in 11 days). The university had agreed to wait for my transcript a little longer which enables me to submit the remaining documentation by the deadline and be confirmed for the exchange. IT'S SO AWESOME!!! ^^ I already contacted my friend in Amsterdam and said that I might come there in January and she seemed to be pretty excited too. Yay!

After that, things REALLY start to get interesting.

(OK, OK. I was just kidding about it being too cool too early. It's OK to back off a bit now!)
We have started this fine Weekend Eve at 65 degrees here in the capital city.

Good Morning my Christmas Friends!

My granddaughter will ask me from time to time if I can get my animated Santa out that plugs in and moves when turned on. I had it out yesterday for her. We had let our tortoise out for a "run" around the house which he enjoys very much. It was funny because he was making his rounds "running" all over the place and suddenly paused right in front of the Santa staring at him in awe. He stood there for a couple of minutes moving his head up and down looking at Santa then continued on his way trucking around the house. I could not stop laughing because he looked like he was really admiring him. He's a cute little guy that has no fear of anything and will walk right up to our dogs, cats and us trying to see what we are all up to. The dogs and cats seem to like him and will hang out with him.
